  1. Steve Scott for me. I HATED Avery's missions, they just annoyed me SOO much. And Masta, we can easily translate 'kk' into 'okay okay', but even then the post didn't say anything useful.
  2. Ever consider that they put it in so that they didn't have to put any more cities in?
  3. Rather pointless, really. Post more sensibly, Masta.
  4. Hey everybody. Here is a roundup of The GTA Place Forum's new member warning system. If you flame, post spam, continually or inapropriately advertise, post off topic, double post, show disrespect towards staff, post pornography or in any other way break the rules outlined here, a moderator or administrator can increase your warning level, effectively giving you a star. If you continue to break the rules, the mods or admins can warn you again, apart from with more and more consequences if you do. Please take the warnings you receive, or you could be banned from the forums temporarily or even permanently. Any mod can issue these warnings or bans. Appeals can not be sought, because you broke the rules and that is that. Mods and admins will review your case without your persuasion - if you annoy staff to change your levels then you may find yourself party to another warning. Here is what each star that you gain means: 1 = Simple warning 2 = Warning and a mention in the staff forum 3 = 3 day ban 4 = 1 week ban (7 days) 5 = 1 month Ban (28 days) 6 = Permanent Ban In short, here at The GTA Place we like to keep the forums clean and promote a friendly atmosphere. If you commit such things to warrant a warning, i.e disrupting the friendliness or spamming/flaming etc. We will warn you. To make sure you aren't warned, read the Forum Rules --- One side effect of this change is that instead of your existing warnings being 10% each, they change to being 17% each. This may cause some confusion temporarily, but each 10% warning has changed to a single star as outlined above.
  5. I might as well ask for one: Theme: Black/grey/white maybe something a bit like this or if red/black fits better, like my current sig Text: Xenon / The GTA Place / Mod Size: 500x125 tyvm
  6. mvi, this topic is where you start a word with the letter at the end of the previous word, not the word association one. egg-nog
  7. no, we'll let that one past. Any chance of sayin whats good bout em? I think they all look/sound good, dont know how good a job the modders did tho
  8. meh, i could make a faceless comment like: "not at the same time, surely" but alas, no
  9. Problem is, the bigger and better the game, the longer we have to wait. I don't wanna have to wait five years for another GTA Game - three years is probably too much. Twice the size of San Andreas I think would be perfect. Hey I agree with Greeny, if you go into somebody's house, some of them could be useful (pickups, advice, hints) and some could just say - "eh, fook off". If someone walked into my house, i'd batter them, even if it WAS the postman. The citizens of [whatever] city should retaliate, like the 'improvement' in the car jacking. Citizens should also respect the law more.
  10. *caution - advertising ahead* We'll be releasing loads of mods on The GTA Place and GTA London. So check these regularly for mods. Most of the Vice City mods should be compatible or need tweaking.
  11. The thing with CJ, Vercetti and 'Fido' is that, although they are criminals (CJ not so much), we always feel that they are the good guys, and if something happens against our character, we feel sorry for them, as if they're being treated unfairly. I mean, why should we be locked up for 4 seconds and transported to the nearest police station six hours later when we've only killed thousands od people, incited racial hatred, and smashed up loads of cars? Its just not fair! Thats why I think the Vice City theme was better suited to that aspect, the cheery optimistic outlook seemed to work. The problem with Vice City is that it was too flat - not just in terrain - but if you played it for six months, you knew the game off by heart and you rule the roost. Whenever I play Vice now, I can do whatever I want and go wherever I want. I want to bring back the days where I thought "oo - whats that" or "omg - an FBI car - wow" or "where the f*ck am I?!?!". I'm getting sick of how familiar I am with it, and how much power I have there. In a future GTA game, I'd like to see the city being about the right size as the player. Liberty City was too big for him (the character couldn't conquer it) and Vice was too small (too easy). I haven't played SA in enough depth yet to say what thats like, but I still get the feeling that CJ would end up just being respected and feared by all, although the balance is better.
  12. Yea that could happen eventually, but the PS3 is less than a year away, and GTA4, well we don't know, could be 2 years could be five... *hopes not* Do you guys reckon it'll come out on XBox 360? The PS3 version would be soo much better than the 360 version, I'm not sure whether its worth bringing out. That would benefit Sony somewhat, as most gamers would buy the PS3 - most of the GTA gamers, all the PlayStation gamers, and probably some turned XBox players.
  13. Agh, this topic has been bumped soo many times @ eminem: i deleted your 2nd message. be more careful in future
  14. why?? I think eminem (the 'artist') sucks really. Some of his tunes are catchy, and well known, but I don't like them really (unlike my mother). He's way better than 50 cent anyway... eminem (the member) thats a good post keep em coming like that
  15. For time period, howsabout a logical progression through time. The game starts off in the stone age, then progresses through the civilisations, epochs, dynasties and reigns until up to or past the present day. Some silly games like age of empires do that. I dunno whether it would be good for GTA, but i think a chariot race around the circus maximus would be as fun as a medieval joust.
  16. skulls looks good, gj Bryzed. Not often you see people with skill around anymore - copies and templates seem to be rife.
  17. Yea i agree. I warned him and that included his constant double posting and the random posts. He's heading up for a suspension if he doesn't just play nicely. Eminem, just write longer coherent posts, and edit them instead of reposting, and you'll be fine.
  18. Why the hell do you call youself eminem if only some of his tracks are okay?
  19. lil' nine - don't post those cigars everywhere eminem - don't double post, we have warned you before. use the edit function
  20. You should post your entire desktop screenshot rather than just the wallpaper
