The game definitely lived up to it's potential. Even a year after the release of the 3rd GTA game since, people still play & mod it. We kicked that one around a while back & I determined that Denise would flip out & stab him 37 times. He would survive the initial attack only to be hit by a bus while escaping.

Fair credit where credit's due. That Subaru started out w/ a turbo 2.4 (or close), about 150 CID & they can pull over 500 HP out of it. Boost must be insane. The driver's no slouch either. His drifts got a little wide at about 2 1/2 minutes into the clip (harshed the plywood) but other than that excellent driving. The guy on the Segway must really trust him. Now be a good lad & find me some good clips of Mustangs.

There are a few like this, but none currant. GTASA. It was close & I loved Vice City, but SA got my vote because of all the sidework you can do & redo. GTA3 was also great & even though it lacked bikes & aircraft, it was a landmark game in that you were to do what you wanted in the game. Games made now are still being held to standards Claude set in the original Liberty City.

Yeah, her stepdaughter bought it & then she went rabid, trashed her old room & stole a bunch stuff, AFTER she begged my sister to get custody of her from her own dad (real POS). So the local impound calls my sister & asked what to do w/ HER Taurus. Seems the kid forgot she had it titled in my sister's name for insurance purposes & didn't trust her own dad. Aint Karma a bitch. Most Tauruses & sables come w/ a base 3.0 that's just about right for them. The 3.8 is a bitch to work on because they fit a little tight & almost any engine work is just easier to do if you pull the whole drivetrain (not as hard as it sounds) & do it on the floor. However if you get creative, Mustang V6s (mid '90s to '04) are the same 3.8 & there's plenty of parts. Supercharged Ford Taur'Stang SHO, FTW. The SHO 3.6 uses heads designed by Yamaha Racing & they're little beasts. There was also a DOHC 3.0 but I think Ford quit using them because of cam bearing issues, they were more interested in reliability.

The short version is that your operating system had a conflict w/ MANAGER.EXE & shut it down, still annoying but better than locking up. Take a minute & use your search to find MANAGER.EXE, see what it's part of. If you can get fully booted before you get the message, hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE (Windows XP) for your TASK MANAGER & look for it under PROCESSES, see what USER is identified. I'm running XP pro w/ service pack 2 & it doesn't show up so I don't think it's part of your OS.

Agreed, surprised staff hasn't shut this down over flaming. Gas prices piss me off. We finally get them back to a reasonable level & the OPEC'ers announces they want to cut the production again. Appearently they don't have enough solid gold toilets & million dollar sport scars. Now the US has a president who's worried more about looking cool than the countries best interest. We finally get the bans on offshore drilling lifted & he'll probably put them back. Alaskan oil? Nope, we can' ask the moose to take two steps to the right. Eastern US coal? An exact quotes the day before being elected, "The very nature of my plan will cause electric rates to skyrocket." & "You can start a coal operation but it will go bankrupt." That should piss off anybody.

Newer Tauruses get outlaw points because a lot of them are flex fuel, meaning when I get sick of OPEC I can build a still in my basement & run them of moonshine. Makes a lot of sense at $ (insert insane number here) a gallon. I have a 2000 I bought for $1, needs a transmission. I fix it myself It's an the road for under $500.

Or do you have any mods installed (particularly script)? Something is preventing the script from loading anything after the cutscene. In the case of a script mod, there's something in literally half a million lines of code missing. A conflict would just freeze the game & you'd get the message "Sorry, Windows encountered a problem, blah blah blah. You would have to know what was changed in the script just to know where to look for what went wrong. It could be as simple as mixing up a comma w/ a period or a missed space. Sometimes people will post a mod w/out properly testing it. If it's because of a cheat, the game's been out for years & we still don't fully understand how they will affect the game. Zmoonchild has dug into it a bit but we don't see much of him these days. The problem w/ cheats is that you could use one early in the game (like in the first missions in Los Santos) & it won't show the effects until as late as your return to LS (most cause problems in the middle of LV missions). But this way saves old lazy so & so's like me the trouble. I hadn't caught the part about improved physics. Do you know if that's to all of GTA4 or just the LAD expansion (will the bikes in regular GTA4 be affected)?

At least they don't want to kill you. We're coming up on the worst time of the year in the US. Tax time. Now we have a president who continually appoints people to fill major positions that are....TAX CHEATS! Dude, WTF?!?!?! The guy now in charge of the IRS (agency charged w/ collection of taxes & enforcement of tax laws) knowingly evaded nearly $50k until he was appointed. Tom Daschel got the nod to be secretary of Health & Human Services (welfare) until it was revealed he owed $125k, a bulk of that under law HE HELPED DRAFT! Almost every day for the last week or so there's been at least one Obama minion that has tax problems. But this country is so wrapped up in the epic Obama joygasm that it doesn't seem to matter, these guys just "made a mistake" or it was "a hiccup". Hannity or Limbaugh miss one nickle & they'll keep Gitmo open just for them. You expect me to pay.....why? Screw that, I'm not paying. What department do I get to run?

From what I've seen, yes. Any Aussie Holdens that make it into US car mags usually have a small block Chevy. I remember a Holden ute (like an El Camino) from that had the original 265 (or so) in front & spliced into the drive shaft in the back was a blown 350. You guys do some pretty wild stuff. EB - Up here there's plenty of Camaros & new GTOs (Manaro w/ Corvette engine) but the big dog is late model Ford Mustangs w/ supercharged 5.4 DOHCs. Would love to see a shoot w/ the CVR8 you mentioned.

Currently living in Stillwater, via Saint's Row 2. I'm rebuilding my co-op save after it got overwrote. Lost over $3mil, all my co-op progress (nearly half) 110+ hours of gaming, 85 cars including ALL chopshop cars, all save houses, a penis..... Hit & miss finding people wanting to play who haven't saved w/ cheats (disables achievements on X360). I just don't have the heart to ask L-RiC to help babysit dumb Donnie again.

Good. He can use that epic jump shot to solve foreign policy issues. Seriously speaking, irregardless of what I think of him politically, I think it's a good idea to have a place to kick back when he needs to just unwind & he can get a little quality time w/ his kids. It also says he has a better attitude about video games, definitely not a Jack(ass) Thompson.

First, welcome & enjoy. Take a minute & look at the layout of the site & read the rules, drop by "Introduce Yourself" if you want & say hello. I'm guessing you're still early in the game. You're fight about what file you need to edit, it's WEAPON.DAT in the DATA folder. If you look in there you'll notice most weapons have multiple entries. That's because of the experience system that steadily increases your accuracy, damage & range as you use a weapon. You want field "R", where the value is set around 0.65-0.75 for most weapons. Set them all to 1.25 (or the value for the bottom line for each) to improve the accuracy. STEP 1: BACK UP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! (You would be surprised how many people make that mistake.)

Not so much of a cheat but every time you do a driving stunt (near miss, oncoming traffic, etc) or combat trick (gang kill, head shot, nut shot, etc) you gain a little respect. Between that & activities/diversions you can rack up respect & get to unlimited respect fairly quickly. Holdups, hostages & mugging also rack a little & lead to free food, a nice quadbike & unlocking a special homie.

For what it's worth, you're not alone, Huck. In the late '80s/early' 90s Disney sought & got restraining orders against a guy who had Disney characters tattooed on himself. He was a bit of a celebrity on the tattoo circuit & made a few bucks in appearance fees (for the amount & quality of work, not just that they were Disney art). Is that why you changed your sig? (New one is sharp.)
