GTA1 -- Mission Pack 1: London 1969 GTA2 GTA3 -- Vice City -- San Andreas GTA4??? This doesn't include GTA Advance or the PSP versions Vice City and San Andreas were just parts of GTA3. Yes they are separate games but they used the same basic engine and followed a sort of continuous storyline. The next 'full-blown' main GTA game will be completely new, and unrecognisable from anything previous, just like GTA3 was all new compared to GTAs 1 and 2.

No I know where they are, I was just saying they should be in your poll. Well the turismo should anyway, the lawnmower was just a joke. Then again somebody may genuinely find it a good way to travel round a state, I don't know

I haven't played VC since I've played San Andreas. I'm going to one day, but I'm scared that it's gonna be crap and I'll lose the respect I have for this awesome game.

Yes let me point out to those speculating. Since midnight on the 31st March to 1st April, we have had 50,000 (fifty thousand) unique visitors to GTAChicago.com Some sites have reported that we've had that many hits, which counts every time a page is opened or image is displayed. We have actually had that many visitors, all with different IP addresses. Even if anybody visits twice, they are listed only once. The foolometer on the GTAChicago homepage is only a rough guide.

Yes, GTA Chicago was an elaborate April Fools prank by our very own admin Chris, here at TheGTAPlace. Planned for quite a while, he copied the exact page (including code) from a previous GTA release announcement site, and edited the logo, the images (PS3, 2007). We spread the rumour through a few sites, added the fake announcement onto thegtaplace's homepage, and let the web do the work. Within 19 hours 22,000 people had visited the fake site, and dozens of websites, blogs and forums around the world had this announcement on. Many people were sceptical, many realised it was just a prank, yet many believed it was true. Here are some of the many sites that linked to gtachicago today: urgo.org, kotaku.com, wikipedia.org, ga-forum.com, qj.net, somethingawful.com, gamespot.com, gta.ag.ru, jogos.uol.com.br, playstation.com, digg.com, del.icio.us, live.com, xbox.com, ign.com, joystiq.com, hlfallout.net, gamespy.com, terra.com.br, vandal.net, gtasa.cz, teamxbox.com, nforce.nl, xbox-scene.com, whirlpool.net.au, spel.feber.se, neowin.net, ps3forums.com, evilgamerz.com, firingsquad.com, hinnavaatlus.ee, gtaforums.com, 1up.com, and many more. The aim was not to piss people off, but to instill a bit of excitement in the community. I personally hope that people are now wanting a new GTA more than before, and that perhaps Rockstar would be inspired by the sheer excitement that has surrounded a simple announcement of a new game, even though it was fake and not broadcast very far by us. The following 6 steps are what Chris went through to begin the foolery: The two domains were registered on the 2nd Feburary Later, he copied and pasted source code from GTA4.com's page, as it was parked at Register.com - this made it look as if Rockstar had parked gtachicago there as well for the average visitor. Chris went to archive.org and looked at the first version of the Official San Andreas site, took the source code and associated images. This formed the basis of the page, image sizes were all kept exactly the same to add to the authenticity. All that was needed was a font to write Chicago. An authentic 1930's font was hard to find, but he did find one, it wasn't the best but it didn't need to be, this after all was a joke. If it was too serious, perhaps worse things would have happened. Late on March 31st, he uploaded the site and posted the fake storyline he had written as a press release on TheGTAPlace.com We submitted the story to a few gaming sites (QJ, Kotaku etc) and the web did the rest. People saw it and posted it themselves, that was seen by many other people who then posted it everywhere else. Any comments, congratulations or anything positive please comment here. Anything negative, just don't bother.

Owned. So totally owned. Very successful prank. And sucks to all those guys that guessed it easily and then tried to spoil it for everyone else. That includes that person that thought it was clever to edit chris' post to explain it early.

Okay okay guys calm down. Nobody is gonna get warned here unless they keep on bickering, okay? Craig, there's no need to lash out. If someone is wrong, say so then continue. Bickering about it isn't gonna help anyone, and you're only really gonna make yourself look bad if you spaz out on someone. Joonas, nobody hates you. Just so long as you don't keep posting useless posts like that then everybody will like you. This is a GTA4 wishlist, remember? Jezz, whether you're right or wrong, don't wind him up. You know how easy it is to do it, so be sensible enough not to do it. Back ON TOPIC everybody, now, or else.

GTA is not a race game, its a game that has a bit of everything. Its got racing, shooting, killing, flying, sport, sex, fashion, gangs, storyline, action, adventure.. the list goes on. One thing we do know about multi-tasking applications is that they rarely do the best of each individual thing, but together make a better option than lots of little programs. Microsoft Works has a crap version of each application (word processing, spreadsheet etc) but is a nifty little app in itself. All round cars may not look as good or be as fast as or have as much space as some, but they aren't bad. San Andreas doesn't have the most precise shooting ranges, or the most thrilling car chases, or the most realistic textures, or the most accurate vehicles, or the most involving storyline, but hey, it aint half bad.

I absolutely agree with slayer. Lets take it back a gear. Imagine if Rockstar re-released San Andreas, under a different name, with different missions, a slightly upgraded engine and a few new features. Would you all go out and buy it? Many would just because its a GTA game. Many people would not have bought San Andreas and would just get the new one instead. But most people who have played San Andreas to death won't really want to have to do it all again. There are many reasons why people did buy LCS. One was that it was a game, a good game. One was that it was for the PSP and people wanted a decent game for that - even if it had just been a port of gta3, many would have bought it for that reason. Notice there is a lack of the people that really want a new GTA. Rockstar are bringing out a PS2 port of LCS, which WILL sell some copies, for the same reasons as above, but not as many as GTA3 originally did, or probably even LCS did. What if rockstar did that with GTA4, and released an all-new game in a new city, with a new engine, and completely different features, released on PSP first THEN onto PS2 or PS3 THEN onto PC and XBox 360. That would sell sh*tloads.

People power - all you have to do is ask By the way... the reason we don't allow unlimited changes is because people would always be changing, hiding, and pretending to be other people. We like to keep track of you, and I'm sure your friends on here do too.

Its only because the bots arrive on the page and then follow every link to see where it goes. They don't know what's behind them, but they look anyway and just save what they find. If it says they're logging in, it just means they're on the login page. If they're using the Personal Messenger, it means they're in the PM centre page or have followed a link to that.

Yeah R* are really pushing it if they're gonna go for Vice City Stories then San Andreas Stories for PSP and PS2/3 or PC/XBox. We want one thing, its quite simple. A brand new GTA game, bigger and better than anything perceived before. We do NOT want repackaged old games. That's just dirty tricks, and not good for the consumers. Rockstar won't make many friends unless they give us something new.

1) If you're going to ask for somebody to work for days creating something just for you, for free, at least put the effort into making a decent post asking for it. English, plain english, is the language we speak here - spelling and stuff does matter. 2) What has this got to do with "the next GTA?" If you are asking Rockstar to make these vehicles in the game, then post it in the wishlist topic. If you are asking one of our members to create a car for San Andreas or Vice City, post it in the "mods" section of the relevant game. I'll move this to San Andreas mods, let us know if you want it somewhere else.

They're just going to be on TV talking about games, and it would be best if the kid they chose had "helped develop a game" or were familiar with the ins and outs of games and programming and modding.
