I live in the midwest US & animal abuse IS taken seriously, resulting in fines & in some cases incarceration. The problem is, someone has to bitch (a lot) to get anything done. The first "True Crime" was okay, better that Atari's idiot bastard step-child "DRIV3R" & "Getaway: Black Monday". Never played "True Crime NY", how does it compare to the first one? If I haven't mentioned it in here yet, "FANTAVISION" was pretty inane, made for 6-year-olds. I literally watched Mamma Kitty's "BFF" (HA!) waste away on "Ever-Crack" (Everquest). If I didn't have to buy a subscription to play it, I would put together a war party, find & destroy here castle & kill her off (in the game). She's worse than the D&D nerds back in the '80s that killed themselves when their characters died.

According to the clerk at a local game shop, there is a continuation in the works, have not found anything solid yet. If they do, I hope they get it working BEFORE they release it. Bikes & planes would be nice. PRO-TIP Don't let your Gang heat meter max out if you can help it. Last night I took 2 distribution runs (Little Havana & Down Town) in a row & maxed my gang heat. I sent out my enforcer to clean up the heat (left the Bodog Stampede out for him to use) & thought it was safe when I reduced the gang heat to 0. I called for the Limo & SURPRISE!!! It pulled up across the street behind me & turned around to go to it I found it in flames up in a tree. Repair bill was $50,000. CONO! I CAN'T TRUST NOBODY! Finished all the property missions in South Beach & took over the store house last night. Distribution is gonna suck.

Skycrane was a Leviathan, it just had a bit of code that added the magnet for that mission. You would have to do script edit to make it work again. There is at least one more topic on this, either here or in GTASA MODDING, dig a little & you should find it. You might find it helpful.

The only problem is the addictive nature of the game. Sorry, I'm on PS2. Start a female Urb & go to Gasoline Row. Watch all the guys get bent outa' shape when you hit on the other girls. That's funny. Anyway, back to topic. Sacrface: The World is Yours had the potential to be the one to claim GTA's place, until the developers decided ti hire the mentally retarded to port it to PC. If you have it on PC, do NOT run their "official" patch. Last time I played it, I ran the patch & had tons of stupid problems. This time, (after a wipe & reinstall) I didn't use the patch & it's a lot better. Still have laggy video (They recommend an N-vidia 6800 on a game that looks like Vice City), but it's tolerable. This is because of some "shading affect" they came up w/ for the game.

I presume you're playing PC version. Also presume you know about V1, V2 & downgrader issues. What you'll need is the "Leviathan" (for aircraft) or "Tow Truck/Farm Tractor" (cars & trucks) code from MAIN.SCR & add the names of the vehicles you want to modify. Of course, you'll have to start a new game for the new script & only saves made w/ that script will work w/ it. Anyway, I see you're new so read the rules, welcome & enjoy.

It's an old formula, find something to vilify & start bitching. The scary part is that sometimes it works. A disgruntled Austrian started bitching on street corners in the late '20s. Stick to the tunnels & drive into (& dodge) oncoming traffic traffic to keep the pursuers form killing your van. It's tricky but doable. I seem to remember doing this one in short order w/ that strategy.

Cowboy Bebop is on Adult Swim again, love that show. I just keep missing the first episode so I'll probably just get the box set for myself for Christmas. Torchwood (BBC America on Saturday night around here) is pretty good also, It's a spin-off of Doctor Who (another recent favorite, Sci-Fi Friday night). You kids... That's just back fire. In a street car, you have at least a muffler to contain these so you don't see or hear them. In a racing exhaust or w/ "fart can" mufflers, the back fire makes it out to the end of the pipe & you see/hear it. It's the result of suddenly dropping to a lower gear & raising your RPMs. You get a bunch of unburned fuel in the exhaust system & at the high RPMs the exhaust valves aren't completely sealed. On top of that, you also get a sudden advance of spark (on older ignition systems, not sure on the new ones) & literally light off the exhaust. BOOM!!! Model A fords had an manually adjustable ignition advance (I used to restore them, a lifetime ago). You could play around & make some nice loud back fires. The guy I worked for did it to mess w/ his dog, until he blew up his muffler. IHRA Dragsters or Sprint cars make a nice show at night.

A quick search showed there is a Vista patch for SA (& other titles) but it's a v 1.1 patch, so if you run it you'll have to downgrade. I entered "GTASA Vista patch" in google & got a few hits on other forums about running the patch. At this point, you're probably taking the best course by switching back to XP (gamewise).
