  1. The only options I see are for small icons and a decision on when to group (into one small square box with a popup menu for which window for that program you want to switch to). I have my icons only grouping when the taskbar is full, so this allows them to expand and act more like a normal taskbar. Pic relevant: FYI I'm using the glassy aero, but on its whitest setting "frost". Just changed it back to standard (showing dark blue against my black desktop), which makes the orange glow from MSN windows more visible.
  2. You never asked! Plus you should read my site, where I clearly explained that I had it in November.
  3. Final release might be this year if we're lucky. It is scheduled for "3 years after Vista", and Vista was released exactly 2 years ago. Spaz - I get everything, you should know this by now...
  4. Firstly, disconnect any hardware that you've added recently. That includes anything connected via USB, and anything internally (eg graphics card). Then try again. THis should always be your first step when getting a BSOD. Your best bet is using System Restore (whilst in safe mode) to roll back your windows a few days/weeks to before this happened. If that doesn't work, put in your windows disk (or an identical one, for the same version of windows) and choose to repair windows, and it'll fix any files it finds missing, and should stop the bluescreen.
  5. It isn't. It's a lot better than Vista, and final version will probably be better than XP. It already outperforms both XP and Vista in many speed tests, and it isn't even finished. I should know... I'm using it right now. Been using it for over a month. I never upgraded to Vista - I tried it a lot, but hated it And the public beta opens tomorrow! So you can all download it and use it.
  6. They are SO the same person..... They look identical too! I'm with you on Joe Satriani though - I much prefer him to Steve Vai etc.
  7. Neither do I.... Usually its just guys that look after themselves, care about their appearence a lot, are interested in clothes, keeping fit etc that get called gay. Those aren't traditionally masculine values, so people (wrongly) assume that if you like clothes, you like cock.
  8. Could someone at least pretend to read what I wrote? You have no idea how close to the truth that is....
  9. That all explains where TGTAP isn't massive, but not why it appears to have got less active than it used to be, which was the original question.
  10. The entire main site is hand-coded in PHP by Chris, using a "heavily modified" version of ssi.php to extract data (eg news) from the IPB forums. Chris also coded the downloads area and all those various things. If you want to make a website, you could just get a free blog or CMS or forum or something. If you get some hosting, you could install some scripts yourself and have a linked-up website and forum. If you want to design the pages yourself, use Expression Web or Deamweaver to make some HTML pages and upload them to your hosting. If you want to learn HTML and design the pages properly, that's probably best. If you want to learn PHP to make a dynamic site you can log into, that's great but takes ages (months/years) to learn. Basically you can do as much or as little of it as you want, but the quality of the site will depend on the amount of effort and skill that you put into creating it. And it will be obvious if you "cheat" and use pre-made or automatic website creators. Overall, if you have no understanding of how websites work at all, you're best getting a free automatic website. But if you want to put some effort into it, you could set up some hosting with a company (such as mine) and use various free CMS scripts (which there are lots) to make quite a good looking site without too much effort. I could set you up with something like phpnuke or e107 or drupal or whatever, and you'd be up and running in no time (literally minutes). To answer your other question - HTML is a code language for formatting a web page. Like you have some text, and you add things like <b>this is bold</b>. But you can get a lot more complicated than that, and make an entire site design in HTML. Better yet, add in some CSS, which works with HTML to make styling a lot easier and better. Even more complicated is JavaScript, which can make your web page do fancy things, like move around, or open boxes or whatever. HTML, CSS and JS are sent from the website to your browser, then your browser translates it into words, pictures, styles etc. PHP is a server-side language that can change what HTML is sent to you. With PHP you can do everything from find out the current time (and "print" it into some HTML), read stuff from a database or even use 2-way communication to log into a site, write things into a database etc. When you "ask" for a web page, the php runs first, generates the HTML it wants to send to you, then it sends it to you.
  11. Yeah............. howabout discussing award nominations now?
  12. For copyright reasons, we can't allow you to distribute many of the original game files, including ones under 1mb
  13. That's not a recent change, that's always happened. You can't expect everyone to stay here for 5 years. But it's not universal. Out of the first 20 members to join up (back in 04), we have 3 admins, 1 supermod and 9 (mostly inactive) elites. It's a shame cos more often than not we lose the decent members and are left with noobs and spammers, which sucks. I suppose the gang system should help though.
  14. He's absolutely right. Links removed, topic closed.
  15. We can't help you if you downloaded the game illegally. Go buy it like everyone else.
  16. I'm originally from near Middlesbrough, England - where the Sydney Harbour Bridge was built, and where Captain James Cook was from (the guy who discovered Australia etc). But I now live near Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent (where Robbie Williams is from) No good pics really, but there was a plane crash today:
  17. Most of you wont have been affected at all. Sure, money is tight, but it always is. The only real difference would be that its harder to get credit (a loan or mortgage), unless you pay silly amounts of interest. So you cant get that new house or car unless you pay out of your own pocket. The flipside to this problem is that people dont want to buy much, especially not houses, but mostly out of fear rather than a lack of money. Prices are actually coming DOWN to combat this. So chances are it has not affected you (yet). Money is always tight, its just going slower atm.
  18. Anyone got any idea if the Enforcer (swat van), NOOSE Cruiser or NOOSE Patriot spawn in free roam? Alternatively, do they spawn anywhere in single-player where they might also spawn in free roam?
  19. Nominations will (probably) close today soon whenever Chris feels like it, so get your pictures in quickly! Make sure you've chosen no more than 3 pics to be entered into the contest.
  20. I'm using Windows 7 here, sorry about the messy desktop!
  21. No, actually that isn't an opinion Opinion = I think being gay is evil Opinion = I think all fags should die Offensive = being gay is evil Offensive = All fags should die Harwood you're right about the rape thing - being gay makes you no more likely to rape or get raped. In fact, men are a lot harder to rape than women - for anatomical reasons, as well as being generally stronger. Almost all rapes are man-on-woman. As for prison, that is what being deprived of your natural sexuality does to a human adult. Why deprive us of ours just because you don't like the idea of it?
  22. Fair enough, that is your perception and opinion - and it is the same as many other people. You are of course entitled to that, but I am also entitled to show you that it isn't really correct. Please allow me to express my thoughts, and please let me know which you agree with, and why you feel the way you do. Why do you say it is "a bit evil" to be gay? I haven't chosen to be gay, it just so happens (for whatever reason) that I don't find women attractive at all, but I think some guys are really hot. Nothing evil about that, just happens to be what I like and what I don't like. You can't choose what you like - I don't think you ever made a decision to like women, or to like breathing air, or to like pizza. You just do! If the problem is gay men acting on their sexuality, is that wrong? Why is it okay for you to have a girlfriend, have sex, love whoever you choose (whether black, white, fat, thin etc), and its okay for women to have a boyfriend, but its not okay for me to have a boyfriend? Am I not allowed to feel love because of who There is a similar argument that says if someone loved an animal or a child, they are not allowed to have sex or marry them. Pretty much everyone agrees with that (including me). So many people think the same applies to being gay - it is morally wrong, and you shouldn't be allowed to do it. The thing with gay people is that we are consenting adults. It would be fine for us to have sex, just not with each other. What is the point in that? As for all gays being lisping, camp, drag queens- I think you watch too much TV. I know a lot of gay people, and only a very small number of them are "obviously" gay. Nobody has ever guessed that I am gay - I appear completely normal, and I am very masculine. I'm in the Army, I like computers, gadgets, gaming, cars etc. I don't have fancy hair, don't wear fancy clothes, don't talk funny, don't walk funny, don't moisturise etc. Do I look gay to you? (apart from the last photo) The other thing is... does it really matter? This is what Harwood Butcher was hinting at. If your best friend happened to like bananas (but you hated bananas), would you stop being his friend? It doesn't affect you, so you can ignore it and still be friends. If your best friend happened to like other men (but you hate gays) would you stop being his friend? It doesn't affect you, so you can ignore it and still be friends. "I was scared out of my head when it looked as if Prop 8 was going to fail" - why were you scared? What would have happened? It would make no difference to your life at all. All it means is that gay couples (who are already gay, and already couples) could get married, instead of just being gay couples. It's not as if suddenly more gay people will appear, or more people will 'decide' to be gay since its OK now. "For children to be born, a man and woman gotta do it." - what if we don't want children? That isn't all that life is about. What about infertile straight couples, who (for medical reasons) can't have children? Are they unclean? Are they not allowed to be together? Not allowed to have sex? Not allowed to get married? What's the difference? In answer to your first question "How is this natural?" - there are two answers. Firstly, it is natural because I was born gay. Same with everyone else. It might not be completely normal, but it's quite common, and nobody 'did' anything to make it happen. Secondly, even if it wasn't natural, what does that matter? Cars aren't natural, are they evil? Music isn't natural, is that evil? Sex and love are the MOST natural things in the world!
  23. Most of them are built on existing remixes, soulwax, electrosound etc. As well as simply mixing them I've modified them, got various filters and delays on in various places, re-arranged them and layered in a few effects and samples where appropriate. This is only the first stage in the project. I have some remixes I've done myself (in progress), and some tracks I've built up entirely myself from short samples. And I'm using Ableton Live in case you were wondering.
