Deji
Are womens rights fair? I'd like to think people have progressed in the last few years and from my view, women seem to have fair rights. But I was wondering what anyone else thought. Btw, my sig aint offending anyone right?
Dirty Harry
I think womens rights, or anyones rights are fair, aslong as they know them well.

Chris
They still get paid less than men when doing the exact same jobs. Which is kinda funny, not for them obviously. But my point is there's never gonna be equality in this world, be it with race, religion, gender, sexuality etc.

Men don't always make more money from the same job...I mean...look at porn... women get paid WAY more than guys do.
Chris
Good example but it probably is literally the ONLY industry in which that happens.

EvoLuTioN
Good example but it probably is literally the ONLY industry in which that happens. ...Explain what you mean by "industry". Porn industry obviously, The models, the guy with the cameras, the studio guys, the productions team, post production guys, Directors, sales dudes, website people...etc, Its quite a huge industry. Not just a dude with a 50$ camera cell phone.Anyways IMO women rights to some extent is okay till where they are really helpless but beyond that its quite unfair. Colleges which reserve seats for women is one example, Hell most of the girls I know are way smarter then boys, the only girls who get in through that are dumbfucks who never cared to even make an effort. Hansui
^ here in my school when i was 7 up to 9 years old... girls always have more privilege than boys, i mean, when a girl did a serious offense, they weren't reprimanded or suspended by the school principal and the boys eventually will be punished for no reason. i hate it seriously, that made me quite misogynist when i entered highschool. But at least i'm trying to be kind most of the times Edited November 1, 2008 by Unnamed Noodle
Bear
Its not totally equal, in some cases companies won't hire women because they may go on maternity leave one day in maybe ten years time. I studied this in Sociology. Its hard to prove but it does happen. Everything should be totally equal. What annoys me though is how women are changing, there was a poll which showed 1/3 of all teenage girls look up to Jordan and want to be a glmaour model. They don't care about getting the best education and aiming high, this 1/3 just want the celebrity life style with no effort. It angers me as many women gave their lives for womens rights and for the vote.

Chris
We studied that in Business Studies too, the legitimacy of it etc. You can sue in England as well it's just we don't do that thing here, we're not money grabbing whores like many Americans, who, from what we hear over here, sue for pretty much anything these days. Connor
I'd like for women to have equal rights, but they're not the same as men, and we aren't the same as women. Women just don't suit doing certain jobs, or as good as men at doing them, but it's the same either way.

We as Americans have the right to sue over anything, may it be something as trivial as you being a dipshit and spilling hot coffee on your lap (Why there's now a warning sign on coffee) to a celebrity murdering someone, being acquitted in criminal court, and then being sued out the ass by the victim's family. (Robert Blake, O.J. Simpson, etc.)
Deji
Contrary to my sig... I think women have some good rights. Men don't always make more money from the same job...I mean...look at porn... women get paid WAY more than guys do. LOL! Yeah and they get more money in prostitution too. Guess my sig is pretty damn accurate. Sex has more rights then women... Strange. Edited November 2, 2008 by Deji

I find it funny that you think Americans sue just for money. Some actually sue because their rights were violated. But I will admit, there are a large number of people that just sue for money, such as when someone is in an accident and they decide to sue the ones responsible for the money required to pay for medical bills. NZ91
Women still aren't seen as equal. But we've come along way from the old days. And Deji, women's rights show more results because there has been more on women's rights than men's, since men have always been seen as superior to women, hense why there's more articles on women's rights. rockstarrem
I don't know how it is anywhere else but honestly, women definitely have equal rights to men where I'm from.
Vercetti Thug
I never thought of woman in the way men thought of them 50 years ago, but i will admit that in even in TV and society, its obvious that woman<men, and it will be that way a long time until even the slightest gender discrimination is gone. Like, in sitcoms, its always the naggy not fun mom and the fun dad who makes crowds laugh, and also its like, your the man of the house, everyone sees references like that. Harwood Butcher
Well women have come a long way. They're in the military now and there are a lot of instances where the women go to work to make the money and the guys stay home to watch the kids and do house work. Things have definitely changed. To be honest, we can’t predict how society is going to change as time progresses. Predictions are rarely correct and the ones that end up being correct are usually ones that had a 50-50 chance of being correct.
WRX22B1998
well..what to say eh i mean, they are a lot better than they used to, but theres still a long way to go. for example: women as objects sort of thing, at this car show i went to, they didnt look much older than 17 or 18, and they are like in this skimpy/slutty looking outfits, etc. a fair example that USA people might get is the SEMA show. all the girls there. sorta like that.... But yeah..long way to go Edited November 2, 2008 by WRX22B1998
