Pandora
I'd be guessing 12.5 gig. I voted wrong >_< Did 10 by accident.
justhes
I'd be guessing 12.5 gig.I voted wrong >_< Did 10 by accident. i would say 10 the min and maybe 12 the max, who knows, rockstar might be able to compress it, or if they dont, it wil take a lot, and they'll have to do more than on dvd
Pandora
File size would probably be bigger then the console version. They always polish up the textures a bit and stuff.
Red_91
To be honest, truthfully I cant see GTAIV coming out on PC, it hasn't been confirmed by anyone jst rumoured but anywas on topic I think around 13 maybe 14GB.
Urbanoutlaw
Agreed, when it hits PC, it'll be huge (file size). Depending on the delay between Console versions & PC, they might also include the DLC as part of the PC package (Speculation).
Pandora
I don't think San Andreas PC version was confirmed before the console version was released. And they'd lose lots of sales by not porting it. As much as I love GTA, I wouldn't buy a full console just for that one game. BTW, was it confirmed that the prob with the 360 was space on the DVD? Edit: Or the DLC can be bought as add-on in shops.. maybe.
Red_91
They wouldn't lose lots of sales if it wasn't ported to teh PC but I do agree that its stupid to buy a consoel just for one game.
Pandora
Well I'd reckon more then 1/3 of all San Andreas copy's are for PC.
Highwire
I voted for 12gb cause IV will be so much better with lots of graphics etc. so it will cost lots of space.

Pandora
Well, the ps3 only has 256 MB RAM, so I guess 1 to 1.5 gig for PC should be enough.
MrLlamaLlama
Colin Macrea DIRT was nearly 11 gigs ( ithink) so IV will definitely surpass that, possiblt 12 aswell. I voted 12. If IV doesn't get ported to PC, i will find the nearest infant and kick it really, really hard.

Huckleberry Pie
Well, the ps3 only has 256 MB RAM, so I guess 1 to 1.5 gig for PC should be enough. 1.5 GB? That's PSP territory. San Andreas for the PC had a 4GB footprint, and judging from the graphics, it would definitely take a lot of space, like 12-15GB. The PS3 manages to do next-gen stuff with only 256MB of RAM because it's a dedicated gaming computer (except when you install Linux on it, or turn it into a barbecue grill), and since a portion of the PCs resources are used by the OS, more memory is needed to run a game. Righty
PS3 is a RISC computer. RISC = Reduced Instruction Set Computer. Hard drive space doesn't really bother me, I guess. I'm prepared to buy another hard drive if I have to.
Urbanoutlaw
Look at the screenshots already released, extreme graphics intensive. That = huge files & a PC version will most likely have more detailed textures than the console version. Someone said the PS3 has 256 meg of RAM, I just did a quick search & the specs also list 256 meg of VRAM (presume video RAM). Judging from the PS3 specs, the PC system requirements might not be too far above SA. Or so we could hope.

ZEI
hey if the bluray disk holds 40gigs(feel free to correct me if i'm wrong[and have evidence]) then the pc version would not be compatible unless you had more than 8 cd's just to create the pc file. a dvd drive to run faster, more than 2 gigs RAM for quick game play. haha it would be worth it though

Is the DVD disc going to be a dual layer one?
Snazzybacon
it will be near 5.6 or something i think shit 12gigs is alot of space you know....
Pandora
5.6? That's just about 30% more then San Andreas. I doubt it, highly. It's closer to 300% more then 30%.

Pandora
A single layer Blu-Ray disc can 'only' hold 25 gig BTW. And DVDs are far cheaper to produce so I think producing one Blu-Ray disc would actually be more expensive then producing an amount of DVDs that will equal the storage-space.
