Big O, SHOWTIME! (nice avatar, InGn006. Bog O would make a good game if they did it right.) Volition did a good job designing & coding SR, the models are nicely done & the physics are decent, I think they've come the closest to a GTA clone w/out being a rip-off. I don't think they're waiting to rip-off R*, but really are trying to put out a quality game. Besides, what's the last GTA (or "clone") to start you on the premise SR2 uses?

And on that note.... (Thanks for the nod, MLL) You probably will get your best results using the GTA VC Steed mod by Demarest. I've seen it on several sites, a quick search will get you there. VC doesn't have a "skill level" & I don't think a data edit will help much for staying on your bike. I think the steed mod is a script mod, which means you will have to start a new game.

Easy way is back up the DATA folder in SA. There's the MAIN.SCR & I think the 1.01 patch edits several data files as well. Is there somewhere I can download the 1.01 MAIN.SCR? I under stand there's a couple changes (like working car wash) I'd like to add to V1.

Just so we're clear, how many AKs have you handled?. NOT seen on discovery channel, but actually fired. Same for the M-16/AR-15. Yes, the AK is very tolerant of being exposed to mud/sand/etc, but at a cost. It's built to looser tolerances, which means it also looses accuracy. At 300 yards (close to 300 meters) the M-16 is going to be a lot more accurate because it's built to be more accurate whereas the AK will only be spraying ammo around & only randomly hitting a target. Also the M-16 has a higher muzzle velocity & rate of fire. You just have to keep it a little cleaner. Take a look at the GTA3 section of DOWNLOADS (top right corner of the screen), that might give you some ideas. A working plane, more missions, more side work (via script edits), etc.

That works best after you take over all the areas you're working in, then you can recruit Saints while the dealer is doing business. It helps to grab fresh cars (those FBI trucks work nicely), especially in Los Carnales territory. That van is just worthless above level 3.

You'll need BW's SA script editor - http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/file.php?id=533 There's also a co-ords mod you'll need, but I didn't find it in our database. This mod gives you XYZ co-ordinates you'll need to place vehicles in SA. Don't forget, new MAIN.SCR = new game.

Thanks. For those of you playing the PC version, I've put in a few hours recently on Scarface w/out the "official" patch & haven't had near the problems w/ the game as when I did use it.

I can confirm Chris' statement. AVG has flagged several trainer type GTA tools/utilities on my machine as well, I think it looks for types of code that are also used in the trainers. I don't rely much on trainers so it's no big deal for me, but some of the other members have got around this issue. They'll probably have suggestions as they see this.

Presuming you have a legal copy of SA, it sounds like your OS is missing a DLL (dynamic link library). You probably need your WINDOWS installation disk to install it or see if MS has it for download/
