888ball
well me and my friend bored as ever decided to see how far we could get on GTA3 in a day, i was preety intrigued to see all the characters and scenes again, i observed tony cipriani closely i was rather confused because Luigi call pronounces tonys second name as [sipriani] and tony calls himself [kipriani], just to clear something up which is the real pronounciation (eek spelling!) Spaz The Great
I pronounce it with an "S". Just.... Out of instinct?
Chris
I guess it would be best to ask a native Italian speaker this question because we're all just making assumptions.
Righty
His name is Cipriani. C can be pronounced as S or K. In GTA III, didn't they always say it like Sipriani?
888ball
luigi did but tony himself said k i think its just down to the voice actors reading of a script on their own and not meeting with the others
johnnythegamer
I'm Italian, it's both ways. Most likely Sipriani, but i guess tony knows his own name and in italian, like let say rashcella (RA-SHELL-A) could be also (RA-SCHEL-A) get it? Also, k and s do sound not similar but, are two sounds of the letter c, thats what he probably meant C (k) - Cake - Kake C (s) - Face - Fase Edited July 9, 2005 by johnnythegamer
tyler
i call him sipriani that's the way they usually say it and its the way they say it in the trailer
