  1. Well I think the issue is that you're only allowed to have sex with your wife... so he had to marry this goat to make it all legal. You know your country is f*cked up when you have to marry a goat to stay on the right side of the law.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/4748292.stm From the article: A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal. No, his name wasn't Gilb, but its not far off the kinda thing he'd do. And they lived happily ever after....
  3. These days I'm kinda wishing I'd made a resignation topic, rather than people guessing.I stepped down from thegtaplace (not the wiki) for several reasons. One being that I'd got a full-time job and couldn't be online everyday (that has now passed); another reason being that I'd set up several other sites (grand theft wiki, msforums etc) and didn't have the same amount of time to devote to tgtap. The other reason is that tgtap was going in a different direction, with Chris being online more and the gang system making a comeback, and a lot of people were criticising my clinical style of running the place (or was it just the fact that i was running the place?). Anyways I stepped down and a lot of inactive supermods got a shock when they realised nobody was actually doing any moderation anymore. Hopefully me leaving will have helped them all to get their act together and get working. I'm still available if theres a spam attack or anything silly, and I do like this place and I do enjoy moderating it. I just don't think I should be running the place anymore. The Wiki is still going strong by the way, so be sure to visit.
  4. Yeah, of course, cos not being straight would just be stupid, wouldnt it? lol
  5. So you're saying everyone who doesnt smoke pot is boring and old? Just shows how shallow some people are if they can't find any other way to have fun other than cause trouble or take drugs. If it wasnt for your weed, I bet you wouldn't be the life and soul of any party either.
  6. SA-MP if you like deathmatches and spanish idiots cheating MTA if you like racing and eastern europeans interfering Your choice.
  7. Chav It's a British word for the trendy stupid smoking druggy burberry-capped twats listening to dance music whilst wearing their adidas trousers stuffed into their socks. All the girls get pregnant at 11, and all the boys are on heroin by the time they're 12.
  8. Thats just because if you type s gay (for example, "someone is gay") then the forums automatically filter that out into s "bad". That's there to stop people saying something/someone is gay as an insult, but is outdated.
  9. Hey Sky - the guy with the great blue line. Need to see some birthday photos with your trademark in Happy Birthday
  10. Oh good, I havent seen one of these topics in a while. 1) The only people that know how the forum truly runs is its long-serving members. Some of those become staff, and act upon the policy. Some of those become (or started off as) admins, who decide the policy. 2) Is your only problem questions being asked twice? If so, thats a small problem. If you're suggesting no other forums have this problem, you're frankly wrong. It isn't easily correctable - and thats what this forum is about, asking questions. If we tell people not to ask questions but to read a website instead, that's different. People asking questions about GTA are using this forum properly. People thinking they know more about the site than the people who run it are not using this forum correctly. It is people like yourself that create the disorganisation you are so fond of. It is people like yourself that attempt to get the staff fighting each other. It is people like yourself that this forum can do without, rather than people who play GTA. 3) You're call = You Are Call? <-- disorganised 4) There is no such thing as the "Mod CP" - there hasn't been for years. Is your forum experience with InvisionFree or IPB 1.3 or something? Wouldn't surprise me. 5) If, indeed, you were trying to help; if you really cared about this forum; then you could do something about it. Perhaps you could have created a nice FAQ topic inside San Andreas modding, so that people could read that and not need to ask questions. Wouldn't that be better than complaining about these inominate problems? 6) All you seem to want is moderator access. You seem to think that by winding up the staff, and not actually contributing anything of value, then they'll give you authority. I can tell you that they won't, they will tell you that they won't, and anybody who knows this forum or its staff will tell you that they won't do that. You blatently don't have a clue. QED. GTFO.
  11. There's a lot of things people do that they weren't designed for. Alcohol? Smoking? Drugs? Kissing a member of the same sex doesnt harm anyone - its just a difference, like any other. Anally penetrative sex, as with oral sex and masturbation, may not be what those respective areas of the body were made for, but its all been done for centuries. Smoking, drinking and taking drugs are all lifestyle choices that the person has made at one stage. It may not have been through a lot of consideration (eg taking drugs whilst drunk) but they could have just said no and walked away. (Obviously being spiked etc is different) Sexuality is not a decision. I don't know whether its determined at birth or through environmental factors later in life, but I certainly had no choice. However, I do have a choice whether or not to practice it. I could just say 'no' and refuse to have any relationships with a guy, but that wouldn't do anybody any good, and would only please the homophobic preachers.

  13. oh dear oh dear It's first day of school/college today for Chris today.... thats not good...
  14. Today we celebrate the birthday of our hardworkinglong-standing leader, Chris, who is 18 today. Turning 18 is a big event, the big signpost of the successful transition into adulthood. Aside from being able to buy alcohol and pornography, it comes with a lot of respect, and a lot of responsibility. No longer is he looked after by the state, no longer is everything done for him, but he has to make his own way in his own world. That's what being an adult is all about. As for Chris himself, he's achieved what so many before and since have tried and failed to do - he is running a successful and profitable website. The GTA Place is a well-respected source of reliable and consistent information, and the forums are loved by many (and hated by a few). We've had our ups and downs, members and staff coming and going, hackings and spammings, competitions and rivalries - we even saw Chris entirely relinquish control for a while. However, through all the turbulent times, we've seen the this place grow and continue growing - it is, by all marks, a success. In my line of work, we see so many sites come and go; so many hopefuls falling at the first hurdle; and so many entrepreneurs crushed under the weight of their own ego. Chris has eventually managed to strike the right balance between working and playing, although that isn't too hard since he admittedly doesn't do very much of either. I personally wouldnt be anywhere near where I am now if it wasn't for Chris. I would be churning out thousands of pounds a year for hosting, have to buy my own domains and code my own sites. I am extremely grateful for all the help he gives me on an almost daily basis, and I try to return as many favours as I can. He is a great friend in that respect, plus the fact we've always got on well. After meeting him in person a couple of weeks ago, I'm really looking forward to spending a few years at university together. Without this turning into too much of a tribute instead of a simple happy birthday, I'm sure you'll all join me in thanking him for what he's done, and wishing him the very best for whatever lies ahead. Gerard.

    AHHH HELP!

Let me explain. 1) Go to the Vice City Modding subforum 2) Look at the very top of the list, and click where it says "Pinned: How to install a car mod - VCM and Manual installations" That should be able to help you out.
  16. Nah we don't go to the same school - yesterday was the first time we'd met. Although we are planning to go to the same university, which was why we met up.
  17. How is life? Pretty good. Just finished three weeks of full-time work, got that experience under my belt which is really good to have at 17. Got my AS results (which could've been better) and about to start final year of college (sixth form). Today, I went round Staffs Uni with Chris (yes, that Chris), which was fun. Even though it's pretty small and quite far away, it looks like it'll be my first choice uni. Now all I need to do is write a decent personal statement and go up a grade at A-level to get in. Just ONE last year of living at home and doing schoolwork and getting yelled at and wearing suits. Then... freedom. Can't effing wait.
  18. Problem is I don't trust anybody that says the disk is scratched and they want another one. It may be true, it's happened to me lots of times, but I still dont like giving out cracks. "and i dont wanna try puting it in again" Just put it in, if it works then good, if it doesnt then it doesn't
  19. That was a pretty cool april fools, took months of planning too. view
  20. TV shows do NOT belong in "serious chat". And everybody loves Chris anyway
  21. CPUs are always doing stuff, even when everything is minimised. It's "Service Pack 2" not "server pack 2" If your CPU overheats, your PC will shut down. Most laptops have that built in safety feature to stop it catching fire. If that is the problem (and its not just a dead battery or anything) make sure you haven't turned any fans off or turned the maximum operating temperature down. If you've played about in BIOS recently, go back in and either undo what you did or set to defaults.
  22. So you're saying you have a copied play disk, and GTA3 won't play it? That's because GTA3 refuses to play copied disks, because they're usually illegal. The only way you can play it is with a legitimate disk or by modifying the game (illegally) to play copied disks. Also, you aren't supposed to give your games out, your friend should buy his own if he wants it. Or has he not really lost the disk, and you're just finding out how both of you can play the game? Sorry, but I've heard too many people ask how to use copied disks for illegal purposes. If you don't own the game, buy it. If your friend doesn't own the game, he should buy it.
  23. except...... he's a good guy Pretty cool though
  24. Howabout starting off NOT being in a gang? In Vice City, you were working for the Forelli's at the start. In San Andreas, you're part of the OGF. I'd prefer being a normal person, and getting involved with crime from the very bottom. The first mission should be exciting enough for new players to enjy and get the feel for the game, but you should have to start off doing small-time jobs for any gang you choose. The grove street type gangs were never my scene, so if I had a choice, I'd get involved with Woozie more than Sweet. Thats the freedom I want.
  25. To find out for sure, you have to be open to the possibility that you might be gay. But also you have to remember that you might not be after all that. Just notice who you look at. If you keep your eyes on breasts all the time, or if you think hunky guys are nice. Thinking a guy is good looking doesnt mean you like them, and it doesn't mean you're gay. But if you think about it a lot, and like to see them topless or whatever, thats a bit of an indicator.
