1) This forum is called "General Off Topic Chat" - that means you DON'T put anything about GTA or games in here - i'll move it to the San Andreas help section 2) Have you installed gtasa v1.1 from nomorehotcoffee.com? That will bring your game up to the latest version, and iron out most of the glitches. 3) On the PC, Playing on the right settings, with no mods, with no other programs running is the best way to play San Andreas, if you don't have these conditions more things are likely to go wrong.

I agree with 888, going a couple of months without a decent working shop isn't going to make us leave. I think it'd be better to get that sorted now, so that its worn in a bit before the christmas holidays - when the occasional members will drop by again and (legit) new members will be looking round. 2.1.1 SEEMS 99% stable to me, and updates are issued regularly enough to keep on top of any bugs - not forgetting we can report them ourselves. I think we should think about skins and mods sooner rather than later, then we can implement quickly.

This is a fairly simple game, and no doubt been used before. Post a picture of someone or something being pwned. Pwned? Don't bother posting all the obvious ones from the net (eg the cat on the minefield or the dude with a burning paper bag on his head) - they've been seen a million times - come up with, find or make an original one. Political incorrectness is acceptable, but direct racial or homophibic slurs really aren't.

Yea it always does that to me. It's fine now though. Its just really annoying when not even WinMsgr or WebMsgr works - thats probably something to do with the server your exchange connects to. Maybe IPs in a certain range use a certain server, to spread things around a bit. I dunno, but I do know that msn have 50 servers, so if one goes down the other 49 share the load. Just try all the other messaging services, and maybe try web msn through a proxy or something. http://webmessenger.msn.com or http://www.emessenger.com and if that doesnt work, apps like GAIM won't. So yea maybe just leave it if it gets to that stage.

A'ight mvi, is that your way of saying you want to take over the London mod? Notice the whole v0.1 BETA surrounding the London releases, which was just really to try out some methods of doing things, such as what people like, what people cba with, what bugs people notice, and README's for the mods so people find it easy to install with zero modding experience. People found installation hard, didnt understand archives, loved the British roads, loved the british cars, loved the ideas of british street accessories etc, but weren't that bothered about familiar brands it seems. So yea gtaL v0.1b was an arsing around really, but hey it had a few nice things in, not meant to be a TC at that stage. If people didnt keep switching from mod to mod, jumping from London to Trinity to whatever else you did, or London to La Casinina to GTAGB, just isn't good. I recommend you find a project you like, make sure its worth it, and stick with it. If it doesnt work, make sure everything in c:\program files\rockstar games\grand theft auto vice city and all its subfolders is NOT read only. Select everything in that folder, right click, properties, UNtick read only, click OK, then try again.

The rules do not say you can't have a free site or forum, and it does not imply that free sites/forums cannot be successful, but to the most part, they are not. Anybody can quickly make an IF forum, and the people who do are often n00bs who come onto this forum, all excited and hyper about their sites, and spam them everywhere. I know not everybody does this, but we draw the line there, allowing no spamming of this sort.

What exactly are you trying to do when that message comes up? Install a mod? Download a mod? Open VCMM? When does that message come up?

If you have GTA3, you need a GTA3 mod, not a vice city mod. Only Vice City mods use VCMM GTA3 mods do not use vcmm - they will give you a number of files which you need to put into gta3.img using an IMG tool, which you can get from the gta3 tools section of this site's downloads database. If you have a vice city mod, you need to put it in vice city (not gta3), and you may need vcmm to do that. If so, you posted this topic in the wrong place, and i'll move it.

You do NOT need to make six topics for your VCMM problems. I'm issuing you with a warning for it. Just have one topic and reply each time you have a problem if you're getting more than one. And I don't think VCMM problems count as an emergency for immediate response either. I've edited the topic title to make it a bit... friendlier. Your problem has probably been answered in another topic anyway, so READ the previous topics in this subforum to find out if we've answered the question already, that will be quicker than posting ten new topics in bad english with capital letters and fifty emoticons. Reinstall Vice City and VCMM, or uninstall every single mod. Then install the DMagic1 Wheel Mod through VCMM, then install one mod at a time, and test it, so you can see if one particular mod breaks it and you can avoid that mod. What happens? Do you get an error message? Does the game crash? Can you not find the cars? Do they disappear from where they should be? Do they turn up all white? What happens?

If you don't make stupid topic names and fill your posts with random emoticons, people will be more likely to reply. Try installing a different mod, and see if that comes up with the same error.

Five Hundred Posts I registered on TGP back in October, but I only made one post. I came back in February of this year and began joining in. Within a couple of months i became a mod, then a super mod around summer when we were suffering from spam attacks, then Head of Forum Security, which is where i get to pretend i'm in charge of something Five hundred posts, hey, thats a lot of wasted hours.
