Which is worse: being alone or showing yourself up asking out members of the same sex?
-
I didn't say I took it personally. I said it pisses me off - I don't like that way of talking. Homophobia = hating people because they're gay More accurately, its a general prejudice against gay people being gay, and the associated fears
-
People who say "that is sooo gay"

Nearly 4000 posts of random? Impressive... I think.. Free money for whoever stops Jace getting 4000th

He didn't say he had no sound at all because he didnt have a play disk - don't be so presumptuous. Did you mean you have NO sound, or that character's voices don't work?

Yes, there's a problem even I can't solve Whenever I drive a boat in GTASA, my game crashes. I can drive it for a while, sometimes quite a long time, but suddenly everything stops, goes funny colours and I can't do anything except use the main menu. This is nothing to do with mods, as it occurs every time I install my copy of GTASA, and occurs whether or not I use mods. Any ideas?

The DFF file is the model itself and the TXD is the textures on it. They are both required to be in the gta3.img archive for the vehicle to work, and they both need the vehicles internal name (like blistac or whatever, don't rename it "ferrari")
-
You have to replace both the DFF and TXD files with the same name in gta3.img, and depending on the vehicle you usually have to make some code adjustments as specified in the Readme file. If you had done something wrong in gta3.img, the game would never have loaded, or it would crash when it tried to spawn the car. By not spawning it at all, that means it is struggling to make it exist. I had a similar problem recently, and that was caused by me not having the right line in vehicles.ide for that vehicle.

You mean not in your start menu? The startup folder is what starts up when you turn on your PC. Its not listed because Notepad does exactly the same stuff, but even better because it doesn't require using CMD. XP comes with Wordpad too, and of course Works and Word and everything else far surpass it. No point in using it unless you can't use anything else.

Just type "edit" into the command line (start, run, cmd) and you get it up.

Grades are A, B, C, D and E. A and B are the best, C and D are still good, E isn't that good. If you do any worse than an E, you get a U (Unclassified, means no grade).

Grades General Studies = B Computing = C Geography = D Psychology = E Maths = e (at AS) And Chris (who is on holiday) checked his application on Track, and he got in as well - to the same university as me. So that's great.

Today is A-Level results day. I haven't been to get them yet, but I took a look on Track and saw: Welcome Gerard, The current status of your Application is: Congratulations! Your place at Staffordshire University (S72) to study Computing Science: Computer Security (G416) has been confirmed. Which means i got in I'll let you all know what my exact results are later today...

The thing that shocked my mum was that it was out of the blue - she never even suspected it for a second, so it was a big shock. Drop hints... I know someone that did that until their parents asked them. His parents discussed it with each other before asking him, so they were prepared for it. If you're macho, just make it clear that you're going to stay the same - its not as if you have decided that you're going to be gay from now on. If you're more effeminate, then it won't be much of a shock for them anyway.

Oh dear, please don't play that one. It makes you sound 10 years old. Incorporating the old cities into SA is certainly not a new idea, it has been attempted dozens of times before, and suggested hundreds of times. If you want to make a new game, make a new game. You need an original idea for a start, then you need to work it into an interesting storyline, and then you need the skills, time and money to actually make it. Most people make mods for GTA, a game is something totally different.

GGMM is just as quick to install a DFF and TXD into gta3.img as using IMG tool is, and its less risky to use GGMM IMO, and it can very simply be used to replace other details as well, such as config (not collision though). You don't have to rebuild archive for IMG Tool, that's just if you're adding/removing stuff without replacing.
-
I've played it.. its seriously creepy and in a unique first person view, where the camera is in the face and you can actually look down at the entire body and stuff, not just seeing a gun stuck out the side. Not my favourite.
-
Using GGMM is simpler than doing it manually (editing gta3.img and all the config files). It is still a manual install because he picks the DFF and TXD and puts the lines of code for handling etc into a box, but he doesn't have to go round doing it himself. Not sure if the DMagic1 wheel mod would even play a part in this?
-
I think that would be caused by you not having changed the relevant line in vehicles.ide with what is in the readme - that controls things like wheels.
-
That I/O Error is probably caused by gta3.img being read only. Find it, right click on it, properties, untick "read only" and try again. That might be the same problem with player.img - but make sure you're replacing the right TXD/DFF files, and you are replacing them instead of just adding new ones.

I disagree. For a start, he's wearing an Africa-shaped pendant, and Jamaica isn't in Africa. Neither is any of the Caribbean. Secondly, the flag on his bent is not Jamaican. This is the Jamaican flag (right). The one on his belt is probably an Ethiopian flag like below (which is in Africa), but it could be an upside down Ghana flag, a sideways Guinea flag, a sideways Mali flag, an upside down Bolivia flag etc They only added the blue star recently, so the green/yellow/red stripes are normal

You must have replaced the wrong outfit. I don't know which one is which or what they're called inside player.img The first thing you should do is try to figure out which outfit you actually replaced. Go to a wardrobe and try all the special outfits (eg cop, paramedic, gimp). If you haven't unlocked them all yet, use a 100% completed save game. Or you could just look up all the other clothing cheats, but there isn't one for every single outfit. The Gimp Suit is what you got when you typed that cheat, see if you can replace that instead/as well. If you can't figure out which one that is, maybe download a mod made to replace the Gimp suit and see what that one is meant to replace. Once you know, you can follow the same procedure, just replacing the other txd file. I'm not 100% this will work (the gimp suit might use a TXD with different things in it) so make sure you back up first.

I think he means he found/download a plane model and wants somebody to turn it into a GTA SA mod...
-
Of course he installed it correctly as far as he knows, otherwise he would know what the problem is. We have to guess what he might have done wrong, such as added stuff into gta3.img instead of replacing existing files. His PC won't make much difference unless its really old and incapable of running San Andreas at all, in which case modding wouldn't make any difference.

You are replacing one TXD file inside player.img with another. So you file|open player.img, then you find the one in the list that you want to replace, then you right-click|replace with the new one.
