Hey guys, I was on SpeedTest and I came across a new site that they've opened called PingTest. It gives you information on the quality of your:
- broadband internet connection
- streaming media performance
- voice and video applications performance
- online gaming performance
It determines this by 3 factors; your ping, jitter and packet loss. Once the test has completed it gives your connection a 'grade' on it's performance for all the factors I pointed out in the bullet-points.
Just thought I should mention it, I think it's good for people like me who want to know how good my connection will be for gaming etc.

I can't use it anyway because I'm at boarding school now and we aren't allowed tv's or monitors in our rooms. I might get a slim at Christmas though.

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath; it's an awesome expansion for an already good game. Also been playing Far Cry 2.

I have a similiar problem to this. Most games I join, I tend to get kicked out after a few minutes with some Punkbuster error. I bought the game legally and was very annoyed when this started to happen. If you ask me it's a program which doesn't work well.
Try re-installing the game and punkbuster. I never got round to trying this but it might solve your problem. Hope you can get it fixed as I know how annoying it can be.

I'd rather not drive a boat for 2 to 3 hours, realism is fine but when it's something as stupid as that I just doesn't work.
Also to be honest they might as well just make it into another game. I would like to re-visit Vice City but not in the year 2009, I'd prefer the 80's.

I really couldn't care less about The Getaway. I remember playing it on PS2 and I just thinking the gameplay was so par. I'm not surprised it almost got cancelled, they've barely done anything to it and it was announced at the very start of the PS3's life-cycle. It's not about Sony being stupid, it's just that you can't keep supporting a game which isn't getting very far in terms of development.
Anyway let's hope the producers suprise me and make me want to get it.

I can't see the comments page in my profile. It's not a browser problem because I have also tried viewing it on my iPhone and the same thing happened.
Is this happening to anyone else or am I the only one?

I'd recommend www.play.co.uk if you haven't tried that already. My brother usually uses it and they have cheap prices.

My highest round on Shi-No-Numa was 21 I think. Me and 3 mates spent ages trying to get above 20. There was a lot of arguments and fall-outs during that time as you can probably imagine! -
New trailer is coming out soon. Community manager Robert Bowling said on his Twitter page:
"Just reviewed the final cut, this is the one I've been waiting for! All new Modern Warfare 2 trailer hits online Sunday, OCT 4th!"
Sounds exciting, I won't be watching it though because I don't want to ruin the game anymore for myself! I'm hyped up enough thanks.

Hey everyone,
I am the forum boss for the General Gaming section. For more information on forum bosses, click here.
What I plan to do
What I'd like to do to this section of the forum is:
- to help support everyone's opinion on games and consoles
- to help people with games and any problems they may have
- to supply the section with links guiding to game guides, gaming news, cheats, reviews and more
I don't like to see people saying that a certain person's (for example) console choice is 'rubbish'. If you want to voice your opinion then you are free to do so as long as it is in an acceptable manner and attitude.
It is fine to debate and compare games, in fact I encourage it. But as I have noticed in a few topics this has gotten out of hand and people have begun to insult one another. If I see this then I will help to get the discussion back on track. Please try to remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
But enough from me, is there anything you would like to see for this section? If so then please leave a post or PM me suggesting anything that could be done and I will do my best to see that it happens.

I'm going to buy GTAIV for my PC today, so I'll be playing that soon.
I've also taken a bunch of my brother's games recently; got all the Command & Conquer games, Tomb Raider Anniversary, Impossible Creatures, Far Cry 2 and Flashpoint. So I'm pretty stocked up for a while!

All I want for the next Playstation is for it to have awesome exclusives and great, free online. Those are the reasons why I like my PS3 so much and that's all I want. Backwards compatibility for the PS3 games seems likely as it will probably use the Blu-Ray drive, however you need to remember though the next Playstation is still quite a while away. Most developers haven't even used the PS3's full power yet so there's bound to be plenty of more games.
While on next-gen consoles, I'm really interested to see what Microsoft is going to do with their next console.

I spend about 3-5 hours on it at the moment, I used to spend more though.
Gaming? Well when my PS3 still worked I would be on for sometimes 8 hours a day.

I don't think I've ever gotten a virus. If I have it's one of those ones that's just lame and annoys you by, I don't know, something like making a program ask if you want to shut it down. Stuff that isn't really a concern. But the last time I probably got one of those anyway was ages ago. It seems pretty hard to get a virus for me.

Hmm well I just checked a PS3 repair site in Scotland and for my problem they say it will cost £50 and all HDD info will be kept and any stuck games will be returned. I didn't think it would be as cheap as that. I'll probably try and get it repaired by Christmas.
