You're right about that, Chris, if modding is illegal, how come Valve Software, the makers of Half-Life, the guys who made Call Of Duty and EA Games allow (and even encourage) modding? And as for GTA King, it would be wise if you start small, rather than just unwittingly dive on a big project, which may take months or a year to complete. There are colleges and schools that offer game development courses, right?

If FFN's supposed to be strict at trolls like DUO, then why not nuke him and his account dead? He wants attention, eh? That isn't what we call proper Netiquette, you know... Besides, there are kids that browse there, and some of his entries have sexually explicit stuff on them... Such fools deserve to be banished from the community forever...

Yeah, hey looks and sounds like one; I was thinking of making a fake trailer of a movie about him, similar to Year Of the Yao and Titanic: Two The Surface, depicting him as a successful rap comedian... He's the William Hung of gangsta rap, right? Here's and article about him in my wiki: http://lpgunitmusic.110mb.com/wiki/index.php/OG_Loc
-
I'm now into making a tribute mini-site for him, it's in http://lpgunitmusic.110mb.com/gta/og_loc.htm - I'm still thinking of ideas for Mr. Cross, such as him making different cameo appearances in movies, videos and other stuff, and some what-if stuff, like OG as a politican, a successful celebrity, etc...

I was thinking of making a tribute to Jeffrey "OG Loc" Cross, you know, the awkward-looking wannabe gangsta, although he seems to be more of like a stand-up comedian. I was also brainstorming for a fan fic about him and his failed career as a rapper, when he decided to be in a comedy bar... What's your opinion about this?

Me and my fellow homies at FanFiction.net are pissed off at DUO MXWELL, a troll notorious for posting nonsensical spam, usually consisting of one word, such as "LOL", repeated over and over again. If you see his/her posts you'll notice that he is deliberately abusing the system; I'm sure there are some of you who are members of this society - I've made a petition against him and other trolls, and ask FFN to impose better measures (such as moderation) against them. What's your opinion about this, homies?

OK, n00bie, did you try to triple-check what you just did? Maybe if you start small in modding, as in following a simple modding tutorial (scroll down the page, you'll see it), that would be nice for you. I don't have an SA install at home, but in my case I made my own billboard mod (replacing the Sprunk advert with a Shirley Temple one, "promoting" the DVD version of Little Miss Broadway) using the usual editing tools, and it worked fine when I installed it in my homie's PC...

There are some programs that require DirectX 9.0c, but have trouble detecting them, such as Puppit, a machinima program. I've tried working it on my machine (and on another one), with the right DotNET framework and DX9.0c, but no luck...

Simply listening to your iPod is the only cure that I know for this; there isn't any user track player for the PS2 version...

Judging from what I see in SA, one of the ships that you're talking about is in San Fierro, and since it appears as a white spot in the map, it's a stationary landmark; if sailing ships is what you're looking for, maybe a boat simulator might help...just joking!
-
Dat Gizoogle thang's real nice, homie, ya' know what I'm sayin'? I tried a quote from Dakota Fanning, and here's what she's sayin' if she's a gangsta:
-
I dunno, but try wiping your whole SA install out, and reinstall it again...

The draw distance tells the computer how far will it draw objects in a 3D graphics program, such as SA. The more the draw distance, the clearer the background objects; this makes the computer work harder just to draw faraway objects. Try to set the draw distance to medium, and play around with the detail settings - CJ might end up blocky in there, but this should help you with the game. Also, there might be other background processes that get in the way; freeing up memory for SA to use may help you, too... An internal graphics card may not make SA work properly... P.S.: Feel free to give me a HijackThis log of your PC; there might be some unwanted stuff there...

Here's the theme for you: http://www23.ownskin.com/theme_detail?t=nETjlXi0 - follow the instructions and upload it to your phone via Bluetooth or USB (a mini-USB to-USB cable should work for your 6300)... Sorry, not a fan of Manchester, although I watch soccer... -

Sorry, but I'm too busy with things right now; OwnSkin.com may help for you... -
I like hip-hop/rap music, although they slather their songs with profanity and stuff, I'm more comfortable with rap and RNB...

Don't worry, I'll do that in no time... By the way, your previous avatar has that animated Manchester United badge on it - could you send it to me? -
I haven't played that game yet; all I know about Mafia is that it was set in the 1930s, a time when Shirley Temple was cool, cars were big and stuff, etc...
-
Nice rig you got there, QD; I still have to shell a lotta' dough if I want to get one...
-
Maybe you should back up that floppy, you know, for posterity's sake (if the EULA allows)?

I'm currently into making mobile themes for Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones; if you're interested, and you have a compatible phone, tell me your phone model and your desired theme, and I'll whip up one for you. Prices are 15-25 bucks... Here's what I've made so far:

You should try the open-source Gimp, Sib, it does wonders like Photoshop, for free... But you're plates are OK, nothing to rant about...

The first GTA game I actually played was Carl Johnson's Guide To San Andreas, aka GTA San Andreas. I ended up wasted at first, but I then got hooked to this hoodlum thingie, with me playing Vice City, GTA 3, LCS and the GTA 1 demo...
-
It seems that more and more developers are taking advantage of Carl Johnson's popularity as a fictional hooligan, such as the case of Gameloft's action-adventure-sandbox game, Gangstar: Crime City (who on earth would be crazy enough to call a city like that?). It was basically a GTA clone-slash-ripoff dealing with a rather stereotyped gangsta lifestyle, and added with some hip-hop wannabe language. You'll play as Esse, a lowly ex-con who decided to rise in the mobsta ranks by meeting up with the Mafia. Gameplay was a lot like GTA, with missions and they even got to the point that some of the characters such as Marshall will stab you in the back and betray you, much like what Sonny does to Mr. Vercetti in Vice City. And take this, Rockstar, one of the game's characters has a dialogue portrait that will remind you of the CJ app icon for San Andreas... What's your opinion about this, guys? Youtube Trailer:
