Keeping the cover off of your PC won't harm it, just don't accidentally touch the inside when it's on lol.

Overheating. Something in your PC isn't being adequately cooled so when you're stressing it (by playing a game) and the part isn't getting cooled enough, your fan tries harder and harder to keep it at good temperature, but fails at doing so. Then when your fan can't spin any faster and thus can't cool it enough, the overheating part reaches the shutdown temperature, basically when the part reaches a high enough temperature, it automatically shuts itself down to prevent physical damage, resulting on your computer choking on a dick. Get a temp monitoring program and see what the temps are on the mobo, graphics card, and processor when you're gaming.

Hm, my Xbox 360 was manufactured in March of 2005 and I've never ever had a problem with it, overheating or otherwise, and at one point I gave it to my Dad who had it on carpet, constantly on for over a week.

Alienware sucks, they overcharge you like crazy and their cases don't even look that good. Building your own PC is where it's at.

Went over to my father's fiancée's family's house, had turkey and ham in addition to other staple foods. Highlight was the little kids there-lucky bastards got a Wii (sold out everywhere). Very fun. They also got a game called "Playground" which basically consists of little mini-games, I kicked everyone's ass at dodgeball!

Hm, get XP and perform fine w/ 2GB of RAM or get Vista and have to double that as well as get a better processor for similar performance.

The more people that know about your graphics (provided they are good quality), the more people will vote for you. Just don't beg for votes here. Also, stop flaming/threatening eachother. Yes, the operating system's visual style is great. The problem with Vista is its performance and reliability. I LOL'd the last time I went into Best Buy and they were selling laptops with Vista on them. The laptops had 1GB of RAM and laaaaaaaged. People who buy those computer that run slow when simply running the OS deserve it.

Ravenholm is easily the scariest in Half-Life 2. Episode 1's scariest moment is when you're in the hostpital with the poison zombies. Episode 2's scariest moment is right at the beginning. Two minutes into the game and there's a poison headcrab.
