You're not really on the first mission, that happens when you reach the house & trigger "Big Smoke". Until then you're free to roam around the first island (Los Santos). A new save game goes into your user documents folder, in GTASA user files. Place it there & it'll show up when you start the game & select LOAD GAME. The MAIN.SCR file has to be the same one used to make a save file or it won't work (game data in different locations). That's why your game quits on you.

There will probably be hookers, just no bad cartoon porn.

I liked the triathlons in SA, I'd like to see something like that in IV.

Does the PSP version have an MP3 player? Does anyone know if they are doing a PC version for VCS (or LCS)?

Seems I ran into that last time I had to re-install. You might have to delete the whole directory & defrag your drive to get rid of the corrupted files. I don't think it's a script/savefile issue, usually the entire bar loads before it locks & a new game will work. The best advice I can give you is this - STEP 1 - BACKUP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! I know that doesn't do much for you now, but when you get the game working, backup after you install each mod. It's time consuming but if you get a bad mod you know right away which one it is. Good luck.

So you're saying you have an illegal version of SA? Unless R* put out a crack for SA (pretty sure they didn't) you're bypassing their only protection from being ripped off. I had a '62 unibody F-100 that had around 278K when I traded it for an engine for a '77 Wagoneer. Should have sold the Jeep for beer money instead. One of the few cars I truly hated.

God, that's irony. Stealing a game about being a huge felon. But yeah, illegal downloads are the quickest way to get kicked out of here. Last time I looked, VC cost $10 (US) to buy. If you're desperate for free GTA, R*'s website has 1,2, GTA London as free downloads.

Sorry man, you need the disks to play, suggest you upload you foot to your brother's ass. You're fubared w/out it. Just a heads up before you start talking about cracks & related, staff takes a very dim view of warez & software piracy. Take a minute & check out the rules. Spaz sounds like some one I would have got along w/ in my school days. I probably bumped the average age here, a little. Can't think of much I can't live without, got everything I need. I was actually disappointed Jan 2nd, 01 when everything (phones, the internet, the banks, etc) still worked. Had (& still do) all my weapons, tools, and ability to use them. I would have ruled my corner of the world. But it did, I don't & here we are. As long as I got my 'Stang, gas money & my satellite radio, I'll get by. GTA relieves stress (a LOT).
