Well this forum probably isn't the best place, because I doubt many of the kids at GTA Portable come here too, though some might. I had an infamous stab at the GTA-Addic guys a while back. I actually tried to point Fido in the right direction, I pointed out all the things he was doing wrong and he fixed some shit, but it still a bit n00bish. As for the other staff there I've no idea who they are but they're just a bunch of n00bs. Obviously you aren't racist, so just ignore these forum trolls. Why don't you just name and shame them? Who the hell cares, nothing's going to happen to you. Quote what they've said etc. If the trolls come over here then they've got another thing coming. Just like when I IP redirected the n00b who posted crap here and abused the contact form of my web design portfolio threatening me and calling me gay etc. He got redirected to a "Last Measure" site (wikipedia that if you don't know). After a couple of days he emailed me with more boring insults, I then emailed him back explaining all the shit to him, took off the redirection, and he hasn't ever spammed since. Problem solved.

Why the hell would I play games on a laptop though, I have a perfectly powerful desktop for that. Laptop gaming is shit. Also I wouldn't use bootcamp, I'd just run any windows programs (apart from Office I can't actually see what I'd use) in Parallels. Simple as. Here in the UK an equally specced laptop costs much the same as a MacBook (with my NUS discount). There's no way in hell I'd build a laptop from scratch. As for the driver argument, most popular devices are made to standards which both Windows and OSX incorporate. My iPod, digital camera and phone will all work flawlessly. Mac's are the worlds #1 product in terms of consumer demand, their userbase isn't so tiny anymore, a satirical comic btw is not a credible source. Unless you're a gamer or are seriously strapped for cash there really aren't that many valid reasons to prefer Windows. I'm sorry but your Anti-Mac stance mirrors Gerard's (or what he used to think anyway) and I won't take it. This topic should be split anyway if you want to carry on this subject. Otherwise we ought to keep discussing the iPhone.

Yeah the storage is very weak indeed. I read that Zune has only 2% market share, which I find pretty funny. Apple has come such a long way in the last 3 or 4 years it's really amazing. Everything they make is sexy as hell. And their computers are actually worth buying now too. Much better than shitty virus-adware-spyware-prone Windows, plus they can run virtually and Windows program now. Meh... gotta get myself a MacBook Pro soon!

It fucking owns, too bad I won't be able to get one until 2008 maybe. But yeah, that phone is massive win.

Lol Jace trying to blur out your illegal software eh? BTW looks like you missed that GBA emulator

Sprunk was a joke on Sprite, hence the similar logo. Fake ads are funnier yes.

Ha, me too, I hate talking. It seems I become less and less anonymous everyday now But if we all [webmasters] do it then I guess it won't be so bad. Imagine the hilarious mix of accents in the lineup: Me - English - not a distinct accent though I allegedly sound camp and/or posh to some people (I'm neither ) Neil - Scottish Adriaan - South African adamcs - Scottish? Jordan - deep big American footballer style Not sure what other webmasters were interested, that's all I can remember from who was in the convo.

Raise your hand if you would be willing to submit a recording, hopefully you have a decent mic and audio recording app... (don't raise your hands actually, I won't see them, just post here instead)

Hooray for my amazing censorship! I still like the colour versions BTW. Very fit. Just realised they're almost 2 years old,

Slightly important point to consider The game would almost certainly HAVE to be set in modern day if this is confirmed, you couldn't have the game set in for example, the 60's, because in game advertising would be stupid because the products/services would be totally irrelevant. Few related products existing then are still popular today. I mean they could have modern ads in an old setting, but it would be pretty retarded IMO. So yeah, just a little detail we can more or less confirm in addition to the fact in game ads would be... we'll have to wait and see.

I've voted 360 at the moment. The Wii doesn't really appeal to my interests at all, and the PlayStation 3 isn't out here in the UK yet, I've never played on one and don't want to judge it before I've even used it. So far I don't really have many gripes with the 360 so it's got to be my fave, for the moment.

Yeah I'm just experimenting a little. Since all the subforums were fairly large now I thought they might be better if they were all visible on the main page. We'll see how it goes anyway. If people prefered it how it was before then they will make a topic in the forum and complain about it

OMG how many more you got, the ones you sent me on MSN ages ago which are the same black and white style as this are all different... you have loads more? I'll IM you

Agreed on the processors, the Core 2 Duo is far better than the Pentium D. The ATi or nVidia. They're the two kings of graphics cards, they're pretty much on a par in my opinion. It really won' t make that much difference at all, though I just had a quick look at the tech specs of both, which I don't fully understand but I can tell that the nVidia is slightly better. It has a 256bit interface as opposed to that Ati which is 128bit. Other than that they're quite similar.

Obviously. There is no news yet to talk about. Also wtf. "I suggested it years ago" - So you want credit or something? I don't recall ever hearing this suggestion, and podcasting wasn't even that popular years ago, only last year did it take off. STFU G

A few months ago in an MSN convo with a few other webmasters (and individually thereafter) it was suggested (as a joke or otherwise) that it would be a cool idea if some of the GTA webmasters got together and created a podcast for you, the community, to download. Now I don't know how many of us would definitely do it, but there were 5 webmasters from the most popular GTA sites who were in that convo, I believe there would be at least 2 or 3 that would be willing to do it. It hasn't really been discussed in detail, and has only cropped up in conversation a handful of times. It would be a first for probably any fansite or group of fansites for any videogame. The podcasts would most likely have us talking about the week's news, mods, maybe having 'guests' talk about the game etc. What I'm wondering is what are your initial reactions and thoughts to this, and whether you think it would be a good idea or a bad idea. If you think it's a good idea and have any thoughts on what we could talk about the please post them here too, it will help us reach a decision.

Looks like this So if I'm gonna choose a different font, since I'm still not happy with this one, Which category here would be the best to find a font for my sig do you think?
-
Agreed. Ignore the tools flaming you BTW nice pics kokane I haven't even seen those 2 before.
-
Yeah but I'm bored of it now, and I wasn't the one who made it anyway, though it is kinda funny, but time for a new sig. Someone else can use that if they want.
-
All right I updated it, different font...
-
I know I couldn't really find a suitable font to go with it, not really sure with what style to go with...
-
So I decided to see if could make myself a nice siggy in Photoshop... My photoshopping skills are in no way great, and I don't claim they are... but I came up with this for my first try.. What do you think?
