  1. Yeah, that article really sounded like it was saying they'll both get downloadable content, just the 360 will also get the two episodes as well... Hopefully they'll clear this up quick.
  2. True, but is this still in affect? GTA IV is being released at the same time on both, so wouldn't you consider Sony's exclusivity to be gone? :/
  3. The way I see it, Microsoft wants Xbox to be the home of Grand Theft Auto. They want people to think, "Oh, GTA? That Xbox game?" That's why they're going out of their way for the downloadable content and what not, so I think they'd be willing to spend some big cash to get everything Sony gets and more. I'd expect those three games to be Xbox Originals as well. How could they be considered XBox originals if they were never originally on the XBox??? If they came to the Market Place or whatever on XBox Live! then they still couldn't be considered XBox originals because it didn't go to the XBox until 10 years or so after they were originally released. I think Sony payed Rockstar money to have Grand Theft Auto on the PSOne so I think they're partially owned by Sony, in a way, not really though. The originals are basically Sony's territory. I think you missed something, that comment about the games coming to Xbox Originals was regarding GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas -- all of which have been released on the Xbox. But you're forgetting something, aren't the first two GTA games also out on PC? And the games aren't Sony's property by any means, Rockstar owns them and can do as they please with them. Now if Sony has some sort of contract (which I doubt seeing as how III-IV have all been on the Xbox) then that's a different story. The way I see it, GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas will all be released on Xbox Originals before GTA IV hits stores. I also think that GTA and GTA II will be out on both the PSN and Xbox Live Arcade before GTA IV is released. But whatever, time will tell I suppose. It can't be much longer before they make some sort of announcement regarding this, right?
  4. Posted as news: http://www.thegtaplace.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry242407 Mark, you're given credit for the find.
  5. A new piece of artwork has found its way on the Internet featuring Little Jacob firing what looks to be either an AK-47 or an SMG-type weapon. The artwork is said to be from GamesMaster’s preview of GTA IV. Click here for a larger version of the below thumbnail. Thanks Jayt001 and mark866!
  6. Me too, but it seems to be changing to me.
  7. How won't it? Cheaper system, game is being release on the same date, (most likely) better online (we all know 'Live tops PSN), exclusive content you can't get anywhere else, and there are more Xbox 360s out there then PS3s meaning it'll most likely sell better on the 360. Also, nearly all previews of the game have been done on Xbox 360 hardware, that kind of says a lot IMO (not saying the PS3 version won't be as good, just saying it seems like the Xbox is their system of choice this time around). If they drop the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade model by April 29th to $250 (or lower) there's no doubt anyone who just wants the new GTA will just buy an Xbox 360 due to the pricing.
  8. And again, Microsoft obviously wants to change that.

  10. I see why they'd go on the 360: to make more money. Nooo, why would they put it on there for money??? That'd be ridiculous. Why is only the 360 getting downloadable content? You said: So I told you why they'd come to the 360. And the Xbox 360 is getting downloadable content because Microsoft probably payed Rockstar Games more money for it then they could ever dream of making from it.
  11. I see why they'd go on the 360: to make more money.
  12. The Official PlayStation Magazine claims that Rockstar Games is set to release the first two top-down Grand Theft Auto titles, GTA and GTA II, on the PlayStation Network. The magazine seemed to be hinting at the release being in the near future as well: A scan of the very short article can be found here. It isn’t yet known if the titles will also be released on the Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 users, but if their claims are true, then I wouldn’t doubt it.
  13. I'm just curious, wouldn't it be nice for them to release both Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories on the Xbox Live Arcade, or perhaps Xbox Originals? It would have been great of them to release them right before GTA IV, but I guess that won't happen seeing as there hasn't been an announcement. Anyone else want this?
  14. Maybe a few more, but these are some of my favorites: Gears Of War Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Max Payne 2 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Shadow Of The Colossus
  15. I remember I left some PC game disc in my laptop for quite some time, it can barely read the disc now! So many scratches! At least mine didn't explode.
  16. The picture for the "Douchebag" is so perfect!
  17. UK magazine PSM3 is boasting a nice 13-page-long extensive preview of GTA IV in their latest issue. This is the first time (or so we know) that a magazine or website has previewed the game on PlayStation 3 hardware. The preview is said to contain four brand new screenshots, which can all be seen here (thanks to Buubar for the scans and information). Highlights of the preview: The preview was done on PS3 hardware. This would, of course, make sense since the magazine is PSM3. While on a motorbike, if you are to crash your helmet may fly off depending on the size of the collision. The environment (buildings and such) may be damaged and destroyed depending on how much you fire at it (obviously a rocket launcher-type weapon would do more damage, etc.). Niko’s cell phone is now slightly more useful: you can now use it to call the police, fire department, etc. In addition, you can also listen to any of Liberty City’s 18 radio stations with it. You should even be able to take pictures, and then upload them onto the police’s computer! Liberty City’s Lincoln Tunnel goes by the name of the “Booth Tunnel”. The faster you tap X, (equivalent to 'A' on the Xbox 360), the faster Niko runs. In PSM3’s demo, he didn’t seem to grow tired after sprinting, however I personally believe this would change. As in previous GTA’s, the first few missions will introduce you to the many new characters, and will be filled with tutorials and what-not. When hurt, health is restored by medical kits, resting, or by eating. Stay tuned for many more previews (as the news seems to be coming like crazy these days)!
  18. LOL, did you take me seriously?! NO, I don't have hair like Mike Score of A Flock Of Seagulls, that was a joke. Wow.
  19. Brilliant website update! So much new information on the characters as well! I'll try and see what we can do with all the videos as they must be posted on here and available for download as well. My favorite of the videos has got to be the Roman Bellic one!
  20. Hopefully we get some information on the multiplayer! Oh, and didn't the Liberty City Stories website updates always feature a new trailer? I'd guess this would be the same, right?
  21. Mine is an exact replica of this: or so I wish...
  22. I'm of a big fan of both Michael Jackson and Elton John. (:
  23. You mean they didn't play "How I Could Just Kill A Man," "Take The Power Back," and "Bullet In The Head"?! That would've been a major let down to me, those are my favorite. Regardless, they're an amazing group. Is it true they're going to get back together, tour, and release a new album? I'd pay anything to see a full reunion and not at some festival were they play for thirty minutes, I want a two hour RATM show. (:
