He said he would link you to the forum, so that would imply it already exists. Considering you didn't mention what the forum was about, it doesn't look good. You just want any staff to help out? Surely if it is a GTA forum you need staff who are interested in GTA, same with everything else. You'd be better off staying here and improving this one than starting a tiny empty one of your own. How? Just post lots of useful stuff (without spamming), help people by answering questions and write content for the main site. I should point out that you aren't allowed to link to invisionfree forums or any shitty free sites like that. And try not to spam links everywhere - keep it in your signature.

There are hundreds of topics in here about this. You should look before you make a new topic because this question has been answered already lots of times. Mods may not be approved for a very long time, because hundreds are submitted and the staff have limited amounts of time to check them all out. This may not be an ideal set of circumstances, but it is how it is. No more complaining.

Coca-Cola is what I'll buy day-to-day, but I do occasionally have Pepsi or Dr Pepper (or Tango, or Sprite) just for a change in scenery. Doesn't matter at all which companies make them - just because I like one product made by Apple doesn't mean I like the company or all their products. And yeah we never see Dew over here
-
There have been loads of mods trying to do this. I wasn't aware of any of them being totally completed, but I know they got quite far. All under names like "Liberty City in San Andreas" (LCSA) or whatever.

Yeah I just never understood it before, never looked at it that way. In my mind it had always been guys=hot girls=not. Every time I see a guy my age I try and sum them up and decide whether I like them or not - it isn't a conscious thing most of the time but that's just how I see the world. Girls just don't come into the equation at all. With my mate, he's just interested in specific traits which he likes in people. Admittedly they're mostly in women, but that doesn't mean he couldn't ever like a guy in a similar way - gender isn't the issue, attractiveness is. Although for me, gender is part of the attraction. In fact I even enjoy being gay, although it can get a bit annoying to explain repeatedly (and to hide it when you need to), it's still fun being a bit quirky and dangerous. I kinda like that "sexual" description - it implies we just like the people who we like. It just so happens that for most people, pretty much all the people they 'like' are of the opposite gender, which makes that the easiest way to categorise it. Opposite gender = normal, right. Same gender = unusual, wrong. If you didn't classify it like that, how else would you? You could say you like blondes, or Africans, or geeks or whatever, and that doesn't bring gender into the equation. I think just because most people are overwhelmingly heterosexual that makes it the simplest way to describe it.. unless that isn't what matters to you.

I need instructions for the downgrader.
Gerard replied to Do_Not_Fear_cause_I'm_here's topic in GTASA Modding
There are plenty of step-by-step tutorials, and the SA Modding Guide is more than adequate to explain how to install mods. Don't double post, don't spam. Topic closed. -
Weird that it occurred immediately after the upgrade, when my browser and stuff hasn't changed. Only happens in one or two topics for me, like the get new post link on the DS active topic repeatedly takes me to p203. On checking it now, that topic works as it should. I had previously tried marking all posts as read, marking forum as read, viewing every page in the topic etc. Might be that cookie structure changed slightly over upgrade or something? Everything seems to work for me now so let us know if anyone has any more problems.

I'm too scared to downgrade my V2 to V1!
Gerard replied to Do_Not_Fear_cause_I'm_here's topic in GTASA Modding
If you have v2 of San Andreas you can't install mods. You need to downgrade to v1 to be able to mod the game. In reply to the original question: Downgrading will not mess up your Computer. You might still manage to do that yourself, but that will be nothing to do with downgrading. Downgrading will only affect your installation of San Andreas. If you break it, you can just reinstall it. It will not affect your disk, so it will not ever break it altogether. -
Whats that got to do with anything? Yes VCMM is easier but most car mods don't come in VCMM format, so you have to do it manually whether you like it or not. Yes. There are a couple of ways you can do this. If you copy the Rhino's DFF and TXDs and Handling line and Collision files (the tank) and put them in as the Sabre Turbo - making sure you replace the Sabre Turbo and not just add it on top, then the Sabre Turbo would appear as the tank. Although it would still say "Sabre Turbo" unless you changed the language file, and it would still sound like a Sabre Turbo when you drive it unless you changed the audio files. If you just copied the DFF and TXDs it would take the shape of the tank, but there would be a few things wrong. For example, it might be too high or too low off the ground, it might have the wrong wheels, it would still drive like the sabre turbo, and if you crashed into something it still thinks theres a Sabre Turbo there, so your footprint (shadow on the ground, and the physical area that you can crash into) is the shape of a sabre.

He wants to ADD cars, as in mod them. Not get into them. The best place to look is the How to install a car mod topic. That has a big step by step tutorial. The easiest way to do it is to find a VCMM mod, then you can just install that quickly and automatically. But any other mod has to be installed manually, which can be tricky. Read through that topic.

This gang system was made by Chris exclusively for The GTA Place. It is not available to download and it is not for sale.
-
Thanks for explaining yourself - that's cleared it up. Reminded me of this photo of Chris:
-
Yeah that's been happening since the upgrade last week. Chris might sort it out.
-
No he's saying Chris (site owner) should get more people to help approve mods - he does it all himself and it can/will take weeks. Best be patient.
-
The GTA Place has been upgraded to IPB 2.3.2, and this has reverted a couple of skin customisations we have, including the link to the gang system. These can be fixed quickly (by Chris). In the meantime, you can access the gang system through this link: GANGS

Ah but there's a problem. A few hundred years ago, if some king or whatever wanted some more land, he could just send a small army out and take it. Not many people would even find out, never mind care. Nowadays, if (for example) Iran wanted to take over Iraq or something, the entire world would know about it and a hell of a lot more people would die, not just the leaders or people who resisted. You can't just take what you want anymore. I don't think diplomacy can help that. They're targeting Iran because that is a country very much likely to use them against the US, possibly without much provocation. Iran supports Al Qaeda, Iran supports the idea of making the entire world muslim, Iran thinks western democracy is stupid and deserves to be gotten rid of. It isn't countries like the UK or France that the States are scared of, because we're quite well behaved and aren't likely to turn round one day and bomb DC. Iran probably will, and with Russie supporting it The UK will side with America for three reasons. One is to keep the USA on our side, so that if we get bombed, you yanks come and save us. Another is to actually protect Christianity and democracy, which are the two things powers like Iran are trying to get rid of. The third is that we want to be on the winning side, and America has the best biggest military with the latest technology.

WWIII has been predicted ever since WWII was finished. There have been a billion apocalyptic films and books since then. Thing is, we're not really likely to have a war on the same scale again. A couple of hundred years ago wars were fought in a field at a prearranged time for a battle. At the time of WWI, technology had advanced enough for armies to be deployed anywhere pretty quickly, and of course they could bomb each others countries instead, turning the entire world into a potential battlefield. It was actually these possibilities that forced many technological advances, particularly in aircraft. So in WWII, any country could bomb another nearby country without much warning. Nowadays our technology is so advanced that the richer countries (especially US, UK, Russia) could bomb any country in the world within an hour. Our missile systems and orbital weapons can do this without causing any immediate risk of home losses. Surely this would a war really easy? Just sit in the white house pressing a few buttons and wiping a few nations off the map. Not so, because there happen to be a few other countries with similarly large technology. Think about it - the second Bush launched a missile at Russia, they would detect it. It would be recognised as an obvious act of aggression and a big threat, and they could launch their own missiles before the American one got close. Within ten minutes of Bush's go-ahead you have two countries and two missiles pointing at each other. If these were big missiles, they could annihilate a few states each. Yes this is entirely realistic, not exaggerated. Why would anybody risk doing that? No country would launch a war unless they know someone else is trying to wipe them out, because the effects would be devastating. In cavalry field battles, you risk a regiment or two at most. In an air raid in the blitz you risk a squadron of planes, and a few cities might get blitzed. In a nuclear war, you risk your half of the planet. Nobody is that stupid. Why do you think the Cold War was cold? Because total annihilation is just too big a risk for anybody to take.

Topic unlocked because creator explained they are not asking for where to illegally download GTA SA. As everybody has said, that something totally illegal and we will not let you do it, and certainly not be a part of it. To the other members: There is absolutely NO need to be rude to somebody and call them a "n00b" and tell them to "leave now" just because you think they might be asking a forbidden question. If there has been a breach of the rules, report the post and a moderator will deal with it. Quoting and explaining the rules is great, but no need to be an idiot about it. As said above, most shops still stock GTA SA. Since you want MTA, you obviously want the PC version? You might find it in the 2nd hand/used/preowned section of the shop if it isn't anywhere else.

One of my mates (who describes himself as "slightly bi") has kinda explained to me bisexuality, which is something I've never really understood. To me, guys are great, and in pretty much everything that separates guys from girls, I prefer the guys version. However with bisexuality, how can you like both opposite things? He explained to me that the things he likes in a person can be found in either men or women, and the gender isn't that important a factor. Whereas all the things I like are definitely masculine. Weird, but good that I can understand that now.

If you're asking about a motherboard, I have one answer. Gigabyte.

Forgot to check for replies - thanks. It has always been a problem, first noticed it doing that mission in San Fierro where you have the boat chase at the docks - I could NEVER get round the corner towards the Gant bridge without this totally crashing. Funny colours are where the entire game seizes up and the light bits glow. If I go into the menu it works, but if I Escape out of that it just shows the menu but glowing and wont let me do anything. I'll grab a screeny soon. It is definitely a problem with the disk since it affects every install on every PC I've used, and its not the drive. Disk isn't dirty because it hasnt come/gone over time. but it can't be a problem like a big scratch because then the game would fail to install or run. Must be a tiny problem with just a couple of bytes that f*ck up.

LGBT = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender = A word describing all types of non-straight people LGBT society = all the LGBT people do stuff together, like going clubbing
-
We have virgin media too. 4mb cable with TV and phone for £27, which is between 3 of us. Isn't too bad - the TV's on-demand service is pretty cool - although the internet speeds can vary quite a lot.
-
Girls? Have you been following anything in this entire topic? SPOILER: If you don't know what you're talking about then don't say anything, k? Lurk moar.

Wow how unusual. Tell me more. /notI've joined our Uni's LGBT society, so we'll be going clubbing every now and then which will be awesome. Oh and btw... Plans to outlaw inciting gay hate
