Spaz The Great
My mom has lower specs than me, minus the fact that her HDD isn't partitioned, so she technically has more room, and it runs just fine. I just didn't know I had a 256MB card. See, I bought a pre-built Acer, and NONE of the specs are correct on it. NONE of them.... The description for it in the store said it had 128 MB graphics card, 512MB of RAM, and like 180GB HDD or something. WTF. It ends up having a 256 card, 1 GB of RAM((I added a 512 from my old PC)), and a 200GB HDD.

Jared
i just reformated my computer lol, and i just got it 4 weeks ago Crap aye, what happened to it? I have only had my new laptop since Late November/early December and I will have to format for Vista after only 3/4 months. Depends on whether they package that new tool that allows you to transfer all files/folders to your new system.

Did you already have it backed up on DVD/CD? I had tons of stuff backed up before I got my new Laptop, lost it all though, for some unknown reason. Pandora
I would've waited with getting Vista.. So if my parents are satisfied with my grades at school at the end of this school year I'll get permission and a budget of 1950 USD from them for a new PC and I'll add some money to that myself as well. So then it's going to be about 2350 USD. -So then I'll have some cheap 19" wide screen from Samsung (had to cut money of something) -a P5N32-E SLI mobo from Asus with nVidia's 680i chipset (but I'm probably going to drop SLI and just take another mobo) -2 Gig RAM of OCZ Gold or something like that -5.1 speakerset of Creative -Scythe Infinity CPU cooler -DVD/CD light scribe blabla -card reader -700 Watt GameXstream Psu OZC. But might take 850 instead -E6700 CPU Intel. Almost certain that I'll get another one. -8800 GTX by XFX overclocked and there's a slight chance that I will take a 8900. -Seagate Barracuda 320 gig HDD. Will be upgraded to 1 TB soon though. No Keyboard and mouse, I'll have to do with some crappy stuff with wires that I still have lying around. Just can't afford it yet. But I'll buy some withing the first 2 months. OS: Vista Ultimate and XP emulated.

Not a Fanboy
I have Vista and am so happy since I fixed my problem. What happens is my Bluetooth is off by default and WLAN is on. This is USUALLY how I want it, but if I goto an airport I need to turn WLAN off, I dont use bluetooth YET. The software would then allow me to change if Blu/WLAN is on or off, however it wasnt working so it would be stuckk!! ALso when I adjust my volume a think would come on the screen showing that went away too. And it also mighta been why my internet cut out. Reinstalling Windoze would fix but it would just come up. I pin pointed when it happended and ran system restore but that was f***ed too!!! Just today I ubnistalled office 2007 which was an app I installed around the time the problems came, it said to complete unistall I need to reboot. I said so, but later I did and its workng now!!![/img] My Laptop [pride and joy] Intel Core Duo T2250 1.73 Dual Core 17" Screen 160 GB Internal HD 80 GB USB DVD Burner [Dual Layer] Bluetooth Built in Wireless 4 Built in USB 2.0 P3 [PC I used Prior to May 1st] Pentium 3 677 MHz Bulky [good] monitor 120 GB Internal Used same USB HD DVD Burner {Dual Layer} DIfferent than the one above Wireless USB Thingy USB PCI Card 2 Built in USB1.1 PC I used before that [around Dec 2006] Pentium MX 232.9 MHz Same Monitor Same hardrive Same DVD Burner DIdnt have the USB thing Same USB 2.0 PCI Card 2 USB 1.1 I stripped all upgrades. Pandora
I don't think the laptop will be enough to run GTA IV TBH. Well mine can't run it for sure, it's 3 years old. But I wouldn't bother about that just yet. You can get the parts to run GTA IV when it's released for a fairly cheap price I think.
