So if you re-insert the cable it fixes the problem...but without doing that it doesnt work? If so, that's pretty strange. try reinstall your sound drivers, not much else I can recommend.

not sure what specifically, obviously something in the new vice city 2007 mod. vice city gets unhandled exceptions a lot if you use any script editors (like those script files with unlim ammo/health , anything that replaces main.scm) or trainers and sometimes with vehicle mods. happened to me a bit when i played vice city with that "ultimate vice city" mod.

not sure why, but NZ is recommended even though im in australia :S whatever. i got new net btw too, ADSL2+ but we only get like 7.5mbps. its better than the ~5 i got with cable , but we got 80gb downloads rather than 36gb. and also its $15/month cheaper

hmm yah sometimes it depends either they were bullied, they're just bored, looking for attention etc or just generally being a dick. as mentioned before fighting isnt always the answer but a lot of the time it can "fix" the problem. my example, this guy kept annoying me etc for like 1 month nearly teasing me etc. then one day he did it and i hit him across the face with my school book (hardcover) then he started fighting with me, it got broken up etc we walked our seperate ways, then 10min later he came and apologised etc. and now we're friends. that doesnt always work and when it doesnt, a lot of the time you'll end up in more trouble (somehow) but sometimes it's the only option.

you installed the game then you changed your video card? hmm i'd try just, uninstall GTA4, restart, reinstall GTA4, restart, then try run GTA4 again. perhaps it's locking up because its looking for a different video card or something? worth a try... just for the record, wikipedia -> GTA4 system requirements not meaning to be a douchebag but it's pretty black and white.

dude that is a bad example because the 9800 WAS exactly the same as 8800 except for tri-sli capability. since he is talking about 9400 and 8500. But I agree with what you're saying sort of (about not a whole big difference). I'd go for the 9400 purely because its the newer card, better support, drivers etc. think of it this way, would you buy a 7600 or a 8600 ? Sure those two are seperate cards but, since they are both reasonably low-end as it is.

I played the demo for this on PS3 looks pretty sweet. I think my friend got it on PC. I was gonna buy it but far out PS3 games like $120 here. So much lol. So far the next games I'm gonna buy for PS3...NFS Shift, MW2, GT5. Still not sure whether to get G25 or not.

For the love of God, I didn't change it. My version is 512MB with support for TurboCache! Yeah i know dude. Just you said .my 7300 GO has turbocache. If i turn that off it fails hard lol, I looked on the NVIDIA site and its not saying. But in the video properties it says its 512MB. I think its 128MB + 384MB TC.

dw about brands lol. end of the day its the same card. lol everyone hating on ASUS, they are good...this laptop is ASUS and ive had like 2 issues. One being the burner was never able to burn audio CD and lately hasnt been able to burn anything and the other just a minor thing, if u unplug the headphones or whatever the speakers pop. What MB's is each card? I think i'd still go 9400. Also, what's the price of the two lol. If 8500 is 20+ % cheaper I guess i'd go for that. @SV id like to see how you change the VRAM ? XD
