  1. I support the SNP myself. While I think their decision to release Megrahi was wrong, I still believe in the majority of their political beliefs. So I'm pretty much a nationalist.

I actually met Kenny MacAskill and got the chance to ask him a few questions. I asked what were his reasons for Scottish independence and he made some real good points. He lead on to say that Scotland does not have it's own voice any more as when the UK makes a decision on something it is not necessarily what Scotland wants but because they are under as part of the United Kingdom it is automatically assumed by most people outside of the UK that that is what Scotland believes in.

But besides my political views I think that there is a huge deficit in the democratic system of the UK. Isn't a representative democracy supposed to represent the views of the people? The fact that the UK is still using first-past-the-post alone is a reason to claim that the UK is not representing the people's views. I'm all for PR.

  2. I don't really think the hospitals are up to scratch, the employees are fine but the NHS hospitals are filthy. Every fortnight we get some sort of news report about a dirty hospital and how someone's been infected by it.

Exactly! Right now the UK has a quasi-privatisation of the NHS which I think is ridiculous as it leads to trying to be more cost efficient rather than focusing on the healthcare side. For example, money spent on cleaning may be reduced to save funds but then all that does is makes a hospital a more un-hygienic place which leads to the MRSA bug and possible infections.

  4. I know this is late and almost useless now but in my opinion I think it's best if we minimize the most knowledgeable GTA awards. Here are the current ones:

    Most Knowledgeable (GTA Portables):

    Most Knowledgeable (Classic GTAs):

    Most Knowledgeable (GTA 3 Era):

    Most Knowledgeable (GTA IV Era):

    Most Knowledgeable (Modifications):

By keeping the Classic GTAs award, the same person is likely to get it over and over and over as there is pretty much no activity there. While there is still activity in the GTA 3 Era section, you'll notice that once again the same people are nominated over again as the only way that you can claim they know the most about it is from how helpful they are in answering questions where people are stuck and need advice.

To be honest I think that we should only keep the most recent GTA Era in the forum awards as that is where all the activity is and as new titles are released we will start to see a change in who knows the most. The most knowledgeable modifications question can stay though as that applies to all era's.

Also after looking back at the old award nomination topics you'll find that a lot of people never even filled in those sections which makes me think that I'm not the only one who thinks that it's too hard to determine someone to be the most knowledgeable for a game.

  5. Yeah they are still losing money and it makes sense because the unit cost for a PS3 is still really high. However if you can push your software hard enough then it shouldn't matter as you'll be making a profit anyway. It's the only way they can sell more PS3's by reducing the price and it's worked tremendously for them so far. It's just something that Sony will have to keep in mind (and that they have) throughout the PS3's lifespan.

  6. I think it's time to tally up the results, not many voters unfortunately.

Best PS3 Exclusive: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Best 360 Exclusive: GTAIV DLC - The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony

Best Wii Exclusive: New Super Mario Bros.

Best PC Game: Left 4 Dead 2

Best Multi-Platform Game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Best Online Game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Overall Best Game of 2009: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Thanks to all the people who voted, hopefully next year we can get more votes by including a wider range of options. Feel free to discuss the results as I will be leaving this topic open for a wee bit longer.

  7. People have stripped apart the entire game's models and files on the PC version. That pretty much confirms that's there's no types of myth in San Andreas by it self.

And if you've been searching for 5 years, then either it doesn't exist or your just really shit lookers.

Just trying to prove a point, not trying to be rude.

  8. After being influenced a little bit by the TGTAP 2009 Awards topic, I thought why not have a TGTAP 2009 Game Awards topic?

The games listed above have been chosen as they have recieved the most public attention and they seem to be the most popular titles. Please note this is only for games which are currently out.

If your choice isn't on the list or you haven't played those titles, then please vote for what you think is the best game out of the list. Have fun voting!

  9. I don't like using 2nd accounts to get used to the game, I play it on my normal account and if my K/D ratio gets affected because of that? Oh well don't care. I don't like making my stats innacurate.

  10. Unfortunetaly the downloadable content for GTAIV such as The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are exclusive to the Xbox 360. I have the same problem as well as I own a PS3.

The first one is just 'GTAIV' which you buy in disc format from gaming shops.

There's a cheat for the 'FIB Buffalo' which is the FBI police car. If you want a list of all the cheats then you can find them in the link below.

  11. I never camp. Give me a sub-machine gun and I'll just run around running'n'gunning. Same when I use a Sniper, but I keep a little more distance.

Also Quick-Scopes are the way forward, No-Scopes are just chance.

  12. If you play as Carl Johnson, why would I make him a female?

You don't play as CJ, you play as the hobo.

This would be nicer to read if it wasn't all in caps lock.

So your character is a hobo? No thanks. Also I find it strange how CJ just let's your character tag along with him, I mean sure you just saved his life but I doubt CJ would just let some hobo come back to grove street with him.

How come after their houses are set on fire they go to mount chilliad for 6 months? I doubt CJ, Ryder etc would go hide like little girls, also why would they take the hobo with them?

Just doesn't seem like a potential story line to me.

  13. Aaaaaah! Oh my god I really want to play this! They have the Steyr Aug, the SA80 LSW (it has 100 round mag size in the game though which is dumb because it's acually fed from a 30 round magazine...). Such awesome guns, can't believe I'm missing out on it.
