Something wrong in the Change Display Name in My Controls

Every time I try to change my name, this comes up. ''Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available.''

You can only change the name each 30 days, that's the problem, or you can't read?

Its not that, the screen still comes up when I go to see when I can change my name and they are within 30 days.

There is no way to fix it, you have to be patient and wait.

Yes it not like its a major problem. He just needs to change some setting, and it will be ok.

Actually,it's shittier now,you have to wait 90 days(3 months)to change the display name.

You wait a month, that's the limit unless Chris has changed it.

Chris has alot of things he needs to be doing. He doesn't have the time to change peoples names.

This should hopefully be fixed soon.

Although Sky maybe busy also.

The limit is now 3 months. Chris changed it because of the amount of members that are changing their display name EVERY month, and not being easily traceable through the forums. Pick your name, and stick with it.

There's no real reason why you should be changing your display name more often than every 3 months. If you've made a mistake or typo or there's a real problem, ask an admin to change it for you. But don't go round changing your identity every half hour.

Take it up with Chris if you disagree, was his decision.

I've never changed my name. Was thinking about changing it to Domenic but then I was like no.

Actually this is quite a good idea. I'm not likely to change my name for a while unless people still get confused over my name because it has a dot on the end. It will stop confusion over member names since a change of name means people will have to learn it again and try not to look out for that member's old display name. Good idea Chris
