Okay, so I finished the game & decided to start a new one. I noticed something on the mission where you steal the armored car from Gaspar. The heli that chases you crashes just west of the marina & leaves 2 SAWs in the street. I got out & grabbed one but couldn't get back from the bank fast enough to get the second (this is before you can buy the "driver" henchman who can bring you a car). This should make the drive-in take over go a little differently.

Throw in a link to the original topic so we know what problem you're talking about. Or just have it merged.

MLL & Mike, you just made my day a little brighter, I can almost forget I fractured my hand punching a hardwood door frame. We have puppies going up for sale & one of them jumped under my foot while I was trying to get across the kitchen. Next thing I know, I have this little furball at my feet "YIPE YIPE YIPE!" Great, another vet bill I can't afford, on top of this puppy being hurt. I'm funny that way, a human pisses me off & I can be a sadist, but a small animal bothers me. So without thinking, I punched the nearest inanimate object, the doorway of the kitchen. That's why I'm on at 6:00AM & not asleep. Was very relieved that she was more scared than hurt, but dammit it still hurts like hell!

I know there's the whole Brit/Yank rivalry thing but I can't see a foreseeable circumstance where the UK & US wouldn't be friends. Just for the record, I think overall "best" military would have to go to Israel. I don't know about you, but I'd hate to have to face down a Merkiva. I read through this & it's Bush this, Bush that, it's all Bush's fault, Bush wants to take over Canada, etc. North Korea - run by a lunatic bent on nuclear power. Iran - run by a bunch or religious lunatics bent on nuclear power. Al Qaeda - a bunch or religious lunatics bent on destroying anything not meeting their idea of a perfect "Muslim" world. When the Soviet Union fell approximately 100 suitcase sized nukes came up missing, probably stolen by the Russian mob to be sold to the highest bidder. If WWIII happens, those are going to be your main concerns. Ironically, the US decision to drop the A-bomb on Japan in 1945 came only after military experts looked at the invasion of Okinawa & decided a conventional assault on the Japanese mainland would result in at least 1 million casualties & the war lasting at least one more year. (Bush had no part in that decision.) I own an AK-47 & an AR-15 (civilian version of the M-16) If all hell brakes loose, I grab both. The AR is just a better rifle, period. I take the AK as back up because anyone who would attack American soil (they get in THIS far, we're screwed) will probably carry the AK & would be a source of free 7.62x39 ammo. The problems w/ the M-16 in Vietnam stemmed from it being a new piece of equipment in the field & them needing to be kept cleaner than the M-14 soldiers were used to. The addition of a "forward assist" (a button to push the bolt into lock position) cured this problem. AKs are reasonably reliable & cheaper, so they're the first choice of someone on a tight budget, or terrorists.

If you're talking about Odie's intercity highway, you need to add the model of the road to the GTA3.IMG (look for tutorials) & add an IPL to the appropriate file. Tutorial for installing cars to GTA3 (same basics for any models) - http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12625 Odie had a good README for his mod, if yours didn't have one then go to the DOWNLOADS section under GTA3 & look in MAPS for a Liberty/Intercity Highway mod by MsCooldude (or similar). A good '70s rock station playing Bad Company, Black Sabbath (Ozzy era), Hendrix, Zeppelin & stuff like that. Ride down on someone blasting "Iron Man", THAT'S quality entertainment.

Taking down ped criminals should have some kind of reward, like police "karma" points, where they ignore small infractions like bumping (not outright collision) police cars & such.

That's an easy data edit in WEAPONS.DAT, should not matter which version of SA you're running. Don't forget to back it up first.

Could you point us to that mod? I'd like a real plane in GTA3.

Just looked in on who's been on today & saw VV has a birthday, so happy birthday to you!

Right now, I'm not playing VC because I have a problem w/ my video card (which plays SA just fine, figure that one out). Are you trying to run VC in a window? I think I had problems w/ a similar mod for SA, so if you are then try reinstalling w/out the "Window" mod. On that note, do you have any mods installed? Glancing back through, I noticed you said you couldn't change your resolution. To change resolution in VC, go to OPTIONS before you load your save (or start new game), the save file keeps track of the setting.

WRONG answer. Chris does this out of his own pocket, receiving NO compensation. Meanwhile, he has to eat, pay rent, pursue studies, hold a job (to pay for all the above) & somewhere in the middle of all that, find a little time to sleep. The fact that he's that selective about who he has help out on matters such as this should demonstrate that he DOES care. You probably shouldn't give Gerard (or any of the moderators) any attitude either (Chris' right hand, similar concerns). Just a heads up.

Are you using SA V1 or V2? I know in VC, language makes no difference for models, etc & any DATA edits are in English. Fact is, some of the best cars out there come w/ Russian READMEs. I don't see any reason to expect SA to be any different.

You should cease & desist IMMEDIATELY!!! This type of slander should NOT be tolerated under ANY circumstances. You should also apologize to assholes for falsely grouping them w/ J(A)T, they have feelings too.
