Wouldn't count CS and TF as part of Half-Life but they're all good games, I've played through Half-Life, most of OpFor, but haven't really touched Blue Shift yet. I play CS 1.6 frequently.

That demo was fucking awesome, <3 shooting electricity at a splicer, beating them with the wrench, then stealing ADAM and EVE from their corpse. Also, there's this part where you're going up and magnum handgun . And the graphics are sick, and it runs smooth for me on max settings. Didn't like the setting/premise at first, but holy shit, good game.

No, I have never seen one, I really don't think it's something real, I think it's just years and years of media hype combined with the overall gulibility of mankind. Like in San Andreas, so many people claimed they saw bigfoot/a yeti/random paranormal bullshit yet NOT ONE of them provided proof. Also, on the subject of video game scariness, the only enemy I've ever been afraid of in a game is the poison headcrab/zombie from Half-Life 2. I know I shouldn't fear games. I know how the game works. I know how the headcrab is placed in the map. I know it's just a huge mass of pixels. I know that it's just a model with a picture painted onto it, moving using a pre-defined animation and a selection of sound files. But damnit, whenever I hear the sound it makes the hair on my neck stands up and I run the hell away or kill it as quickly as possible.

IMO ghosts are bullshit, seriously, you'd think with the billions of people on Earth that ONE of them could get actual, undeniable video/other proof of a ghost. Also, I'm not particularly fond of bees or larger spiders. Oh and BTW, Reagan was the best US president of the 20th century

Zelda was never the greatest game ever in the first place, as far as single player, that title is a tie between GTA and HL2. tbh the game never really looked appealing to me so I'm not even going to bother with it, but if you liked the demo then be sure to pick it up.

2142 is incredibly shitty compared to BF2. At least BF2 didn't give you spyware and flood you with advertisements for Intel. 2142 is like BF2 except they removed wheels from all the vehicles and made the muzzle flash effects less like actual guns and more like toy guns. BF2, however, pwns. I usually play on the Insomnia365 Sharqi and Mashtuur servers, the Robert Reeds Jalalabad server, the LegionAtWar public server (city/air maps), and random infantry only Karkand servers (to whore out medic points). I almost exclusively play the Spec Ops kit with the first unlock, the G36C, which is the best gun in the game. I do the usual cartillery, C4 traps, burst-sniping, and just all-out rambo ownage. When I'm not being a Spec Ops, I play Medic on the Karkand servers and use the G36E (G36C w/ burst fire) and do the "kill/go prone/revive/repeat" routine.

Of course I can, I don't want to be a fatass who eats fast food every day and then dies young. Cooking is a necessary and useful skill.

Rockstar doesn't need to make up for anything at all, people accepted GTA3 at its release and they still do. Why do you think that, after GTA3 was released, suddenly all of these third person-free roaming-action games started appearing. The Getaway. True Crime. Driv3r. Parallel Lines. 187-Ride-or-Die. Saints Row. (Ironic because Driver/2 actually did the 3D bit before GTA3 but then GTA3 came along and Driver got its shit ruined) Countless others. All trying to mooch off of the success of GTA3/Vice City/San Andreas. Also, Vice City was even based on the Scarface movie. Then a Scarface GTA-clone is made. And it sucked. Just like all GTA-clones. Always sucky. Rockstar most likely decided to use Liberty City because it is a location that A LOT of people like. Out of all the cities, I certainly think it's one of the most interesting. Rockstar is probably using it to introduce the new era of GTA.

Excuse me? GTA3 certainly is not crappy and never was, it was an excellent game, the type of which had never been done before. GTA3 brought GTA into the 3D era. Never before have there been so many attempts at copying the gameplay of a particular franchise. GTA3 may not have the features of later GTA games, but technology was a factor. That doesn't change the fact that the game was (and still is) fun.
