If you want to blame someone for "Hot Coffee", start w/ the old bat that bought SA for her 14 year old grandson w/out reading the box or paying attention to the rating. Yes, I let my 13 year old daughter play, but that's supervised & if she does come across something inappropriate to her age I wont run out & scream lawsuit.. I played the game & made the decision that she's mature enough to deal w/ it. The only thing R* did wrong was forget just how resourceful their fans can be & assume parents would actually read the label. Now that J(A)T is probably a night cook at Denny's this should not be an issue again. (Suggest Spaz & LC go down the street to Perkin's.)

Not really, if you have decent memory. I've set off 20 in front of CJ's beach savehouse & it was pretty unimpressive. In WEAPON.DAT, you could bump the damage up in column "L", although I don't know if that will affect the appearance of the explosion. You would probably have to edit the animation for that.

Just skimmed through another topic that has predicted specs, but thanks for taking a minute. So it looks like I need a better chip & video, I was planning on an upgrade anyway. After playing the X360 version I would guess the HD requirement would be a little bigger than SA. Smaller map but more high res textures & better models. I would guess 5-8 gig depending on how much you install. SA requires 3.6 for minimum install.

Odie passed away about the same time SA came out. I still have his stunt park installed in GTA3.

I never got into Def Comedy Jam, just not my deal. But Bernie Mac's TV show on Fox was great. In the (second?) episode Child Protective Services got in his face because of the way he dealt w/ the kids he got stuck raising. I fell in love w/ him instantly as I had a similar problem. Also liked Issac Hayes. Rest well & God bless to both.

Weapons at your savehouses, even if it's just 1 or 2 from missions. I'll probably fix that in the PC version.

I think the SA Buffalo was replaced by the GTA4 Ruiner. The SA Buffalo was loosely based on a mid '80s Chevy Camaro. The Ruiner is a near perfect copy. The closest you'll come to an Elegy in GTA4 would be the Sultan RS, although it's closer to a mid '80s Merkur XR4ti. I used to have an '87, am thinking about getting another.

If you can get ahead $20 or so, get a PS2 style controller w/ USB connector. A laptop that runs SA should be compatible. Same for a USB mouse. Otherwise, it's just going to be a bitch to play.

Can't wait for Barton Waterduck's next mission editor. Will also probably play w/ IPLs to add ENEXs for most of the rooftops.

Finished main achievements in GTA4 & waiting for Saint's Row 2 this October so I'm re-visiting Stillwater in the original.

Here's where R* gets the epic win. Release the PC version compatible to SA specs & have an upgrade code for better graphics you can redeem when you register your copy of GTA4. People can play the games on the machines they have now, those w/ better machines can instantly upgrade. Everybody wins. (Computer companies don't count on this one as most people won't buy a new computer just for 1 game.

I'll start w/ a script mod that puts weapons & reward vehicles @ your savehouses. Weapons will include the ones given to Niko in various missions. Vehicles used for missions will be parked near savehouses like Little Jacob's Huntley or the yellow Comet from Stevie. Winning all races nets you a special color Sultan RS. Completing Brucie's car list gets a Banshee like the one in his garage. Completing Stevie's list gets a special color Infernus. Finish the mission where you watch over Packie puts a sniper rifle & 25 rounds @ the Bohan savehouse. Complete the most wanted for each island & get a magnum, combat shotgun & M4 respectively at all savehouses. First mission for Peggerino puts the PSG @ the Alderney savehouse. Would also work on a way to do both Deal & Revenge end missions & save both , like a kidnapping instead of a simple drive-by killing.

Okay, 100 thugs w/ RPGs = house is a loss. 1) Call Brucie for IMMEDIATE heli pick-up. 2) Get place in Bohan. Have fall-back locations in Northwood, West Middlepark & Alderney City. 3) Meet Little Jacob & get a good sniper rifle. 4) Kill 200 flying Rats & keep attack heli on standby if they return in mass. Alternate strategy - Turn the video game OFF & spend some time in the real world.
