My parents recently bought me a new computer. Being the evil parents they are they didn't tell me they were getting me one. Since I know nothing about computers, could you please tell me if my computer is any good and even guess what price they paid for it (In £'s).

RAM: Windows: Windows XP5.1 (Build 2600) Service Pack 2

Internet Explorer: 7.0.5730.11

Memory (RAM): 1024 MB

CPU: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz

CPU Speed: 1808.0 MHz

Sound card: Realtek HD Audio output

Display Adapters: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS | NetMeeting driver | RDPDD Chained DD

Screen Resolution: 1024 X 768 - 32 bit

P.s. What newish games could it play on decent settings?

You figure something like that would come with two gigs of RAM. I'm running on an AMD Athon 64bit 4200+ (2.2 ghz, dual core) and it pretty much rapes. Looks pretty decent though, both of you. But boo for Intel :P

Conroes kick ass, Sky.

Also, why the hell did you take a 8800 GTX? That's about the most stupid choice you could make. 2x 8800 GT, buddy. Cheaper, faster.

@Ciaran: To be honest.. I don't think you actually can run all the latest games with that. Perhaps upgrade the Graphic Card (and maybe even the CPU if you don't mind spending a bit of extra cash).

intel core 2 quad q6600 has 2MB of cache each core u know...AMD Phenom quad core processors has 512kb of cache each core

i know that AMD is suitable for playing games because its pretty good...(Intel also good for programmings!)
