If you're on PC, you're good to go. Also look in the DOWNLOADS database for tons of mods & the tools to do them. BACKUP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT BEFORE YOU START!!! Read the README files of the mods. BTW, take a minute & check out the layout & read the RULES (if you haven't already). Welcome & enjoy.

What kind of error message did you get? VC-MP wouldn't load for me because mine is modded (Marina Carpark, almost every car, new weapons, data edits to make it all work).

What did you dislike about GTA 3?
Urbanoutlaw replied to Plo Koon's topic in General GTA3 Discussion
So I'm guessing you played SA or LCS/VCS first? You have to keep GTA3 in perspective, when it came out it was way ahead of any other game in free roaming game play. The biggest thing I didn't like was being limited to a small part of the map in the beginning. I had the PC version for about 10 minutes before I fixed that. -
If you have access to a Disc Doctor, you might try that, or borrow another disc from someone you know. Also try installing on another machine, to confirm it's the disc. Other than that, I got nothing. Sorry I can't be more help.

Don't know, some German pop up covered it & I couldn't get rid of it. Wheelman probably has the best suggestion, set your audio & video to minimums settings, turn OFF anti-aliasing, etc.

What are the controls for the tow truck?
Urbanoutlaw replied to m_sell31's topic in General GTASA Discussion
Bulletproof Patriot? First I've heard of that one, where is it? Back up to the front of the car you want to tow (centered) & use the right thumbstick (up/down) of a PS2 type controller. Same applies to Farm Tractor. -
100% unlocks a few things by CJ's house in Ganton & there is still all the side work. It's also a good chance to play around w/ cheats since you're at 100% & won't have to worry about screwing up your game saving after using a cheat (Saving cheats BEFORE 100% limits you to 99% & may screw up main story missions). A busy road, a machine gun & the "flying cars" cheat (Thanks to MLL for suggesting that one), that's quality entertainment.

Start w/ IPL/map mods. After you BACK UP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT, just add them to your MAPS folder IN data & add the lines to GTA3.DAT (the README should have a line you can copy & paste). Once you're comfortable w/ that, try changing a car for a different one. Again, the README should have the details. If not, we're around.

If you haven't read all the way from first post, take a few & do that. I Bet Sky never thought this one would last this long. The short version is to be yourself & be honest. If you have to BS someone to impress them, they're probably no worth the trouble. If you can make them laugh, that helps. Think of HS relationships as practice & life experience, you have your whole life ahead of you yet.

Do you have a link to it? Sounds interesting. If it's anything like the VC save file editor, you will need a save file & co-ords mod. Once you have the locations (XYZ format), you open your save file & plug in the co-ords & car ID. You should also be able to edit existing locations & car IDs (change a TAXI to a Cheetah, etc). Odie's Stunt Park included a save file that had cars placed in his park. The VC editor also needed a DLL file to work (README had details) The best thing about the editor (VC) was that it could edit an existing save file & not affect the MAIN.SCR. Point me to this & I'll see if I can get it sorted. EDIT - Found it & BW's Mission builder. I'll play around w/ them this weekend.

Look at the ground, say "DOH!" Don't feel bad, I found out in my younger days a '77 VW Rabbit (Golf) has NO off road capability. I claimed I hit a pothole so insurance replaced the transmission mounts.

Get a silencer from your arms dealer ASAP! Grab a Mojohave or other large closed vehicle & park w/ your back against a wall (so enemies don't sneak up behind you) & shoot them from the vehicle. The silencer & shooting from inside a car keep the cops from noticing you. Also, the BODOG Stampede doesn't draw much (if any) cop attention. I think I'm down to the last mission, own everything, now it's off to Bolivia.

thanks for the nod. Haven't played w/ script edits in VC, but I think all you would need to do is copy & paste the P&S code & alter the XYZ co-ords to make it work. Moo-Mapper just places models.

Aussie Muscle? sounds good.

BONZIA!!! Suzuki Escudo FTW! http://media.diariomotor.com/imagenes/suzu...udo-salvaje.jpg If the 1.6 in my 96 Tracker (AKA Suzuki Grand Vitara) 4-door ever goes, I'll probably replace it w/ a Ford 3.8 V6. 200 HP should be just right for Loki (my Tracker, named for the god of mischief). I've heard of kits to drop in a GM 4.3 V6 but the later ('98 & up) 3.8 has a much better factory intake. I thought about a V8 but I don't want to twist the frame.

Since we're bumping this (that's cool), has anyone heard a final release date yet? In the mean time I'll probably load up Godfather on the 16th. Not the same, but it'll take some of the sting out of no GTA4 until next year.

I'm sure I've said before, I'm hetro (in case that got missed), but I've never understood gay bashing. "Dale" is a local person that came out in high school & had it rough ever since. Dale used to be a gay prostitute (in a red neck Midwestern town) & one night, a customer found out they got something other than they payed for. Dale filled out the short black dress in all the right places & passed for a fairly hot blonde. Lost half his/her (depends on day & mood) teeth & got stabbed in the throat, barely survived the incident & later was diagnosed w/ aids. A couple years ago, Dale & family ended up as my next door neighbors & were about the best ones I could ask for. They wanted the same thing we did, to be left alone. Still see dale from time to time (in remission, I think). Andrew91 - Glad that worked out for you, that one was probably the hardest to do.

Well, the "critics" will really love "Saint's Row 2". You can play as a female psychopath bent on violence. If the feminist complain about anything, it'll be that the predominately male characters make females look weak & can't be as strong or violent as males. I remember a series of commercials from about the time SA was released showing clips of GTA where females were killed/pimped or "used" by the lead characters encouraging females to stand up for themselves & not be "used/owned" or something similar. I'll restate, female cops (& soldiers) are a part of real life, so they should be expected.

Who thinks JT could finally kill GTA?
Urbanoutlaw replied to Connor's topic in General GTA Series Chat
All J(A)T is doing is generating publicity for GTA & other games like it. Maybe Nintendo should send him a Gameboy or something to give him a hobby. -
Hummer H1s in Australia? That's easy, just tell everyone your hiding Bin Lauden, you'll see plenty of them! I know, that was wrong....my bad. Seriously though, do you know why the H1 is not allowed? I've heard Australian law only permits right hand drive cars on their public roads.

That's pretty funny, until you blow up a $600 cat-back exhaust (or better yet, the exhaust in your parents new car). Then it's hilarious.

x2 (Specifically rich kids) I hope daddy buys them a brand new car for them to total. Wouldn't that be a crying shame. I hate when Mommy/Daddy are elected officials, especially when they buy their 16-year-old retard a new IROC (Camaro) & the little idget wraps it around a tree & transforms himself into a drooling quadriplegic. Then they wheel them into the state Assembly/Senate & use their own vegged out kid to shove a helmet law down our throats (actually happened here).
-
They're your parents & will still love you no matter what (unless they're really screwed up). Just be yourself & be honest. Peace out.

Loosely related - Has anyone extracted the MAIN.SCR form VCS/LCS on PSP. I'm interested in the source code.

More interested in little girl's mommy.
