  1. I think he's looking for something like a cheat code. Here's a handy tool that I like - http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/file.php?id=516 You could also use the ENNEX feature in an IPL file, I've had good luck w/ that. Best of all, it's a simple data edit so you don't need to play around w/ the MAIN.SCR & your saves will still work.
  2. Not sure if you can take it directly from the play disc, couldn't hurt to try. If your game is modded, copy it into another folder (call it GTAVC BACKUP or similar) & wipe the the original, then defrag your drive (Windows is a little lazy & will re-use the old files if it finds them). Once re-installed, copy the un-modded files to another folder (this one named GTAVC OEM) & start copying your modded files back over the new install to get your mods back. It's a little work but you will now have a complete set of un-modded files. I think the tool mentioned above was the one I played around w/ a couple years back, it worked okay.
  3. Some good ideas, especially the car mods. I'd also like to see the return of reward weapons at your savehouses, based on using them in missions & then they're yours. BTW, Welcome & enjoy.
  4. If you're into GTA then you'll want to check out Saint's Row (& SR2) & the Godfather. A little different, bot great games. For racing I strongly recommend Testdrive Unlimited (recently about $15 from local game store) & the first race game that had an old school Cobra that handled decently. If you have Xbox Live (new decks w/ a hard drive should have silver, many games include a code for 1 month of Gold) you can download some decent free cars, Similar downloads available for SR & Godfather. There's also a lot of demos on the XBL Marketplace so you can try a lot of games before you lay out any $$$ ( ) Of course there's also GTA4 (I'm guessing you have that already for the PS3, but there's the DLC package for X360).

    Saints Row!

Saint's Row was the main reason I put aside my hate of MS & bought the X360, now I'm glad I did. SR was (still is) a great game. It proves the old about cars, Competition improves the the breed. There are definite improvements in vehicle & character customization & I like being able to buy cribs + there's now bikes, boats & aircraft. Volition hit the ground running w/ SR & I look forward to more from them.
  6. Option 2 is if your Mannana still works, copy that .COL & rename it as BLISTAC.COL & use it. Not perfect but close enough to work.
  7. No, they didn't. They added the "ani-mod" code to cover their asses in the event of another "Hot Coffee" situation. Now they can honestly they took reasonable steps to prevent it but someone broke their code & worked around it. Shame on all you little hackers. If they didn't want the modding they would use compiled files like "Scarface", which to date I haven't seen any mods for. By keeping the open directory structure, they are allowing modding, they're just not officially approving of it for legal reasons.
  8. I parked a Maverick next to Playboy's place & it saved in the parking spot. Disregard, I thought this was for GTA4.
  9. My cat, Boscoe. I added a caption to above, seems to fit -

    Saints Row 2

    Here's a glitch pic -
  11. The first Tuesday of this month proved it would. Do you have a room to let?
  12. Just point out that some people will go to great lengths for a hoax, like all the fake screenshots that popped up before GTA4. Most of those had cars from Saint's Row. Until it's in your hand, be a little suspicious.
  13. Yeah, I can be like that, doing things just because people tell me I can't. About a hundred years ago, someone told a couple bicycle mechanics from Ohio it was impossible to build an airplane. No real relevance, just noting human nature.
  14. Just found this in another topic (thanks for the heads up, Spider-Vice) - http://www.gtalegende.com/imgdivers/1227990201ReadMe.txt If it's real, it says single player won't have to be online.
  15. At least it looks legit. How reliable is the source?
  16. # 4500. Still old. Still evil. Still here.
  17. Source? (no, your chemistry teacher doesn't count.)
  18. The biggest differences are the GTO being left-hand drive & has a Corvette engine in it. What does that say about the 'Vette engine when one of these can barely take my (V6) 'Stang running light to light?
  19. Sounds about right for an expansion pack (basically what the DLC will be).
  20. Requiring someone to be online to play a single player game is a bit excessive. It also turns playing a game into work because before you can play you have to make sure your anti-virus is currant & run various scans constantly. Yes, there's software that does that automatically but they take up memory & other rescorces that affect gameplay. If R* & TT really want to impose that on their customers, EA can have 'em.
  21. "Surfin' w/ the Alien" by Joe Satriani. Excellent driving music.
