Firstly, I'm extremely interested in World War II, so I have a handful of war films that are among my favourites. By year: * Das Boot (1981) - Specifically, the Director's Cut, in German. * Stalingrad (1993) - Well-made German film covering the titular battle. * The Thin Red Line (1998) - The thinking man's Saving Private Ryan. * Downfall (Der Untergang) (2004) - Excellent drama now sullied by the Hitler subtitles meme that mocks Bruno Ganz' extraordinary performance. * Inglourious Basterds (2009) - Hans Landa. That is all. Related, The Pianist is an excellent Holocaust drama. Adrien Brody is fantastic. More generally, these sit among my preferred films: * The King's Speech - Colin Firth was amazing. I saw it twice; I cried twice. I admit it. * Goodfellas * Casino * Scarface * The Lord of the Rings trilogy I enjoy both Tim Burton's and Christopher Nolan's takes on Batman. My wannabe-Gothic side enjoys The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands, naturally. And there you have it.

Can't say for certain if I've ever been outright banned from anywhere. During my first exposure to online communities throughout 2003 and into 2004, my total lack of social awareness certainly sullied my reputation; my first few months at a popular James Bond forum starting from May 2003 produced some howlingly stupid, mind-numbingly immature posts on my part. I wouldn't think it made me any enemies per se, but it certainly vexed a few people who, quite rightfully, took a rather condescending view of my antics and viewed me as 'special'. I don't blame them. Same goes for some other forums I joined around that time. The only place I can remember being suspended from isn't a forum, but FanFiction.Net. My first story there was an eye-gougingly awful plagiarism of Die Another Day that was rightfully panned by one reviewer. Eventually, it was reported around, I think, May/June 2003, and I was barred for a week or two; it's somewhat hazy. Being an arrogant, unworldly 13-year-old who was naturally under the impression that his work was the best thing ever written, it hit me so hard I sulked like the little bitch I was for about 30 minutes. From December 2004, I was active over at the now-defunct GTA Domain forums. My online awareness had improved somewhat by then, so I got along fairly well with the community and was most active with their Custom Missions section. Then, in September 2006, I slipped into a depression at my academic circumstances and began a long, dreadful spiral into the world of naive, fanatical anti-Americanism. That forum being majority American, it pissed quite a lot of people off to say the least, and permanently killed my two years of hard-earned member-awarded Respect. It continued through half of 2007 (tact became an alien concept), and I left. I got better, and am mortally ashamed of that period of my life. I returned to make one post in November 2008 to congratulate Obama on his election victory, and was immediately bluntly told to fuck off. I obeyed. I don't recall ever being officially banned. So, I've never been banned per se; I've just been a blithering idiot.

Since I purchased it in June, my Slim PS3 has overwhelmingly been my platform of choice. Haven't touched another console in months. I still have my PS2, and I still use my N64. Because that's retro now and thus cool.

I usually don't make a habit of touching these kinds of topics with a ten-mile pole, but I'll just say that I know the purple 'V' is fanart posted on deviantArt in 2009.

Just completed Batman: Arkham Asylum yesterday afternoon after shamefully ignoring it since July. A truly great game. For my generation, Mark Hamill will always have a place in our hearts as the Joker; Kevin Conroy is Batman. As of today, I had a brief session on The Ballad of Gay Tony. Rather entertaining.

I believe that is what is commonly referred to as an 'epic fail'. Then again, I can't complain or claim the moral high ground: I received GTAIII for my 12th birthday... I suppose these types of games are okay under adult supervision, keeping away from the more controversial or inappropriate things. I let my 11-year-old cousin play around on my copy of 'Just Cause 2' recently. I kept it strictly to vehicles and parachuting, nothing untoward. Well, aside from the little matter of dragging civilians along by the grappling hook from the back of a speeding car/plane and enjoying their hilarious screams and pleas for mercy...

When I first saw the trailer, I initially got excited that it was another trip to the glorious 80s and back to Vice City. When it became evident that it wasn't, I didn't mind, and just got more excited. The same goes for this; having the entire state would be a predictable move on Rockstar's part, and they thrive on being unpredictable. Indeed, the scaling back of the world is commendable: lessening the geographic scope allows for greater focus on story and characters, factors that, aside from all of the gloriously illegal mayhem, are the series' biggest draws (at least for me). I for one am looking forward to what that can pull off in this reimagined setting.

Ouch. Sounds like we've all had some pretty bad experiences here. You're not alone, friends... When I was four or five, my uncle left his house on a bike and latched the back gate behind him. So I stood on an elevated cobble step and tried to reach over to unlatch the lock. I forgot how I tripped. Blood. Tears. Agony. Stitches. Owwy. When I was eleven, I was screwing around by putting my hands into a wrapped pile of foam mats. I was wearing my glasses at the time. I was rocking back and forth. Bad idea. I slipped forward, with my hands in the mats unable to stop the fall. My glasses impacted on the ground, the steel digging into my forehead just above my right eyebrow. There was blood. Lots of it. And more stitches. Yay! The latter scar has been kindly indicated for you in this pic:

I know! I planned to stay up to see it, but I feel asleep at what must've been around eleven! BASTARD! (Chastises self) That only happens once every century...goddamn...well, I'll just cryogenically freeze myself and wait for 2106...

Have you gone complete and utter BONKERS???? The game is pratically ready for going gold, R* are probably at Alpha Stage right now - which is where they just add some spit and polish!!

that's a cool list. but i'd prefer to get stuff for every five packages collected - to make it easier. (then it would be like a normal 100 or something packages). nice idea, though.

the ragdoll physics, R* said, are meant to add "Gruesome realism" to the game.
