  1. I have some photoshop stuff in my C: drive, such as this Shirley Temple doll joke, which is my response to Urbanoutlaw's Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends avatar...
  2. Thanks for the advice, Sky, and as for #1 canuck fan, I've moved to a suburb near Manila recently, well, as far as you know...
  3. It depends on your needs - will you use it for high-def gaming? Will you do some Blu-ray stuff on it?
  4. I don't have enough dough for that, that's why I'm asking for some firmware help...
  5. Too bad I apparently lost the manual; I just couldn't find out a way to get rid of this mess... I just slapped an MP3 disc, changed player mode from radio to dvd and out comes the crap screen! If only that hacking DVD hardware is only as easy as eating pie...
  6. I used my dad's Pioneer XV-DV131 player (Region 3), and after a while, the region stuff screwed up and the "Please Select Region" warning appeared on the TV screen. I'm looking for some Region 3 firmware for this unit, but so far I haven't found one. Could someone please help me?? The only beef with DVD is that you'll be forced to stick with the region crap, which was seen as a failed experiment to regulate disk sales. If you slap a DVD encoded for a different area in your drive several times then that would be a lot of headaches and ROM hacking...
  7. Yeah, it would be better if Niko Bellic appears in an opening FMV with an advisory warning gamers to be good citizens in real life. And the "8-year old GTA kid" incident would be the equivalent of giving a youngster a real gun - that's why there are ESRB ratings, right? It is likely to be some fabricated or exaggerated incident; it's sad to know that some people are biased when it comes to gaming...
  8. I made this in response to the White Castle Girl pwnage video on Youtube: The sleeping kid snippets were from Shirley Temple's film A Little Princess, while the logo's a parody of Blendtec's Will It Blend? meme...
  9. Manila is spelled as "Manila", without the extra L; thanks anyway for the comments...
  10. I'm talking about the blue toolbar that appears above the text box when you edit a wiki article...
  11. OK, so I was wondering how can I expand the toolbar in my Mediawiki site. In Wikipedia and Grand Theft Wiki, there are 21 toolbar options; in my wiki, I only have half the editing stuff... Any suggestions?
  12. Maybe a public service advisory similar to the one seen when you load up NFS: Carbon; it would be like Niko warning gamers to be good citizens in real life or something like that - the so-called experts would probably have less ammo to throw at R* if the developers did that...
  13. QD, as in the N-Gage QD, the one you're talking about...
  14. OK, but what if a total noob is using it?
  15. Vista just fools people; it seems that you need a Cray supercomputer just to run this crappy OS... If it had more practical stuff than cosmetic knick-knacks and stolen technology... Does Niko Bellic advocate Vista? No way, Jose...
  16. In layman's (noob) terms, GTA 3 is likely to work on a brand-new PC, Pentium 4, D, Core 2 Duo or faster... If you bought your Core 2 Duo or Sempron computer recently then you may not encounter any problems. Just make sure it's a legal (i.e., not cracked) and it will be fine...
  17. Hmm, noob crashed into forum without reaing the guidelines... I'm not the moderator here but please, if you're new here, lurk before you leap!
  18. This is all that I could do to myself...hehe
  19. Greetings, anyone? I'm turning 17 today...
  20. To quote Monsieur Chris: Look at the Forum Rules first before you dive into any crazy ideas of downloading warez, Kurt. No one here in this forum would dare to get GTA or any other app via BitTorrent without getting banned. That's why there are copyrights and FBI raids against warez groups - think of them for a minute - would it help R* if you stole their works? Ask yourself, Kurt...
  21. I don't have San Andreas on my rig, so maybe someone would do the machinima work for me, if that's OK with you. I'll do the audio stuff...
  22. San Andreas 2.0 is the "Second Edition" release of GTASA, with the Hot Coffee game blocked, and some bugfixes. The 2.0 fix prevents modders to make changes to the game's data files, so a downgrader is necessary. You can find out if your SA install's Hot Coffee-compliant or not by finding the Readme.txt file in the install directory. If the text says 2.0 then Hot Coffee's not present there...
  23. Hmm, another noob from nowhere, makes one post and leaves the forum... No offense, though, but look at the pinned threads in the Modding section; there's a tutorial topic that may help you with your problem. Zmodeller is one tool you can trust, if you know how to whittle a 3D model yourself... And try not to give away your email to everyone; this may attract potential spammers...
  24. I hope those idiots' IP ranges have been reported; Wikipedia has such a policy with vandals...
