Glad you got your problem sorted. Try not to discuss cracks and things on these forums, but since you own a legitimate copy of the game and you're only using it to fix a problem it's fine. Topic Closed.

As for jets, something along the lines of the A380 and the 747 Dreamliners would be nice. I wanna see a cargo plane (like the andromeda) too. Microlite things would be cool, as would hang gliders, but just a novelty like the parachute and monster truck. Could play a good part in missions too. For a heli, definitely a Chinook dual-rotor cargo thing - would be awesome. Smaller heli's just aren't exciting enough, and the Hunter was beaten by the Hydra for me in SA. I think a bigger airport would be cool, and bring back the automated planes.

We are considering modifying The GTA Place Forums to allow members to create their own blogs. It is an advanced blog feature which would enable you to have your own blog which will rival that at myspace, msn spaces or anywhere else you may already have a blog. It would be fully integrated into the forums, members can even comment on your posts, you can have an about me page and other custom pages. It even makes an RSS feed so you can place someone's blog on your Google Homepage, Vista Sidebar or anywhere. There are some advanced searching and filtering options, statistics for each member and image galleries. You can moderate your own blog, so have your own personal space you are in charge of. From your control panel you can make your blog private, so only certain members can see it, choose whether guests can read and reply, and even modify the layout. If you don't want to post on your blog here, you can always have it redirect to your myspace blog or wherever. Please vote honestly as we need to decide whether it would be worth getting or not.

Design a character isnt bad, if it was implemented (you never know) it would just be pick a person (inc male and female), but i doubt it would require full personalisation, cos clothes and everything would be available ingame. Only 78 votes so far, come on people

Calm down, somebody will read this topic, and may be able to help or point you in the right direction. Check you have the latest drivers, and that you have DirectX 9.0c installed. It's on the SA DVD.

Wow, somebody actually managed to follow my instructions Not sure how good "version 0.0.0.0" is for the application though. Check that the files actually copied into the c:\program files\rockstar games folder properly, and that the DVD isn't scratched etc etc Other than that, I'll have to ask some other members to help out. Sorry I couldn't help, but there's a lot of information there for us to go on.

Thats all fine. I presume you haven't tried to install any mods, or had it installed previously. I also assume the installation went fine, with no errors. If you have Windows XP Pro (I don't think this will work on XP Home) then do this to find out what's wrong: 1) Go Start, click Run, type "eventvwr.msc" and click OK 2) That will bring up the Event Viewer 3) Double click on "Application" 4) You will see all your computer's errors 5) If you see one of the list has the error icon, double click on it, and see if it says anything about gtasa.exe. If it doesn't go to step 6. 6) Double click on the top one in the list if they're all the i bubble, and press the big down arrow until the big grey box says something about gtasa.exe 7) If you find the exact error that gtasa.exe had, copy everything that is in the grey box, and post it on here. That should tell us exactly what's going wrong when it dies.

What are your computers specifications? If you have an old computer with an old graphics card, SA may not like that. This type of error usually comes up if it doesn't want to run on your PC, or if some of the files have been edited wrongly.

Nah too late, sorry. We found several members that had registered in the past few days with the similar IP addresses. Yep Jezz, the first two octets were identical. That means their IPs all began with the same two parts like 123.456.xx.xx. The chances are that he has a dynamic IP so he can just flick off his router and reappear. All those accounts have been banned. PM Spamming is now an instantly bannable offence. You must save any PMs you receive and forward them to myself or Chris, since we can do something about it. A report button for PMs is a good idea, looking into it.

Jezz, shut up. Yes he's been PM Spamming but if he's just done it for someone else that's not as bad. I'm following up your complaint that he IS SMCentral, but I have no conclusive proof yet. Until then please keep your opinions to this matter to yourself. However, let me just point out that the ONLY reason TGG signed up on these forums was to spam them. That IS a bannable offence. However, if he shows that he's sorry, and isnt the same person who got banned the other day, then we may allow him to leave. He needs to make some useful contributions to the forums, and now.

It wouldn't be illegal if Rockstar (the gta developers) let you do it Mods are actually really hard to make. If you had a big choice of customizable options (eg choose a shirt, choose patter, choose colour) thats a different thing to making your own textures and models.

The name really doesn't sound like a games console. It isnt even a word, just a sound. Its a pronoun in English, 'yes' in French, and probably something abusive in Japanese. The Nintendo Revolution fitted perfectly. It was a vision, it needs no explanation, could be affectionately abbreviated to Revo by its friends, and sounded cool. Wii is just.. awful Isn't gonna help Nintendo shake off that Kiddie image I tell you. Doing what told not to do = ignoring Yeah the only reason we haven't locked all old topics is because you never know somebody could post something useful in them. But if it's that useful, then a new topic would be fine. I think only some ###### p|nned topics should be left open for public posting. Staff are currently discussing this amendment.

In my book, breaking the rules more than once is ignoring staff. It doesn't take a second to realise that going back to page 3 of a subforum and posting in a topic there isn't going to be an active one. If you had a problem with it, say so, thats what we're here for. If you think the rule is a big tight, say so, only we can do something about it. We are currently in the process of reviewing all our rules and moderation guidelines. It has been suggested that old topics (more than a month or so) should be locked, and bumping is not allowed in them unless that topic is ######. That way there is a clear distinction between topics that are useful to bump and those that are not. Any suggestions people?

Yep. All you need to do is download the GXT editor, open the file (SanAndreas/text/american.gxt) find the car name (eg Cheetah) and change it to whatever you want (eg Porsche).

The problem we have is some members post well, but then begin to take liberties and think they can ignore the rules just because they've made ten topics today. Yes of course we love having all the members we do, and having ones that love being here and posting is great and really lucky on our part. All we ask is that you dont make a mess of the forums. Posting porn, swearing, unneccessary comments or bumping ancient topics. That pretty much covers it. Yes the bumping rule is the least bad of those, and yes it may seem a bit petty to you, but if we let people reply to topics that were years old, often with useless replies, we'd just end up with a big mess. You were warned several times about this, and a few days ago I warned you again. You had obviously ignored what we'd told you to do (if you didn't understand you would have asked). In line with our moderation guidelines I gave you a three-day suspension, which should have given you the time to read the email I sent reminding you of the rule you have repeatedly broken. You only have a 60% warning, next time you bump it will be a two-month suspension, the time after that it will be a permenant ban. That is how these forums work, and you have known that for a long time. One thing leads to another. If we'd let you continue, other members would think they could get away with bumping, and breaking other rules and ignoring the staff. We can't let that happen. If you don't wish to abide by our rules then you should leave, as you have chosen to do. Of course we'd prefer you to stay and post, but if you just keep on breaking the rules and ignoring us then there's nothing we can do. We don't want you to leave, but equally we don't want you to ignore us.
