Is there a map of the swingset?
-
Sounds good, kind of miss it. But this one has been good for a laugh or two.

I think Gerry ends up in prison either way, . I'll try taking out Derrick this time just to see what happens. Too bad you can't call Dwayne for some back up, especially when you try to take down some of the "MOST WANTED" like chasing the guy rollin' w/ 3 guys packin' AKs all over Broker. You keep the phone either way & Playboy asked you to kill a friend first.

I got that the other night from a couple power surges. When I shut it down & restarted, it was okay. Make sure you have a decent surge protector.

The DL section wouldn't support my screenshots, so here's some -

It would be fairly simple in theory, just a huge job if you want to do more than a couple. You'll need to identify each ped's voice pack (identified in PEDS.IDE), extract them & replace them w/ your own. For active characters like Big Smoke or Toreno you'll have to extract the cutscenes & re-dub them as well. I think they're identified in the MAIN.SCR file. All the tools are out there, just a matter of tracking down the bits. I don't know about SA but GTA4 has something like 80,000 lines of dialog NOT counting cutscenes & missions.

Gerard - Epic, good pic.

Catch him standing on a curb & nail him w/ the Saint's Row 2 sewage truck. I hope R* keeps these numbers handy for the next time some dildo gets "traumatized" by a video game.

Welcome & enjoy, take a minute (if you haven't already) to read the rules & checkout the layout of the site. Start w/ this tutorial - http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12625 For GTA3/VC/SA it's fairly easy, they're in the file GTA3.IMG in the MODELS folder. Use an IMG tool, EXPORT feature to find the DFF & TXD of a model. Save them in a folder w/ a name you'll recognize like "OEM Sabre" (for the Sabre). The Export function just pulls a copy of the desired file out of the IMG file & still leaves the model in the game until you use DELETE. The DFF is the model itself & the TXD is the textures. Just don't forget step 1: BACK UP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!!

1 Stone = 2 Birds. As soon as the 3rd island opened I grabbed a Higgins heli & flew to South Alderny to get the combat sniper off the roof of an apartment & incurred a 6* in the process. As soon as I had the rifle I flew for Bohan & pancaked the heli into the construction site just south of the savehouse & grabbed a truck. I was able to hold of the cops for a few minutes until I got tired of them, went to the savehouse & saved. Besides the achievement I have a nice PSG sniper rifle.

Fix the phone when Niko's drunk so he can call a cab. Poor Dwain got run over trying to get one to stop.

Thanks, hope you enjoy it. I would have posted it months ago but I wanted to test it. Nothing I hate more than downloading & installing a mod just to find it's full of glitches. As for where I learned, I got BW's mission editor, backed up my files & opened it up. I had a little computer school back in the early '90s so I had a basic idea about writing code, but mostly just hands on. I also found a couple tutorials & got a look at other script mods.

In all fairness, I'd say the topic still has use since people still play & mod GTA3. I even fire it up from time to time.

What kind of parts are you looking for? US Midwestern voice, can also sound like a redneck & deep south redneck, also do a few accents.

So he is real? I thought I recognized him in the comedy club in GTA4, I take it he's DEF Comedy Jam material. Most of my shows are in re-runs for the summer so I'm watching older Stargate SG1, Kingdom Hospital & waiting for the new seasons of Stargate: Atlantis, Eureka & such. Getting my fix of new Venture Brothers & an interesting show on Sci-Fi called Charlie Jade, about some PI who gets caught in an alternate reality.

NOTE: This isn't really right for GAMEPLAY & HELP, should be moved (one of the mods will probably do that). After living in the new Liberty for almost 2 month, I'd love to see what they could do w/ VC (GTA4 DLC?) & would be all for it.

I miss the '70s.

I'm okay w/ heights (although looking over the edge of a tall building does make my stomach turn a little), but widths..... AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! SHE'S SO WIDE!!!!! I know, I'm setting a bad example. Seriously speaking, not much really scares me these days. One thing that does (at least) concern me is that my health could take a sudden turn & I won't be able to take care of my family. I think I've been going to too many funerals lately. Just for the record, I'm okay, just old.

Glad to see I'm not the only "old schooler" around here. But we won't hold that against you. Balls is giving her a gift that shows how much you really care, a SHOTGUN! (did that first year I was w/ Mamma Kitty.)

You should have an install disc, just reinstall the game. Uninstall & defrag your drive (to get rid of the current install) first. Staff has said SCRIPT/DATA files are okay (they make up most of the mods after cars) as they don't bypass needing a play disc. Asking for EXE files will get you in trouble. If you're interested, here's a good script mod (okay it's mine), tested/works & close to original script complete w/ saves. http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/file.php?id=2891

You Got The Message Achievement
Urbanoutlaw replied to cragga_lfc's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
Really? Are you talking about the cars you take to Brucie's garage or the ones you take to ? The first mission on the 3rd island is helping Packie's brother Derrick, BTW. -
Are you sure about the crashing? I ask because I ran into something similar in VC. The game wouldn't crash but the firetruck/vigilante missions wouldn't work right (game called for 4 passengers in cars). It also screwed up missions that called for 4-door cars.

Look for the "Top Fun" van (Curse you Berkly!) near the south entrance to the airport, you can practice the RC heli until you get the hang of it & remember the rotor makes a nice melee weapon. Concentrate on taking out the armed guards as you find them & start w/ the top floor. The boat mission just takes practice to learn the course & remember the "handbrake" also works on boats for tight turns. Your double target on the assassination mission is easy. Visit the Hooker in by the south entrance of the airport & get the RPG from the pool before you take the mission. It also helps if you own the Hyman Condo savehouse, complete w/ a Maverick. Use the heli to land on a nearby roof & blast their truck w/ the RPG. As I recall you can get to all the targets from a rooftop except the guy on the billboard, but you can land nearby in the grass & get him w/ the sniper (look in the bush maze on the west side of Diaz's mansion). Good luck.

Define "decent recording device". Yes, I can fly helis. What do you need?

Welcome & enjoy, nice find. He looks just right for the kind of character Niko turned out to be.
