Can my PC run GTA IV?

What about my (new) specs?

Teh Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40Ghz

Memory: 3GB

GFX Card: nVidia GeForce 8500GT 512MB

HDD: 250GB

Should be fine. HD space doesn't really matter unless you use VRam and even then... It's better to have a quicker hard drive (They come in different speeds)

Your video card is much better than mine and your processor is about 8x as good! Just keep it well maintained and try to get some more RAM ;) If I had that added to my PC. I'd be finishing a days worth of tasks in an hour!

Intel Pentium M processor CPU 1.73GHZ

512MB RAM

ATI MOBILITY RADEON X700(64MB)

Windows XP Proffesional

CANT GTA IV RUN ON LOW SETTINGS

IT CAN RUN GAMES LIKE TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED,FIFA 09,ETC

First of all, nobody likes cruise control on caps. I can't imagine how you can run those games without lagging in the menu.

i wanted to know weather i could run gta4

my specs are:

Intel Core 2 duo

1 gb ram

Nvidia geforce 7100gs 512 mb

25 gig's of space

What kind of Core 2 Duo? and with that Gfx card, probably not. It's a really lowendcard. So you could upgrade that one

I'm planning to buy a notebook with this specs:

Intel DualCore T2330

3gb Ram DDR2 667Mhz

160GB Harddisk

Nvidia Geforce 9300M Graphics.

DVDRW Duallayer

Could it Play GTA4 on low settings?

now, i have updated my rig, so does anyone think i can pull of medium now?

Windows XP Professional SP2

Windows Vista Ultimate SP1

Intel Pentium 4 HT 2.80GHz 800FSB 512k

1024MB DDR PC3200 Crucial Dual Channel

XFX GeForce 8600GT 512mb PCI-e 16x

SoundMax Digital Audio

120GB 7200RPM HDD

i can now run UT3 maxxed, and that new game PURE maxxed. i am having much more confidence in how well my system will stand up to GTA IV now!

I have a better chance of running GTA 4 at your settings than you do because of 3 things

1. I have the better single core head to head.

2. I have double the memory at 2 gigs dual channel

3. the 8600 GT is barely faster than the 6800 GT my old card. Mines is the 9600 GT

still awaiting a reply lol. am i being ignored or what lol.

1.66ghz core 2 duo

1gb ddr2 ram

nvidia geforce go 7300 (128 onboard + up to 384mb turbocache or whatever u wanna call it)

120gb sata hdd (dunno how this matters as long as i have lots of space lol)

i dont care if i cant run with aa or high settings. would i be able to run 640x480 low settings, no aa etc...bare minimum?

ok appreciated. you know i posted twice before on the previous page nobody answered lol...

yeah. when i was choosing the laptop (it was a xmas present for me) my dad told me he wanted a laptop for work, so just needed to have decent storage and be portable etc, i wasnt looking for gaming power (cos it was more of a school thing for notes n shit), if i woulda got the F3JV or M instead of C lol, $200 more and woulda had a 7600 and 2ghz core 2....ah well.

turbocache (powermizer nvidia calls it i think) makes a HUGE difference. if i play san andreas with no turbocache, it lags like a bitch, but if i plug in the ac adaptor (full turbocache) it runs perfect, no lag at all...its a pretty cool technology i think, sure its not great, but i mean, laptops never really were meant for gaming (unless you wanna spend like 3k, even still battery is a issue)

I would appreciate if someone could tell me what chance I have to make the game work and if it works on what settings it would work on low or medium as I don't beleive that it would work on high.

Intel® Pentium® D CPU 2.66GHz

RAM 1GB

Windows XP sp2

Radeon X1300/X1550

I would also appreciate if someone could tell me how bad the video card is. Thinking of buying a new system anyway. Just not sure should I buy it before GTA IV or not. Thanks for advance.

You can't even run GTA IV at those settings.

Get a 3GB RAM, some great Quad-Core and a better GFX Card.

I think the RAM you got is decent enough if you ask me, probably if you have the monies to upgrade it, buy another 1GB of ram just to top it off. The processor though is fail, something like Intel Core 2 Duo would be fine, or if you have the chance to, a Quad Core processor would be even more better, that is if you have the money. For the Graphics card though, I think you will definitely need to upgrade, because GTA IV may not even be able to run it at all. I've never really had any experience with ATi Radeon cards at all, but if you do get enough money to upgrade, get the 4850 since thats apparently a high end card from what I've heard. If not, get a nVIDIA GeForce 9600GT if you're more familiar with nVIDIA.

Oh and if you really want to experience GTA IV full in Dx10 then get Vista.

Ok what about if I would have these settings as its the computer I'm thinking of buying.

AMD Tricore Phenom 8400

RAM 4 GB

Windows Vista

ATI Radeon HD 3650

I would think this might do the recomended settings or would it.

Your videocard isnt the best, but i guess it works for medium/high settings, and your processor and Ram are very good, and at least you can play with Dx10 which probably makes a huge difference:p

Radeon X1300/X1550

Same card as I have currently.

Yeah I did notice as I did try to find if someone would consider it as a good card or not. As many games are just above it in minimum or recomended requirements.

Yeah, it barely plays TF2, but it does play Counter Strike source at 150+ FPS at high. It plays HL2 at a good FPS aswell.

It wont hold up up with the upcoming games though.
