I wasn't saying i didn't want terrain, i just didn't want a mountain range slap bang in the middle of my gaming area. However, I've changed my mind about that - i think of RTCW (Wolfenstein) when i think of mountains and gameplay. Just think how much stuff could go on on a mountain. Underground cavers, diamond/goldmines, WMDs, hidden caves, inuits dwellings, plenty of space for critturs, and you could even sledge down them if it snowed (or push ppl off the cliffs). Yea, would be fun - just not a mountain-oriented game.

How about converting the format to something on a smaller scale. GTA 1 and 2 only showed the cars, people and buildings, with a few crates here and there. The GTA 3 Trilogy gave you objects, some of which you could use. Maybe GTA 4 will let you use much smaller objects, for example televisions, computers, chairs, music players, clocks, light switches etc.

Pricewise, Sony officials said the PS3 should be less than 50,000 yen each!!! ...which is around $465 US dollars. Sony's pricing structure in the past guides us to the fact that the PlayStation 3 will sell in the UK for £350-£400. The XBox 360 however has been headlined to go for slightly cheaper - about $400 in the US and £300 in Europe. Not that M$ don't need to do anything to get it selling well, the pre-Christmas release and the release long before the PS3 (not in sight of the NinRev), the smaller price tag might swing next-gen buyers over to the XBox. However, if GTA4 does come out on the XBox 360 eight months after the PS3's release, then methinks that Microsoft begin to lose their edge. At least their controllers don't look like fridge door handles...

Refuelling is pointless, unless you could go to a garage and tune up your car to make it perform better in races or whatever. GTA4 won't be a launch title for the PS3 - thats certain. The Playstation Three is set for launch in under a year, and GTA4 probably hasn't even been started on yet, although I may be wrong on that, i doubt it. It will take probably three years from concept to release, knowing that they've got 26/53gig to fill. As I always say, they'll surprise us. I've noticed politicical missions or capabilities have been a strong theme in the various wishlists - corruption, bent coppers, a stronger presence of the FBI. All these are good, and we're actually tying to fit those into the GTA London mod. I don't think gangsta/bruvvas/ghetto worked very well in SA - I much preferred the more dignified mafia themes. Lets see if we can expand on that further, or even at a higher level (I'm thinking political parties, fraud or corruption). What kinda gangs would you guys want to see either included or revived?

Maybe Rockstar could incorporate Vice City, San Andreas, and Liberty City as expansion-pack type addons. They include the functionality to change your copy of Vice City to work with GTA4. That way its not being repetitive unless you particularly want it to be.

Even "GTA Liberty City" would have been better, unless the gameplay structure is absurdely story-related, rather than random fun gameplay-oriented. I dread to think what that could mean, but I'm still optimistic with Rockstar's track record and the PSP's hardware. Keep watching the sites (Rockstar's and TGP's for updates)
