It sounds like you have a V1 save file. There's a difference in the MAIN.SCR, so it won't be compatible. I know this doesn't help you but at least now you know why. Look for other topics related to using V2, I think other members got this sorted.

If you saved after using cheats, you'll have to start over from a point in the game before you used the cheats. It's R*'s version of "PunkBuster" & SA seems to be really bad about it. Save the cheats until you complete the game. If not, than it's probably a matter of finishing the right missions in another strand to open up the heist.

100% save IS a loaded game, so as long as it's compatible w/ the MAIN.SCR you're good to go.

You will need to do a manual install. If you haven't done one yet, read the tutorials carefully. And back up everything you edit before you start.

Make sure it's for SA v2, or it won't work. Look for your GTASA USER folder in MY DOCUMENTS. the save file you got goes in there & should come up under LOAD GAME when you start.

If you installed cars, the buildings will be easy. Use the same tools to replace the buildings in your GTA3.IMG file. All you need is the model name of the building you want to replace. Since it's not a vehicle, there are no data edits so you just install & go.

Now that I think of it, I still have a working copy of DOS 3.3 in my desk, on a 1.44 meg floppy. It even has a couple games. Literally a lifetime ago, but kinda nice to see people still messing w/ old school.

The Beagle should show up on the north tarmac, San Fierro AP. Suggest you put the AT400 back into the game, I think it's used for a mission. Replace the Stunt Plane instead. It will show up at your airstrip when you get all silver or better in flight school. If you haven't already, take a minute to checkout the layout of the forum & read the rules. Welcome & enjoy.

Once you have a sniper rifle (look on the roof of Washington Beach VCPD, that's the good one!), you can look at things from a safe distance. Didn't really miss the camera but if they port to PC ( + LCS, I keep hoping) I'd like to see it.

Saint's Row is a bit of a rip-off of GTA, but had a few good ideas. Their approach to clustering (the same car showing up around you) was good & had excellent character customization. Not worth the original $60 price, but for $20-30 it would be good. If you get an X-360 it would be a decent game to have if you're into GTA. The biggest downside is the multi-player games, a lot of little kids w/ lousy attitudes & waiting for some of the games.

Mine sits flat on an open rack, so the vents are on top. Placed upright, they would be facing to your right as you look at it.

HEADS UP, it's raining! I thought blasting cops w/ the fire truck was funny..... I think it can be done, VCS had a fire heli that could scoop up water & dump it on target. It's just a matter of extracting the MAIN.SCR from VCS & finding the code for the fire heli. Is there a source for the VCS code?

Pi-ka-CHUUUU!!!! Spent a couple hours checking out PS2 games Mamma Kitty picked up off e-bay (5 games for $10, including shipping). FANTAVISION - Okay if you're 7 or 8. Metal Gear: Sons of liberty - The views sucked, that one goes downstairs for the household Ompa-Lumpas. The Mummy Returns - Okay, might play it. CORVETTE - Pretty basic driving game, but the cars drive better than most of the games I've seen. Got that one for my kid. Top Gear Dare Devil - SSllooww load, but funny worth the $10 paid for the bundle. You do bad driving in little crapwagons.

I think the last issue of Official X-Bow Magazine (Sept. '07)had a short bit saying SR put off a Play Station version so they could work on SR 2, no details. Overall I liked SR but saw a lot of room for improvement. I'd like a good sequel, just hope there's more to do when you complete the main missions (if you played, you know what I mean). I think this is the first I've seen in here about a new SR, so good looking out for that part.

Does it come w/ Solitaire? The keyboard looks like a standard US keyboard. How's the Nvidia 8800GTS card do on your games, specifically "Scarface :The World is Yours" if you play it. Looks like a good machine.
