Unless there is a mod for use w/ SAMI (San Andreas Mod Installer) you'll have to use an IMG tool for a manual install. There's also TXD tools to edit the textmaps of the peds you want to change.

Johnny would make sense, you saved him from Green so he might be honor bound to help you out. Dex might also be an allie, giving you police undercover missions to clear out other gangs or Saints leftovers. Pretty sure Julius will be a target.

No MP. If you get the PC version, avoid the "Official" patch from Seirra/VU. The first time I played the game it caused more problems than it fixed. Last time, I didn't run the patch & the game played a lot better.

Just tore through GUN, at the last showdown w/ Magruder. Bulletproof prick! Yes you can scalp, sorry no reward. Yes you can kill the horses, no I didn't try to scalp the horse. Hold off on "hunting" side missions until you complete your jailbreak & get a bow & arrows. Your kills are worth more. You don't need to limit yourself to bow & arrow for the bear, in fact it's a bad idea.

I still think SA Stories could happen for PSP, in 3 episodes (one each for LS, SF & LV). LCS/VCS worked because the maps/models/graphics would fit on the PSP. GTA4 looks high res, probably would be a lousy port at best.

It's not so much the angle but the altitude they spawn. I get it all the time when they clip buildings, antennas, etc. Had a few drop right in front of me by the LSPD HQ.

The GTO also has a 'Vette 350 under the hood. Not sure what to make of them, I tangled w/ one last fall & my V6 'Stang kept up w/ him up to about 45MPH or so. That's when he finally passed me & I saw the GTO logo on the trunk. NOT impressed, a cold air kit, decent exhaust & reprogram of the computer & I think I could've taken him.

When Tommy rescued Lance I used the Sea Sparrow (heli, yes you can land it near the quonset). Diaz's guys chased me, right off a pier in Viceport. Made the trip to the hospital "relaxed".

Didn't find anything listed in the SA modding guide for SAMI files, suggest you look at the READMEs of several SAMI mods for a consensus on installing. worst case, put them in the same folder as SAMI (not sure, have done my installs manually). Another suggestion, edit the name of your topic to something like "How do I use SAMI?" or similur, otherwise it just looks like another redundant modding question (which gets ignored because the answer is already covered in the MODDING GUIDE. AVG seeks out & destroys any GTA mod I've downloaded that has a key logger function (like GTA SA console). Makes you wonder if people writing these programs actually use them. You'd think you at least have the option of ignoring or flagging the program before it's dumped, or setting a restore point if it is bad. The part that pisses me off is that we need security software. What I'd give for the land address of some of these little pricks who think it's funny to crash someone's machine. They'll MISS the time they spent hanging by their underwear in their own locker.

Don't take it personal, we get a lot of people who blow in & want help patching up a non-working copy they downloaded or "borrowed" from someone. To reset your resolution, start your game & before you load a save go to OPTIONS, from there you should be able to set a different resolution. Anyway, read the rules, etc, welcome & enjoy.

Yeah, I got to looking at that & it's nothing like I thought it would be, it's a script editor specialized in vehicle placement. I downloaded it & BW's "Mission Builder" last weekend & will play around w/ them later.

That sounds like a video issue, the models aren't rendering right. Make sure you have up to date drivers. Is the game "lagging" while you play? Dmagic1wheel mod should be available from any site w/ cars. It tells your game that it's using a car w/ it's own wheels as opposed to the dozen or so already in GTA3.IMG, so a car can have nice wheels. The README is straight forward & install is easy. As I recall, it cures "unhandled exception" in most of the cars you can install.

Wonder if you're gonna have any friends left in the Saints? Just for the fun of it, I ran the last couple missions last night. Forgot what a pain the one w/ the bus was. Hint - find 3 homies w/ AKs or SMGs, be ready to abandon them after you grab the bus. The article in EGM (good read) said Volition is compressing 20 years of growth into a 2-year period. One of the main things I liked about SR was the open map & all the side work (w/ rewards) at the beginning of the game. Nice having decent kit when you start missions. Would like to see that in SR2.

I noticed that the retaliation attacks got pretty intense until I noticed something. When you save, quit & reload your game they stop until you attack another site (on PS2). The worst thing then is having to fix a property that was supposed to be attacked when you saved, in the mean time you can concentrate on other things. If you use the "Super Mario" trick, leave a couple properties in the east half of the map so you can get all the Empire jobs when the map opens.

Jack(ass) Thompson is just another lawyer looking to make a fast busk, in this case by trying to harass R* into a settlement, nothing more. He's trying to make enough "controversy" over violence in video games to shame someone into paying him off.
