  1. I'm running the PS2 Version. I'm thinking the red BF Injection is on the beach about straight East of the Save house & Fairgrounds, grab the Police Maverick from the Washington Beach PD & look. In my case, I drove a paramedic around to injured pedestrians. Good Luck.
  2. I played around w/ this stuff a lot in GTAVC, but SA should be close. This should be an easy fix, start the game & put the car you want to edit in a garage. Save game & Quit. BACK UP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! You need to look at the file Vehichles.IDE in your data folder and open it. Find the name of the car you replaced (the original car, not the new one). Go to the end of that line & look for the 2 next to last numbers. For example, Landstalker is 0.768, 0.768 -these are the wheel size parameter (I think Front & Back). For smaller wheels enter a lower number (for example 0.600, 0.600.) Save changes & Close file. Start game & go to your Garage to see if the car looks right to you. This should point you in the right direction. Good Luck
  3. GTA 3 was a quantum leap in games & each incarnation improves on that. Vice City introduced Bikes & Helis & San Andreas went way beyond. Still, it's fun to dust it off & re-visit Liberty from time to time.
  4. There's also the trunk of a car, throw in the extras and pull them out when you need them. Make it to a savehouse & you can transfer them to a locker. If Nico has the clothing options of SA, one upgrade is usable pockets. A good leather trench could hide a pair of Mossberg 590 riot guns nicely.
  5. Some of the cars are Obvious & Some just don't exist in the real world, so I'm guessing at some of these. The names i've assigned are what they most closely resemble. If you want to switch the cars, Start w/ the Downloads section. If you're still looking, do a search (google or the like) for GTSSA CARS. Good Luck
  6. Have you tried manually installing - it's not as hard as you would expect. You need an IMG tool (in downloads under tools). It's fairly easy & self explainitory. Open gta3.img & Faggio.txd & Faggio.dff, rename them to OEMFaggio (.txd & .dff). import the new .dff & .txd (be sure they're named Faggio (.txd & .dff)). Rebuild your archive. you should be good to go If you want to replace another vehichle w/ the NRG, it has to be a bike or the game will crash. Good luck.
  7. I'll put together a list covering most of the cars & post it within a few days.
  8. I can help you w/ that, send me your E-mail address (click on my name to pull up messenger). I should have a v1 savefile for "Learning to fly" as one of the first desert missions. BTW, did you want all Golds or just passed?
  9. Carmen Electra is cool & all, but my GF buys me GTA & beer. Do the math, GF wins every time.
  10. I like the fines, that makes sense. At 7 stars, they call in the hunters. At 8, they send out MgGruff the crimedog & when you die or are captured, you go to court & are sentenced to be Louise's (VCS) sister's loveslave.
  11. Okay, here goes. You want the .50 cal (portable), that's real - the US Army played around w/ that in WWII. Instead of holding it like an M-60, it was fired over the shoulder like a Bazoka. 1 man fired, a 2nd reloaded. Pistols - My favorite is my own Smith & Wesson model 29 .44 Magnum w/ 8 3/8" barrel & nickle plated. Forget 911, you just dialed 666 & I picked up the phone!! That would rule in GTA. Rifles - A good 30/30 like a Marlin 336. -------- Ruger Mini 14 & AC556 Variant. Sniper - Russian Dragonov SVD: REACH OUT & REALLY TOUCH SOMEONE! A Backpack - You have a Desert Eagle & someone drops a Silenced pistol, throw the Silenced into the backpack & keep the Eagle. This could work w/ a weapons locker at home or sell extra weapons to a pawn shop. Lastly - Energy weapons (Wait a minute, 'dis 'da future, where all 'da PHASERS!!!).
  12. I used & abused the police Maverick. If I'm stuck on land I go w/ a Sanchez.
  13. Take the existing car export feature, but when you complete you get Lockout tools (Slimjim). No more locked cars!! (it is GRAND THEFT AUTO!!)
  14. I am hoping for the territory element w/ a little empire building.
  15. Does anyone have 100% complete on the PS2 version? I have- All Story Missions All Asset Forfieture Vehichles Ambulance, Air Ambulance, Firetruck, Fire heli, Vigalanti. All Rampages All Unique Stunts Both Hovercraft races 4 PCJ time trials All BMX, Sanchez, Quadbike & Jetski Beach Patrol (Paramedic) BMX at mall Sanchez/Jetski/SeaSparrow @ Lighthouse Crims on Wings Crims on Water Wings Hyman ODT Airport Heli tour Hunter target course All 9 street races All Red Balloons All Empire Properties (High Roller, $116,700 a day) What Am I Missing?!?
  16. The Official Strategy Guide gets no points. It says PS2 on the cover, but it's just a reprint of the PSP book. The map showed a rampage near Bryan Forbes' mission pickup. It actually is just south of the downtown dirt track. Watch for another post & I'll supply the missing locations.
  17. You might look for something called "Skip DR". You might have a small scratch that you can't see. These things are great, they re-surface your disks & cost about $20 (US). Use them on CDs & DVDs. Good Luck.
  18. If you're playing the PC version, you could use this trick. BACK UP ANY FILES YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! In the Data folder is a file named CARGRP.DAT, open it with notepad (or any text editor) and add the car you want to one of the gangs (I gave the Buccaneer to Cesar's gang). With this trick, my criminals drive the hard to find cars, OGF ride bikes, so on... If you are using a console (PS2 or X-Box), try San Fierro, form the airport to Jizzy's, they show up in traffic there. Good Luck
  19. I need a better hobby, have started playing w/ script mods & now my dance scores are right around 4000, although I'm using a different controller.
  20. I can explain that if the map you used was in the Official Strategy Guide- A lot of the Items are actually in interiors that aren't really inside the buildings. They're about 1000 meters (?) above the maps, beyond the limits of aircraft. I know that's not much help, but at least now you know why. Good Luck.
  21. Look Close, if you didn't respond to an attack, the area will still show green - but with a slight yellow tint. I ran into this (just today as a matter of fact). Also look for Vagos standing around in a taken area. Good Luck.
  22. I presume you are playing the mission "Dam & Blast". Unless your game is glitched, it should be the same button as getting out of a car. Are you using any cheats or a modded plane? Also, have you edited Handling .CFG?
  23. Plan B- Step 1 Complete Firefighter missions as well as Paramedic & Vigalante (this makes you fireproof) & load up on molotovs. Step 2 finish flight school & get the Hunter, (or grab the Sea Sparrow north of your airstrip). Use it to gain entrance to KACC & strafe soldiers. This Stratagy made this mission fairly easy for me. PS- If you really want the Minigun, look on top of the west end of the railraod bridge between San Feirro & the desert. Good Luck
  24. Latest development- I played through "Nines & AK's" then loaded the save of "Big Smoke" & saw no sigh of the glitch. If Anyone else has this glitch, suggest you do the same. Good Luck.
  25. PS- I'll watch this thread for response, I'm still getting the hang of forums so I would appreciate patience.
