Grand Theft Auto V will be set in a completely remade, modern day Los Santos. It has been confirmed in the GTA V trailer released by Rockstar Games.
-
Yo Rocker, next time when making posts like that, please provide us with a source. That way, we know where you are getting your information from, and so that we know you are not a liar. Regardless of whever you have provided a source or not, your statement is false. GTA V is set in modern day Los Santos, and is going to be released in either 2012 or 2013.

Considering the fact that Rockstar ended the GTA IV Era and the GTA III era, and considering the fact that Rockstar are modernising the Grand Theft Auto series, I highly doubt that GTA San Andreas will be "remixed" by Rockstar.

Take Two to GTA: Vice City 2 withing the next few days
MrLanceVanceDance replied to TheGreemSim's topic in GTA V
This picture has already been posted. Also, if this picture actually was the real deal, then Rockstar would have made a better name for "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 2" (eg. GTA City of Vice) . Also, for all I know, the paper could just be a fake, typed up by somebody on their PC in their spare time, just for fun. -
I would like the protagonist to be either Australian, English, Canadian or Mexican. Also, I want the protagonist to speak in a cool, but understandable accent, but in fluent, understandable English.

Would you want Niko,Roman, Mallorie, LJ to return?
MrLanceVanceDance replied to Bulletproofboy's topic in GTA V
Yeah, I would like those characters to return in GTA V, but as mission bosses, allies and supporting characters. However, I WOULD NOT want to play as one of them. It is more fun to play with a new character rather than an old one. -
I don't mind if a GTA game has GTA IV Era realism, but a GTA game CANNOT have too much realism, or it completely ruins the game and potentially the series. So basically, I am against the idea of indicator lights and a fuel tank, although I find nothing wrong with a speedometer. However, on the bright side of things, I agree with and like your idea of including bus terminals and having a working bus system for you to ride, as well as taxi driver side missions and a taxi hailing terminal.

If there is a GTA SA Part II, it should explain what happened to CJ and the crew after the events of the Los Santos Riots. It should also explain several key questions like "how was Brain Johnson killed" etc. The first half should answer the unanswered questions, while the second half should portray San Andreas after the LS Riots, and tell us what happened. The Introduction DVD wasn't enough to answer all, or even most of, our questions about the characters.

Who Else Thinks the Next Grand Theft Auto Should be In Texas?
MrLanceVanceDance replied to OklahomaCityKidd's topic in GTA V
There's nothing bigger than Texas! (Not including Alaska). Sure, I find nothing wrong about Rockstar creating a GTA Game set in Texas. It's probably gonna be a great one, although I still prefer Vice City and/or Miami. Can't beat beautiful sunsets, beaches and mansions! -
The main character should be South American, Central American, African American or Russian.
-
GTA V should not contain sex scenes at all. It is just gonna give the series controversy, mass alterations (similar to the Hot Coffee controversy) and it will just tarnish the reputation of GTA and Rockstar Games. GTA V should be set in a modern day, completely remade Vice City. It should be larger than GTA IV Era Liberty City.

Those screens are definite fakes. We have seen the GTA V logo, at Grand Theft Wiki and in the GTA V trailer. The logo on those screens are not the right colouring, and neither do they match. Also, that guy looks too much like a disorted Niko. The blurriness is also what makes it look fake, as a real leak would be clear as crystal. The top screen looks exactly like the GTA VC opening card, except with "V" instead of "Vice City". As for the screens, it could be shooped; the IV-styled HUD looks like a giveaway as GTA5 may be significantly different from the previous game. It may not even follow the IV canon, too. Also, the bottom screen looks photoshopped.

Rockstar games have gave us a title. The title is "Grand Theft Auto V". Also, presuming that Rockstar releases Grand Theft Auto V in 2012 (this year), it would mean that Rockstar Games is already half-finished with GTA V. Also, GTA V will DEFINITELY be released on PC. PC is the most owned platform, and releasing GTA V on PC means more people can play it, so therefore more people will buy GTA V instead of consoles, and that means Rockstar will earn fans, reputation and money.

Analyst: GTA V Could Sell 25M In First Year
MrLanceVanceDance replied to MrGrandTheftAuto's topic in GTA V
Source? -
If GTA V was to be released in 2012, then that means that Rockstar has already obtained their voice actors and finalised the characters, since it is currently the year 2012 now.
-
It is said that GTA V will be released in 2012.
-
I doubt that those characters would actually make an appearance in GTA V. That might just be a red herring placed by Rockstar. Although I must admit, it would be a huge coincidence if those characters actually appeared in GTA V.

Rockstar registers new domains – the first hint at GTA V
MrLanceVanceDance replied to MattAstr's topic in GTA V
Those websites might hint towards the fact that interactive computers and the internet will return for GTA V. Anyway, that stuff is nice to know, and welcome to the forum MattAstr. It's good to see another Aussie join the party. -
GTA V should be set in a remade, modern day Vice City.

Guys, I don't think we need to wait long. According to some general chatter I have been hearing, GTA V will be released in 2012. Also, apparently COD 9, Halo 8, Medal of Honor 2 and Assassin's Creed III will also be released in 2012. At least we are getting good games to play before the world ends.

Seriously dude, get some glasses. There is a GTA V Wishlist at the top of the first page on the GTA V forums index. We don't need any more of this" what do you want in the next GTA" posts.
