I have changed the asexual option to "Not interested in sex or love at all", and moved that one vote that was "temporary" to Straight. I hope this poll raises awareness over how common it is to be gay, and that gays are not all flowery camp morons.

Yeah, replays only track vehicles' movements and which vehicle and colour they are. Everything else (decals on vehicles, positions of doors/wigs) is just left at its defaults. Off the top of my head I cant say exacty what is and isnt recorded, but it isnt very much.

There is another person on these forums who is gay, but I won't say who because he doesn't want to be identified. It is people like Tony_Cipriani there who make the whole process hard for us.

1) Which GTA games? There have been five major ones. GTA3/Vice/SanAn all work in the same basic way, but with slight differences. Don't forget mods made for one game won't work with any other. 2) Yes, the PC versions are the only ones beginners can mod. 3) The subforum for each game has instructions on how to install mods, so read the topics in the relevant places, and ask if you're still stuck. The asexual option could be applied to pre-teen kids without any sexual preference, but also to fully developed people who just don't see any attraction in sex. And I am gay btw, and so is Jezz, and nobody has taken the piss yet which is good. Nobody has voted bi either, which is unexpected. Not a lot of emos on here presumably (too busy cutting). It isnt in the main.scm - thats mission/story type data (eg when you go somewhere something happens). The siren is hardcoded into the machine code. You could hack the memory (as in RAM) to change when they came on, or write a separate program to play the siren sound, but you can't edit a particular car to always have the siren. There are just some things you can't change I'm afraid. As for GTA4, Rockstar will be LESS inclined to allow modding, regardless of the big community behind it. The Hot Coffee mod (which was based on a mistake of theirs anyway) cost them millions,

I'm presuming you have the PC version. Trying to get a savegame onto the PS2 or XBox is gonna be a lot harder. If you look in My Documents, there is a folder just for savedgames. Put it in there, it should be called gtasasf1.b or something, and the number on the end is which slot it fits in ingame (1-8).

Just one thing I want to say that I haven't so far: Why? Why on earth do you want to see half-dressed pixelated computer models dry humping? Open MS Paint and draw yourself a penis. Thats exactly the same with killing adults. Killing children is no different, except in our culture it is perceived as even more wrong (morally) and sick. People who murder adults are either evil or desparate, wheras people who murder children are regarded as "sick" or "the devil" or perverts and psychopaths. What's the difference? And if you ask me, which of course you are, there are some kids who I think deserve to die. But that of course isn't how this world works and killing anybody (young or old) is wrong and should never happen. For the sake of argument and for all the clamour that would arise over the issue, it is too risky to put them in at all. I read in the newspaper a sentence about "a game called Grand Theft Auto where you gain points for murdering policement and raping prostitutes." We all know the police come after you and you go to prison if you kill someone. We all know you don't get "points" for anything, you get cash for doing jobs for people. Another newspaper claimed it was a game made for "training criminals to evade and kill the police." So even if a kid was only in a cutscene of a game, or it was impossible to shoot one, or a kid was your own son or something, the media would misinterpret it and get politicians (who dont know anything about it) to ban the game based on what they say. It's the same with the Internet and Net Neutrality. At present, anybody can put anything on the Internet and access any site. But some idiots in Washington think the internet is made of TUBES stuffed full of information, and those tubes are do full with "corporate internet" that we can't get "our personal internet". Because of that, the US government are agreeing to make TWO Internets, one fast one for businesses that pay lots of money, and a slow shitty personal one for all the other sites. The media take one idea and wrongly apply it to everything. We can't change their stupidity so the best we can do is avoid upsetting them, and that means no kids in a GTA game.

Hey we're not here to fight over ideas, we're here to pick the best ones and put them together So starting from the top and losing everything after a long interactive cutscene, working your way back up to the top again in your own way, making your own choices. You would have to go see people yourself and ask them for money or men or help or to join, rather than just receive phonecalls which a monkey could answer, have to make your own decisions about daring to visit the mafia boss to ask him if you can borrow $1m to pay back the other gang etc. I'm loving all these ideas. Keep em flowing people.

That's a great idea. Working your way back up to where you came from is a good enough goal, and then you can go even further. It even gives enough opportunity for the player to decide how they want to do that, and there are loads of paths you could take, eg going and killing the rival gang leader yourself, or making loads of friends to help you do it, or becoming the leader of other gangs to bring a super gang against your rivals. Plus its similar to VC where you lost all the money and drugs and had to work all over again to get it back to end up where you started

The storyline is actually very linear - you branch out a lot to do side missions and you can do some bits of the linear story in different orders - but it very much happens in (overlapping) chunks. In San An you have to return, then sort out whats going on, then set up some business ventures... (not going to finish because spoiler) That is a storyline, and that is exactly how it will happen for everybody who plays the game. We will have unique experiences in what we do inbetween, but interaction between main characters is purely in missions which you either pass or fail. Wouldn't it be great if we could come here in late 2007 and say things like this: "Oh this mission i got was so cool - I accidentally killed the mafia boss so the entire mafia were after me and Toreno so I had to rescue him and take him to a hideout but we got ambused by the mafia" Missions that make themselves because of stuff thats happened? It isnt that crazy - people in the streets might start off walking but they might run away if you start shooting or they might attack you if they notice you're from an enemy gang. Why can't missions do the same if something major has happened?

It is unlikely that ghostchild would be asking how to downgrade from v2. Lots of members have this problem and there are some members that go totally the wrong way about asking how. We've been getting people sending an emergency post report asking how to downgrade or install mods - crazy.I wouldn't believe this guy, and I wouldn't send him anything. Block and Delete is the best tactic. If it really was ghostchild he would have PMmed you on the forums. Remember: Sending files from San Andres IS illegal, especially the gtasa.exe Yeah account 1 is just the root admin. That is left alone mainly for security reasons.
