GTA III only took place in Liberty City and when it came out we all had a hardon for it. Before GTA III, GTA games had an overhead view. It was because GTA III was built on a brand new 3d, 3rd person, down-on-the-ground concept and Rockstar decided to start small and not make a huge immense land like San Andreas that was smart, they wanted to make sure people would like it. After GTA III sold many copies and became the best game of 2001/2002 it went on to creating Vice City, which had the same formula and added a lot of new stuff, then in 2004, they made San Andreas, which had alot more stuff than GTA III and Vice City combined. Just wait until they make the sequel/prequel of GTA IV, which without a doubt they will.

Niko Bellic would look really cool in a Soviet Officer's outfit, they should put in an unlockable Soviet military outfit in the game that you would get after doing missions for someone like an ex-Soviet colonel or something. Oh yea, and Niko kinda reminds me of the revolutionary you play as in the game "Republic: The Revolution" except the facial hair is a little different (the Revolutionary has more of a Van Dyke beard)

Yes, more Pickup trucks please! There should be the Bobcat, the Cruiser, the Saddler, the Walton and a newer contemporary model Walton and the monster truck. The Crusiers availiable from regular pedestrians and not just from Cartel men. They would be the crew-cab version of Bobcats (larger Bobcats that would carry 4 people) and you should be able to have fellow gang members sit on the bed and shoot from the bed of pick-ups.

I hope they can think of funny phrases for the Russkie to say. Some of the things CJ and Tommy Vercetti say crack me up (especially when they get busted by cops) Perhaps there would be instances where the new guy would curse in Russian.

They should have a radio station for: 1. Hip-hop/rap (Playback, Liberty Jam, Radio LS) 2. Techno/old school rap (Wildstyle, Rise) 3. Oldies (K-DST) 4. 80's (Flashback on III, Wave) 5. Jazz, preferable smooth jazz (somewhat like Master Sounds, but more contemporary) 6. Classical (Double Clef) 7. Asian music (Somewhat like Radio Del Mundo, but more far-eastern Chinese and Japanese music and less Middle-Eastern/South Asian) 8. Latin Music (Esparanto) 9. Soul/Funk/Disco (Bounce, Fever, Flashback on LCS) 10. News, Talk and Sports. (The news broadcasted will change as you progress through the game and commit big crimes from missions like it does on SA) With more disk space and seeing how they probably won't use a large land like they did in SA, they could try to add 10 radio stations!

Well, I was kinda hoping for an Asian guy but a Russian guy is good enough, I'm glad that it isn't another Italian, Tommy Vercetti and Toni Cipriani were both badass, but Italian and Italian-mob themes are starting to get a little old. I wonder if the Red Mafia are going to claim a niche in Liberty city and perhaps drive the big-three mobs (The Leoni Family Mafia, Yakuza and the Columbian Cartel) out of city.

From what I saw on the trailer I think GTA IV will take place in Liberty City

I'd like it to take place in the Midwestern part of the US (with cities like St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas) plus medium sized state capitals and plenty of small towns in the way between major cities. If we were to go foreign, I wouldn't mind a GTA that took place in Central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Neitherlands) or Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan)

They should add real weapons (like the ones on the list above, and don't stinger launchers) plus a few fictitious weapons, like a Tesla cannon (blame my C&C fanship for this ), laser rifle, or EMP grenades.

I hope they don't use Liberty City again, unless if Liberty City is going to be on a gigantic map (like the one Wu-Zi-Mu has shown us on the other thread) then I wouldn't mind LC. If the guys over at rockstar are going to make that giant map (with Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas, Snowy Mountain, Falkenberg, DC) then I definately want to play it. They're also going to have to make different radio stations for each landmass. I wouldn't mind a place outside of the US so long as it isn't Britain, I want places like Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Neitherlands or China/Japan/Korea/Taiwan.

That map makes me wish that map is the real deal. I'd love to cruise around snowy mountains and stop by and explore small towns in the mountain areas. Maybe a few of those mountains will dwarf Mt. Chilliad.

I'm tired of the 70s/80s, It should take place in the present or near-future.

They should have paramilitary force kinda like the Brotherhood of Nod from the C&C series. The members would wear tan or olive (depending on terrain) colored fatigues, berets or spiked helmuts and combat boots. They would also drive around in Patriot Hum-vees, Barracks heavy duty trucks, and Sanchez dirt bikes and armed with Desert eagles, MP5s, M4s and on missions, grenades and rocket launchers and they will sometimes drive around in Rhinos and fly around in Cargobob and Hunter Helis. I doubt they would be in the next gang, but I wish a gang like that would exist.

I'm glad they are not like those erroneous "GTA IV" screens from the other threat. After looking at them, I was like....W...T....F, I could easily tell they were from Scarface, I have the game.

If GTA IV is going to be based in any European country, it should be Germany. Germany has cities that are unique from one another just as the three cities off of SA were much different from eachother, also you have the autobahn and a beautiful countryside and hilly/mountainous areas in Southern Germany (which would make a good place for dirt biking and off-roading.) Germany is the only European setting I would like. Britain is too boring in my opinion and besides, Germany or perhaps all of central Europe (Germany, Neitherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Poland) would be something new.

There should also be a shop where you can mod motorcycles where you can add some nitrous to them, change their covering, paint them, add decals, add new and more powerful engines, make a customized Freestyle or Angel like you could do with HDs in real life. The Car mod places in San Andreas were a good start.

They are definately going to make a GTA4 for the PC. I believe that the PC version of San Andreas, Vice City and III sold better than the console versions because you could add mods to the PC and download the online free-for-all and the PC is convinient to most people. But i'm sure with the PS3's internet compatibility, you could probably download mods for GTA4 or play online. They've really got to get GTA online. I just loved the Survivor Deathmatches on the PSP GTAs!

I'm a little tired of the 80s!!! -Keep the swimming ability but it should be limited like in GTA: VCS, people who don't like swimming don't realize how much of a life saver the swimming ability is, what if your boat or jet ski catches on fire? huh? -More Pick-up truck like cars, make non-cartel versions of the Cruiser (sorry, but I like pickup trucks and the Cartel Cruiser is my favorite gang car of all!) -Better hand to hand fighting (perhaps have a fighting mode similar to True Crime), stronger and realistically minded peds (don't make muscular men run away in fear while old people stay and fight you when they are provoked) -When you die or get busted, you should be able to pay a bribe to get your weapons back (like in GTA: VCS) it beats having to reload my save file every time shit happens to me. -No girlfriend, they didn't make sense, except when you're talking about people like Maria, Asuka, Catalina, Mercedes, Candy, Toshiko and Louise, they actually made sense to the game and gave you missions. But there shouldn't be any dating. -I actually like gang wars, but they should make gangsters more intellegent instead of retards that try to walk through buildings. The gang wars in GTA: VCS were pretty entertaining. -The matter of customizing your own gang!

Why would you want to take out swimming?! I really, really appreciated the Swimming feature in San Andreas, however it made the game too easy, I will agree. I say that GTA IV should have a limited Swimming feature just like Vice City stories, The Swimming would act as a life saver or a way to get on a boat or jetski but you wouldn't have the ability to swim from one island to another

Another thing that people wouldn't agree with me on: I would actually like to have gang wars with greater management and customization of your own gangs like choosing their weapons (start out with knives and baseball bats or arm them with M4s and SPAS shotguns, etc), uniform clothes (tall-Ts and doo-rags or fancy trousers and blazers with ties, etc) and even their vehicles (bicycles and Clovers or Sentinal XS and Patriotis, etc). If they added that, I would make a paramilitary force armed with M4s, .357 Pythons, and MP5s, they would wear spiked helmets and wear German style WWI/WWII fatigues and they would drive Barracks trucks, Sanchez dirt bikes and Patriots.

Actually, I wouldn't a place like Mexico city, Houston, Phoenix and US/Mexican border as much as London. Any place but a European city except for Baghdad or Kabul is fine.

I don't think GTA 4 needs top of the line graphics, but the graphics should be decently good so I can enjoy the city views. GTA games are not only about missions, free roam, things to do, but it's also about enjoying your surroundings. I like to have a fun and long GTA game, but I also like to enjoy the city scape as well.
