Blink 182 formed in 1992, in San Diego, as America was trying to buff up its punk revival. And there's only one particular song by them which i like, goes a little something like: i fucked your mooooom....

What is your favorite type of music
Gerard replied to Williams89's topic in Music, Film, TV & Sports
Scorch, there was no need to bump this topic twelve days, especially since its not important. Meh, its the main one in this subforum so i'll let it slide. As for music, well rap just sucks, and the nearest thing to anything decent is rock. -
Umm, no i dont. But you do, dont you (my personal big brother proxy)

MVIs Date of Birth: 14th July 89, which makes him nearly 16 subtract four from that....

The one thing i have a problem with in San Andreas is the vehicles. No love or care has gone into honing these to perfection - seems the designers have just whipped these out fifty to the dozen. I mean look at the Sunrise; its absolutely crap! Tell me, WHAT does that car, alongside the perennial, greenwood and all the crap cars like that, contribute to the game? All it means is that you have to wait longer for a half decent car to jack. Yes i can see that there is a lot to do, and a lot of vehicles to make, but seriously don't belch them out like that. Get in some better designers if they can't. Most of the modded vehicles now are better than most of the default SA vehicles. *has hissy fit*

Turn the radio volume to zero, that would keep him happy, but I'm one of the ppl that happened to love the VC radios (go vcpr - woo). SA radio doesnt seem quite as funny - heard it all before. Clever how they synchronise the news with your ingame progress. I've had SA a week now, and i have to say i quite enjoyed the gangsta theme. 'Woozie' has to be the best character, and i think if the next GTA centred around the mafia-style gangs like that it may be better. O'course the next format will be different, and maybe it wont involve doing random missions for some obscure gang leader, whilst you have a hidden agenda (esp with Jizzy's missions) The one thing i have a problem with in San Andreas is the vehicles. No love or care has gone into honing these to perfection - seems the designers have just whipped these out fifty to the dozen. I hope they improve on that for the next game - and i mean significantly.

Why not just get the PC version and mod it there as per usual. Yea i spose being able to mod a console version would be a bonus. Mind you, Rockstar might not allow that, because modding is the reason most people buy the PC versions of GTA, if you could do that all on the PS3, then they would only sell that version.

I wasn't implying the game would be ready in less than a year from now We'll keep getting more info on the game over the next year, and next summer we should end up with some graphical representation, if Rockstar get on with it. They can see this massive market, so why not keep us happy by feeding us red herrings and loose ends - Rockstar are great at that

I'm not sure whether having a computer with gaming capabilities is such a good idea, as the idea of having a dedicated gaming system has always been to pack in the punch for the running game only. Having thirty other OS processes in there as well is going to seriously reduce the speed. Of course both manufacturers have overcome this problem, with the XBox 360 most likely running their M$ OS on demand only, and the PS3's Linux being completely separate to the gaming. Both OSs will be heavily trimmed down, and the GUI won't be WIMP anyway. If they manage to fit a WIMP onto a games console, then salute them, but why the hell bother having it as a Playstation, why not just another VAIO? Mind you, the idea is to have this box being at the centre of your home, running everything from TV and Films, to Radio and Music, to Games and maybe a deeper computing system. Doubt MSN and M$ Word will run on your PS3 mind...

Well you wont get a chance, the XBox 360 will be release years before GTA4 (This winter as oppsed to 2007/8), unless you plan on waiting that long before buying either console... As for GTA4 Previews, they'll be few and far between for another year at least.

Agh, i cringe every time i hear this. Grand Theft Auto is not about rockets or space or flying cars or teleporters. Its about commondering cars, jacking jets, blowing up boats, and pummeling pedestrians. Why not just have a fast car, or a plane. Don't go over the top man, it would just spoil the variety cos everyone would want to have that car, and it would be boring. If you want to include rocket cars, you'll have to go the full way with lots of other cars, traffic, and a space-age city to go with it. But then thats not a GTA game.

Because chris is smexy. What makes is chris smexy?

That was a big bump above as well Future GTA won't work - the atmosphere wouldn't suit it. Although atmittedly flying around in hover cars would be fun, it isnt what Grand Theft Auto game is about. Flying cars, wheels suit me down to the ground (!). Better than walking anyway (!).

Dont worry WGE, we're onto it Well why not read them rather than skipping ahead? When you make a new post, if you scroll down it even lists the last posts for you - couldn't be simpler. An oil gauge is something else - it shows you the level of oil you have, usually only when the engine is off. A Petrol-Meter is just slang by those who cant be bothered to think of the real words. The real term is 'fuel guage' or 'fuel level meter thing'

Put save games in the "GTA3 User Files" folder in my documents. Just start up the game and it should work, unless you're using a cracked (no cd) copy.

Yea I think if everything was simply availible through one interface (ie TGP) then that raises the use of that site. More people go to TGP than SAM, and i don't see the point of making someone skip from hither to thither. If i want a mod, i want to go to my fave GTA site (was always Codename) click downloads, click the category, and bingo there it was. I don't want to have to go to a special subsite and browse through different places. I think having it all in one downloads database is better, as different browsing options and simpler administration cover it. Also, integration with the forums, although manual, is another good idea. I say scrap SAM, and work on the current system, or rebuild it.
