Just picked up July '07 issue of OXM. Has short article GTA 4, mostly rehash of what we already know - level of detail, distinctiveness of peds - stuff like that, page 22. One new bit, R* confirmed Niko can swim. Surf's up.

I was a total VC addict till got my hands on SA. Getting the PC (V1) version only pushed it along for the hacking possibilities. GTA 3 was quantum leap in video games, so it counts for some4thing. Can't wait to see what they do w/ IV

You should have a MY DOCUMENTS on your desk top. In there should be GTA VICE CITY USER FILES. If you have save files you want to keep, create a TEMP or BACKUP folder & put the old ones in there, otherwise just drop the new ones in. This is also where the Replay files are. The GTA_VC.SET should be your controller settings. Good Luck

Dusted off Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2, tuning cars I hadn't driven before (have a Great trick for making money fast, no cheats). BTW, is there a thread on getting replays off the PS2 & onto the PC, I've got a couple I'd like to send over to U-Tube for laughs.

TV, a little. Have cable & a DVR (like Tivo, records to a hard drive instead of tapes), so I get these music channels. Not like VH1 or MTV, just music w/ still pics & little trivia lines. I'll put on smooth jazz or something like that to sleep. Like the band "Back to the Bone". Quick search didn't find the band, just a CD by another artist w/ that title. A loosely related story. Last year while delivering Pizza, I had a delivery to a gentleman's club (All nude). I thought, this'll be a nice diversion. I get there & they let me int the club (that happens a lot when you have a pizza w/ you) & while they were rounding up the money I enjoyed a little quality entertainment. She looked alot like the girl in Godfather's sig. She's on the last song of her set & wearing nothing but a "come hither" smile (that happens a lot when you have a pizza w/ you) & it hits me- I GOT KIDS THAT AGE!!! And that's probably what they look like! Insert LOTS of cussing here. :pissedred: Total buzzkill. So I'm like "$26.97, thank you, have a nice day." in Ben Stein (spelling?) monotone. I should've expected it back when I realized Miss May (or any other centerfold model) was born after I graduated from High School.

Read somewhere the 9/11 was exactly the reason Darkel was removed. One of his missions involved flying a plane into a building. Glad I came across this. randalllosey - if you're still around, any chance you'd post the script code for that or have the original R* code? If I used any of your code in a released mod, you would get proper credit.

The AK (in 7.62x 39) has an effective range of about 300m, at it's best under 200. More than that you want something a little bigger, 30.06, .303, 7.62 x 54 (Russian). You're not planning anything bad, are you? (just kidding).

Those are nice. But don't knock the AK, there's a reason (unfortunately) they're the #1 choice of terrorist worldwide. Cheap to make, cheap readily available ammo, easy to maintain... It's a good backup for my AR-15. I know the parent permission thing sounds corny, but if I don't cover my ass I'll start getting E-mails from Hillary Clinton & her idiot lawyers or some such. Nice pics, but aren't those JPGs being interpreted by the card in the machine that's viewing them? Not a jab, just I'd need to be running your card to see what you see.

That would be sweet. Hopefully, no one at R* will think that's copying & go w/ it. ps3 player - I presume your playing it on PS3, how far are you? How's the game working (Crashes, glitches, bugs)?

By mp3, do you mean something like an I-Pod? Or are you talking about the media player in your PC? For the portable, you should have USB support so you connect to your computer & transfer it form there. Playing it is only a matter of having it in a format your portable supports, (like .AVI) etc. On your PC, just click the file you want to watch & your default player should open & start it for you. If not, look for your player online & check for updated CODECs. If you don't like your default player, right click & select OPEN WITH option. it should pull up several to choose from (new software often comes w/ players). If you like that one, repeat the "OPEN WITH" step & this time check the box at the bottom of the list that says "ALWAYS USE THE SELECTED PROGRAM TO OPEN THIS KIND OF FILE" option Either way, hope this pits you on the right track.

I think this is the time line. VCS was in '84 VC - '86 SA -'92 LCS - '97 ( or '98) GTA 3 '01 (or '02) Forgot the LCS cars in previous post, would like to see some of them returning, like the Ghost.

The problem is CJ isn't just a skin, he's a set of parts to make up the player. Individual parts for the head, torso & arms legs, etc. It's how he can change clothes. Look in the downloads section for new player models & try to contact the modelers. Recently I've seen FUN GT around the forums, & you could try JVT or Switch Designs. Hope this puts you on the right track.
