azn
If there were bikes in LCS, but then some motor company banned the ownership of them in LCS, then how do they return in GTAIV? Or has this already been confirmed >< Please tell me
Harwood Butcher
If there were bikes in LCS, but then some motor company banned the ownership of them in LCS, then how do they return in GTAIV? Or has this already been confirmed >< Please tell me First off, the (A.R.S.E.) got motorcycles banned from Liberty City, which was the excuse as to why they weren't in GTAIII. Although, there isn't any reason as to why they are back in GTAIV, but it might be explained in the game. Since Rockstar remodeled Liberty City and the storyline is supposed to be different from what it was, then the whole banning of motorcycles thing may never have existed in the new storyline GTAIV will have. Hopefully that helps.

First, Rockstar wanted to make LC more New York-ish, for using the same old GTA III-era map might mean a lack of effort; second, because of this, the ban might have been lifted, or might haven't existed at all... azn
So there are 2 possibilities; the ban was lifted for a reason we are yet to know, and, that this ban never existed because of the new chapter in Libterty City and Grand Theft Auto...Because the 2 city's are completely different the ban may have never existed in this new chapter but it would be interesting if GTAIV have more references to the previous 3 games in the series.. Hansui
yeah, aznn is right, R* aimed to create much realistic GTA and now they made Liberty City much different than the previous Liberty City...

GTA Don
There probably will be,just look at the third trailer and you`ll see Niko riding a motorcycle,I forgot what it was called. You can find out about A.R.S.E in the LCS case then there should be a manual and some stuff containing A.R.S.E. Urbanoutlaw
Technically - R* either didn't have motorcycle handling/physics figured out for GTA3 or just didn't consider them important until VC. Once motorcycles were added, they were left in for titles that followed, they were just really popular & added to the games overall. For sake of story - The ban in effect in GTA3 was temporary & I'd expect references to it in GTA4, like a news story behind why it was finally lifted or A.R.S.E. trying to get another ban. It wasn't supposed to be temporary though, but obviously if GTAIV is going to continue the whole thing behind the banning then it ended up being temporary, or re-instated. Thomas.
It's a brand new GTA series so yeah, I think motorbikes should be in the games. Only one game in the GTA III series didn't have motorbikes and that was GTA III. They might make A.R.S.E. references in the game.
niko bellend
Or maybe there will be a mission where A.R.S.E try to get back into power, and niko has to stop them or sumthin like that.
azn
OR a mission where A.R.S.E was successful reinstating the ban, and that Niko Bellic has to smuggle some bikes into Liberty City from one of the previous Cities by actually revisiting the city and picking up a few dozens then ride them to a container ship to be shipped back to LC and then bikes would be hot around Liberty City afterwards...The point of smuggling bikes back would not only to use them on a day to day basis but for a storyline mission for example someone rides it while you shoot while chasing someone down...Just my ideas Edited January 17, 2008 by aznn
