One of the things I like best about GTA, there's still plenty to do after you beat the game.

For quick screenshots, I keep a blank pic on my desktop, BLANK.BMP & it's set to open w/ Windows Paint. I just hit PRINT SCREEN, pause the game & hit the key w/ the Windows logo (by space bar on US keyboards) & open BLANK. Paste & use the option SAVE AS to name it & you're done, one screenshot. Worst case, get the camera out of the bedroom of CJ's house in Ganton.

We'll probably see a bunch of these right up to actual release, so i figure it as "I'll see it when I see it".

Technically - R* either didn't have motorcycle handling/physics figured out for GTA3 or just didn't consider them important until VC. Once motorcycles were added, they were left in for titles that followed, they were just really popular & added to the games overall. For sake of story - The ban in effect in GTA3 was temporary & I'd expect references to it in GTA4, like a news story behind why it was finally lifted or A.R.S.E. trying to get another ban.

Finance companies, they are agents of Satan. In the beginning of December I had to chose between making a car payment & giving my kids Christmas. This was after I had a few speculations (buy/fix/sell old cars) fall through at the last minute (got stuck w/ 4) & my state contracting deal rolled over into a new office, holding up my paycheck for a few weeks. At least they picked it up the the day after instead of on Christmas day. The same day the finance company sent me the re-reinstatement contract, they sent my 'Stang to an auction house in another state. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to track down my car through 4 different companies & ended up paying a chunk, but after saying things like "state attorney general" & "acting in bad faith" (sending the car to auction AFTER they agreed to accept payment & return the car) they decided to be reasonable. I also had the name of the (insert bad insults here) handling the repo & her direct phone number, information she didn't want included in a lawsuit if the car wasn't returned upon payment. But the 'Stang is back in it's spot in front of the house, just on time for snow. How's your day?

It goes back & forth, GTA3 used a lot of Scarface's (movie) music sound track & Vice City had the general Miami theme/drug trade & little references like the chainsaw in the motel room a couple blocks behind Tommy's first save house. I think Scarface can stand on it's own. If you haven't played it & are into GTA, it's worth getting. Those new to this topic - It'll take a few minutes, but there are a few things in the earlier posts that are worth looking at if you haven't read through it already. Maybe we should smoke cigars together sometime.

Before you open your GTA3.IMG file (w/ IMG TOOL 2.0 or similar) make a back up copy in case it goes wrong. At one point, I had a chart that showed the various peds & their names but you could look at PEDGRP.DAT in DATA to find the names of peds called in game & see where they are supposed to show up. For example, here are the golfers (original line from file + unused preacher added) - WMYGOL1, WMYGOL2, WMOPREA # POPCYCLE_GROUP_GOLFERS If you have access to San Fierro, you could save the original PEDGRP.DAT file & change the line to show what other peds look like like this - BFYPRO, HFYPRO # POPCYCLE_GROUP_GOLFERS Now the only peds on the golfcourse should be LS prostitutes. I've played around a little w/ scripting but haven't got races sorted yet.

WOW! 5 posts & you run this site, good on you. Have you ever considered that some of these people (posting the "help me" topic) are new to forums & just learning how it works? How quickly did YOU get busted/wasted first time you played GTA? It even has strategy guides. There's nothing like that for people new to forums, they just wade in & learn on the fly. Lighten up a little.

So these guys found the part of MAIN.SCR that has the cheats? I'm definitely interested in that & would appreciate if they could provide the approximate line #s (un-modded version). Out of of over 550,000 lines (yes, I looked) it probably took them a while to dig it out. I'm guessing it depends on which cheat is used as to whether or not 100% is affected, was just going by an old GTA guideline.

Got the last mission on Godfather, going for 100% complete now.

I'd love to have the VCS Little Willie converted to SA, it was as good as the Maverick. NRG 500 is the bike for the NRG challange in SF drydock. FCR900 is the bike from SF Syndicate mission "T-bone Mendez"

Before you take anything apart, is it still under warranty? If so find the nearest authorizes Sony rep & have them get it out. Just don't mention the interruption of power.

So a custom player skin in GTA3 or VC is okay (simple bitmap, can make/edit w/ Windows Paint), but models need to be what came w/ the game. Thanks for the clarification. Just for record, "Duck Season" reflects no mods, only things that came w/ SA.

Either Phil Collins is a closet nutter or his career is just that desperate. But yeah, he fits in good in VCS. I think '84 was the highpoint of his career. GTA (3D) has always had a variety of music, even country made it into SA.
