Firstly, Ray...no amount of formatting will make any of the staff consider you in any different light than they are already. A bit of orange and comic sans does nothing over simply having the right person for the job. And neither does multiple posting when you decide you have something else to add. If anything, your initial offer should be eloquent enough to cover this. It's also not about promising to right old ways. If you ever need help, and can't find it elsewhere, people are happy to help you... don't make so much of a sacrifice out of it. Depends on the level of detail you'd want, but yeah. One you got the amount of detail you wanted into the 240,320 image you could make it 1680,1050 if you really wanted.

My suspicion is that it's something like a cam belt. That's not too bad to fix... but, my other suspicion is that it's maybe something like piston rings not getting enough lubrication. That's a total bitch, though.

Not as such. Unless you're some kind of machine, you'll never get a photo-realistic vector image made by hand. But you can get a really neat style with as much or little detail as you like. More detail needs more time, but you get more out of it... basically I just lay on the detail until I think it looks good without 'trying' to be photo-realistic.

It's easier than it's looks, honestly... you can use some artistic licence to compensate for the style, and for reflections from the background. More work done, allloooot more to go.

Hhaha. It's pretty much..break the car down into sections, draw them out as shapes, then add more shapes on top for shadows, highlights and extrusions. Just do what you think will make it look how it's supposed to look. Worked a bit more on the hood last night. Will update later on.

So for a while I've been looking into the idea of vectorising an image, a personal project or something to just keep my claws sharp, as it were... and to fill my downtime. I've seen a nice few vectorised cars on the net, and i always liked the way they turned out. Figured mine would never turn put looking like that, but...fortune favours the brave. Very much a work in progress, about 4 hours(ish) work here. So, without further ado, comments and critique please? EDIT: I understand there's a gap between the 2 parts, and I'll rectify that near the end.

Depends really. If I'm travelling for only 1 long day, I'd take the train, because it's a bit cheaper than petrol. But paying for trains over 2 days is a bitch, plus if I'm planning to stay I'd presumably have somewhere to put the car. As for driving in and around London, I'll do what I do on most normal roads... put it to the test and hope for the best :/

London sounds good to me. I have a form of transport alternative to buses and trains now...

I'd use actual text for the..text.. Use something withl a thin weight like century gothic or Helvetica 35. Then, if you want to extend elements of the text you can right clickk it's layer and convert it to a shape, then modify it that way. Like how the radial grad is centered around the red swirly thing though, nice touch.
