Bear in mind that R*/TT is a business & ultimately their goal is to make money. In the article, he blames the union (I think he's right) for not getting him a decent contract w/ royalties. He knew what he was making up front & he didn't have to handle PR headaches like J(A)T or will have to deal w/ settlements like the one from SA's "Hot Coffee" In R*'s defense, they gave a nobody $100,000 for pretty easy work, he just had the right voice for the part & I'm pretty sure he can deduct the cost of the language classes from 100% from his taxes as he used that for a legitimate job. He also got exposure & will probably get more work just because he was Niko Bellic. He'll probably start out playing villians in James Bond movies or maybe catch a part on a TV series (Stargate Atlantis?) Considering that, I'd be real happy to get what he did w/out breaking my back.

Suggestion to all having trouble driving in GTA4 (not sarcasm, really helps). If you have access to a PS2, get Gran Turismo 4 & do the driving schools. The techniques you learn in GT4 really help w/ GTA4's new handling. You'll still have to practice but it helps, a lot.

I watched one guy drive off a bridge in Broker & suddenly show up halfway across it. Lagging should be the FIRST thing R* addresses.

GTA races are a blast, you get money for placing in the race + for kills. Last night, it never failed. I'd start a race in Star Junction driving a nice Comet & by the last lap everybody's either in a bus or on that damn Scooty-Puff Jr. I actually won a couple of those for an easy $1250 each.

On the other hand PS3 has Motostorm & other exclusive titles. The solution is to work a few extra hours & get both consoles. I'm also looking for a Wii by Christmas.

The problem w/ spawn distance is that it happens irregardless of the selected distance. I think it's a glitch.

I got a shot of 15 at Blueberry Acres farm, I just kept running laps around the farm & picking up another as they spawned (East side of barns, in the grass) or sniped the farmer. I had 16 when CJ got hungry & had to run to town th hit the Sprunk machine. Got my "surprise" coming back. I only salvaged 6 of my beloved Tractors.

That would make it easier to get down from the Statue of happiness or the Get-a-Life building.

I already have the X360 but am look at getting a PS3. One of the things I like about the X360 is the hard drive, it just pops on/off the side of the console. Is the PS3 HD as easy/quick to change? As it stands, I'm leaning towards a 60 gig off e-bay.

The biggest glitch I've seen online is the lagging, players jumping all over the place in deathmatches & not taking damage (as in a shotgun blast in the face from 5 feet w/ AUTO AIM on). The other side of this one is I had one match where nobody could see me & I couldn't affect other players, even w/ the RPG. Spawn distance also needs work, players respawn right next to each other. I was in one match on Charge Island where some poor so-&-so kept spawning right in front of me (he really should've let me out of the water when I kept spawning on the edge of a dock & falling in when I took a step). The next thing that needs fixed is the physics of Niko moving around on foot. Compared to CJ or Tommy Niko has all the grace of a cinder block, can't seem to turn sharply while running & limps on stairs like he's drunk & has a head injury. I'm getting sick of the crybabies arguing when they want a match set up their way, & when they don't get it you start hearing "BOOT THE HOST, BOOT THE HOST!" The host should be able to arbitrarily boot players on their own & have immunity to being booted. I'm into boats & helis but so far most of the races end up as appeasement to crybabies who want to race (GTA's version of) Lambos & Hummers. To date I've had 2 heli races & 1 boat race. On that note, being able to select vehicle specific races should be added to race options (like all PMP 600 or all Futo). Someone wanted all Faggios & that sounded like fun but some dildo started w/ "BOOT THE HOST!"

It depends on where/how your console is set up (airflow around the case,ventilation,etc) & how bad it's overheating. X360s are as much voodoo as science.
