    Sig Rules

Kinda why I posted that second image - we could modify the rules to say 700px width max, but not more than 100,000px area (which is 500x200)
  2. Gerard happens to be my first name. Before that, Xenon was a pseudonym I used for everything.

    Sig Rules

Jared told Silberio it was fine vertically, which it is. Horizontally it breaks the rules.

It isn't a technical necessity that they cannot be 501px - it is common sense that it is not too big. 500x200 is a guideline limit for staff, signatures which exceed that will be dealt with. Silberio, your sig is 700px wide, which is over the limits - same for you Jace, although one of your images doesn't work (that would make it 1050px wide) As a guideline, the following image is exactly 500x200px in size. This represents the maximum size we allow for signatures. If your signature is bigger than this in either dimension, please change it. If it is almost the same, then it is fine. This is a wider image, 700x200px - we do not allow signatures this size.

Sigs around that size are fine - its unnecessarily large ones that we don't like. You could have two userbars on each row, that may be better.
  6. He voted that a few days before it was confirmed to be in LC - the trailer came out on 29th May This'll stay open until all the questions have been answered, and even then people can comment on the results of the poll.
  7. True, but then again you could say that Christmas is weird to celebrate because Jesus Christ isn't born every year, they say it happened a long time ago. Same thing with Easter, Thanksgiving, etc... What about birthdays? You aren't born every year, its just another calendar year since you were born.
  8. No chance. Email them again. Telephone them perhaps. Or, y'know... buy it? Topic closed.
  9. I used to play the drums, but I recently took up the bass guitar instead. I couldn't really fit a drum kit into my dorm room @ uni, so I downsized, and I'm loving it. I play a bit of piano too, but only to amuse myself when I'm left in a room with a piano unsupervised.

Yeah we caught it. Thanks. It's not worthy of a ban, but because its deliberately breaking the rules to piss off staff it is a formal warning, a ban from using signatures in the future, and we'll keep an eye on him. If he continues to abuse his privileges as a member, he will lose them.
  11. Fancy giving us a link to the other topic?
  12. Don't dance..? The GTA SA Admin Console is the old version - the much better one (which I use) is the GTA SA Control Center. Try that.
  13. Increasing your draw distance will mean that it tries to draw a lot more than it can, so it loads everything a little bit slower. Turn your draw distance down (to about a quarter or something) and see if that helps.
  14. If your game still freezes after restoring a backup, it means you did something wrong along the way - that freeze means that there's something wrong with SA's files and it can't figure out how to work. You might have added a dff or txd file to gta3.img without removing the old one; you might have added a line to handling/vehicles.ide/carcols/carmods without replacing the old one, you might have missed a number off the end of one of those lines (obviously its different files for weapons). Check all these by installing the weapon mod all over again, and you should be able to see where you went wrong. If your backups of the config files don't help, then the problem will probably be in the IMG file (since you can't backup the entire thing). Make sure you're backing up from just before you installed that weapon mod, so that all the data from the other mods you installed is still there. If you really can't get it to work, perhaps ask someone else for a backup of some of the files. If that doesn't work, as you say, you'll probably need to install SA again. If your IMG file and config files don't work, then there's not really anything you can do to save them (if you put them on your new game, then they still wouldn't work).
  15. If San Andreas won't load after you've installed a mod, it probably means you have version 2 of San Andreas (if you bought the game within the past year or two, then you definitely will) - so you need to downgrade. If that is not the problem, it means you didn't do it properly. Make sure that you replaced the txd and dff files instead of just adding new ones. Make sure you got the handling.cfg and vehicles.ide config lines replaced properly (again, don't add new ones, replace the old ones). If you can't get it to work, uninstall the mod (put it back to how it was before you added it) by putting the backups that you should have made back. If you didn't make any backups, you could ask here (in a new topic) and someone might be kind enough to give you their copy. If that doesn't work, then you may have to re-install the game. You install skin mods pretty much the same way as cars, except instead of models/gta3.img it is in models/player.img - the name of the txd file is the name of the txd file you need to replace, but the readme that comes with the mod should tell you what you need to do.
  16. Does Niko say "I guarantee that you will find this man" or "I guarantee that we will find this man" - it doesn't make sense to me how you could guarantee to someone what they would do (although you could enforce it, you wouldn't say it like that), but it does sound like "you". 17. What? There's nothing wrong with it? You just misread it as two warnings, its just one. The rep system is a mod made by Chris... it does exactly what he wants it to do. It works perfectly, there is no problem (apart from the green blocks don't show up under your name at the moment) Topic closed.
  18. You need to install them, which can be quite tricky. This question does not go here (this is for questions about the forum) - we have an entire subforum dedicated to San Andreas Modding. If you have any more questions about modifying SA, ask them there. Read the San Andreas Modding Guide for information on how to do it. Topic closed.
  19. Ah I see what you mean - that is only one horizontal record with a note, not a warning and a note.
  20. It seems some of you are incapable of carrying on a normal conversation without swearing and insulting each other. Topic closed, pending further investigation.
  21. In case you didnt know, our warning system works both ways - good and bad. You get warned for bad things, and you gain reputation for good things - they are both shown in your Rep log. Notice how it says "Added to reputation" and "Reputation Points Awarded: 1" - those show that this is a positive warning. Not a bad thing. Not a glitch.
  22. Yes it does - its a positive one though, not a bad one.
  23. Your rep log shows only positive rep - thats a good thing - not a warning
  24. There were fingers in Vice City Stories, but they were really noticeable in cutscenes. Anyway, it was better than the 1st trailer, definitely. It seems the Stallion, Sabre, and motorcycles are back too. Fine - howabout "real hands for the first time" since it will be the first time they've been used to this extent?
