  1. You said you "don't get another mission to do", I presume you also passed "Green Goo", "Madd Dogg" & "Freefall". The next mission should be "Saint Mark's Bistro" "Green Goo" - Pick up at Verdant Meadows airstrip, from Truth. "Madd Dogg" -"D" icon at Royale Casino, 1 block S of Caligula's. "Freefall" ------Pick up at Rosenberg's office at Caligula's. Did you save after using any cheats? SA is really bad about that & saving after using a cheat (even early in the game) seems to cause this problem, particularly when you get to LV missions. Never figured out if it's a glitch or R*'s version of Punk Buster, but you're not the first to get bit by this one. Go back through this forum & you should find a dozen or so (at least) related topics from summer of '07. If this is the case, you'll have to re-start from a clean save (no cheats used). Also, are you running any mods (particularly one that changes MAIN.SCR)?
  2. A hand held GPS, find that & it temporarily reveals tags/photos/horseshoes & oysters. Finding the GPS again would add to the battery capacity & battery drain would only be in effect while it was being used. Same slot as infrared goggles. Armor, bribes, health & weapons locations would be permanently stored, even after you switched to another item in that slot.
  3. Godfather (PS2). Got the PC version for Christmas last year. Installed it & started game, then I ended up doing a dump & re-load & now I keep getting some idiot message that I need DirectX 9 (which I do have, narrowed down to a video prob). Anyway, picked up the PS2 version for a friend's kid for Christmas & of course I had to make sure it worked. Ended up buying my own PS2 copy & now have almost completed the game, 3 hubs, 3 compounds, 1 or 2 missions & film reels left. Last payday just over $155K. Good game, worth checking out.
  4. It's been a while, but I do remember repeating the races.
  5. That darn conner..... Silberio (KK) got my vote. The little pyro would just experiment w/ what he could make burn being a devout communist, but was really into his Scarface image.
  6. Both PC & PS2 versions have all the first phone missions (races) available for replay. BTW, Borgnine seems to be best car for races (at least for me). I think the races also are set to ignore gang "hate" status, one of the few times you can drive back to Saint Marks' & not get shotgunned later in the game.
  7. In SA there aren't that many interiors, (there's only one "wardrobe"), the game just sends you there from all the save houses. Your apartment could just be a generic interior & you access your things from a menu, like picking your clothes in SA. We'd all have identical apartments, just our profiles would be different. The same w/ garages & cars you've acquired.
  8. Spoiled disrespectful kids piss me off. Agree w/ Madlabrador, & work on your grammar. If you really want to make a point, s*** & f*** don't help. Parents deal w/ all kinds of things you probably never considered like just affording gas to get to work so they can support you, a little respect isn't asking that much.
  9. Bear in mind I have no idea how to script something like this, but here's a few suggestions. Consider it as thinking out loud. What about some kind of side work like delivery (similar to SA courier missions) that get you a realistic steady income, like $50-100 a day. This would be your "on person" money & you would have banks & ATMs to access your bank account. Deposit your money where it collects interest & is safe form losing it. Don't deposit & if you get killed or busted, you lose it (as in Scarface). I also suggest something like a pawn shop where you sell off extra weapons (like Tec-9s & pistols) picked up in fire fights & each recognized gang has a warehouse where these items & captured vehicles could be stockpiled. Save houses would be in apartment complexes & each member would have a basic apartment where they can access their stored weapons & items. When you enter the building, you get the option of entering your own apartment or visiting w/ another member (if home/online) to chat, trade or co-op play. Each gang would have their own complex & members in good standing would have their apartments there. There would also be other properties that could be bought (& sold later if, you wanted) & stocked. Burglary could be an option, but if you get caught in a rival gang's building..... ***"Mack the Knife" plays in the background***
  10. Full point to Red Devil, you're thinking w/ the right head. The problem is when teens don't think about what happens next when you're not careful (& even when you are, sometimes), then there's a baby in the middle of everything. Really wanted to make it to 50 before I got tagged w/ "Grampa"...... Read somewhere a while back some chimpanzees may also get pleasure from sex, but haven't put a lot of effort into following up.
  11. RD - For suggesting car insurance in GTA4. On second thought, keep him around. He makes me laugh as often as he pisses me off.
  12. I think someone did find the tazer, I remember seeing something about it a while back.
  13. T-bone wasn't as much a traitor, just a rival criminal who made his money selling drugs to Ryder & the rest of the Grove Street traitors. In his own weird way, Toreno was a patriot. He really believed what he did was for his country. Phil Cassidy was one of my favorites, especially in Vice City & VCS. Rene (VCS character & LCS DJ) was the funniest. "Whip me Rene, beat me Rene, blow coke up......."
  14. Earth station outlaw signing off, later.
  15. Dig deep enough & you'll find all kinds of un-used models & textures. Some might even be left over from bits used in GTA3.
  16. Lighten up Raymond. You were the one w/ the
  17. Not bad, nice how you used a BMX as a ramp to get onto the "Homies" billboard (by skate park).
  18. As I recall, no. The payoff was free Pay & Spray (all locations). The guide's in the bedroom (w/ the PS2) & Mamma Kitty's sleeping, I 'll grab it later.
  19. Everybody loves Raymond. The Angle you asked about shows up at Lance's house next to the Infurnace after you finish a mission (not sure which). The Cholo Saber, I grabbed early in the game & saved it in a garage. Unfortunately, VCS garages eat cars like other GTAs. I'll double check the strategy guide if I remember, but I think once the Cholos are gone so are their cars. If they ever port VCS to PC a simple DATA edit will fix that. The only thing I can think of off hand is to do empire missions (specifically "Protection") & steal one of their cars & cancel the mission. Similar to the war I got the Phoenix in SA before I started hacking it.
  20. Go 'way kid, you bother me. JK Buying vehicles was a big deal in VCS, will probably figure in GTA4. Car insurance, on the other hand.......
  21. Allegedly, people from R* have been looking in on some of the forums (this one included). Use plain English, decent grammar & put a little thought into your posts. Ironic - If one of the banned members from the last summer was actually Houser.
  22. Just downloaded the ZIP, no DEFAULT.IDE included. Nice screens, might play around w/ this when I re-install VC.
