Help Me To Solve My White Problem In GTA Vice City
chris82 replied to Sasan's topic in GTAVC Gameplay & Help
Adding more than a few cars into GTA Vice City will give you this problem and unfortunatly, it can't be helped. I also doubt someone will send you a file as big as gta3.img. Just re-install the game and you'll get a new one. -
what platform would you buy gtaIV for?
chris82 replied to justhes's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
Both PC and Xbox 360. Xbox 360 because it's the best, cheapest console for GTA4, in addition to downloadable content. PC because of the nice graphics improvements, new features, and leet mods that can be made. -
Not true actually, Windowblinds sucks and causes tons of problems for me. It makes all my games crash upon startup and lowers my fps. Basically you just have to get the UXTheme patcher, patch your file, then go to crystalxp.net and get the Vista Inspirat theme. It's sexy and it comes with a utility to make your taskbar transparent like in the pic. @Jace: I'm gonna PM you about it @Oskar: Lawl, 800x600

Do any of you guys think IV will get AO?
chris82 replied to Stojko's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
Ain't that the beauty of it all? I especially like the ESRB rating system because stores will sell M-rated games, for 17 year olds and up, but move up a rating to AO, for 18 year olds and up, and all of a sudden you're up shit creek. I think that Maddox puts it best. -

chris82 replied to Stojko's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
AO is Adults Only. It's an 18+ person rating, meaning the games aren't allowed to be sold to people under 18. Most stores in the US don't sell/rent AO games, and Sony refuses to license games rated AO for play on the PS3. Basically, 16+ (PEGI) and 15 (BBFC) are equivalent to "M" (17+) in the US. 18+/18 are similar to AO, except in Europe they don't give a shit about Jack Thompson so they aren't afraid to sell these games to people. -
Yes, the E6600 seems to be one of the weapons of choice these days. You'll see a huge improvement over the P4. Oh, August is coming.

Chris = first name 82 = number that I used to tell people was my birth year (1982) on internet forums so they'd think I was older My avatar is Fry from Futurama. One of the best shows around and I've been using that avatar for 2+ years My sig is Claude from GTA3 and an eroded background which I think looks cool, as well as the DS sig and a userbar that says what I like. Oh and a link to my profile where you'll find the summary of TGTAP that I also wrote 2+ years ago.

Yes, PM us and we'll get right on the ball. As you can see, MishoM has already taken his position in stride. So, in conclusion,

Well, the card should have a warranty. Plus, how do you know it wasn't the cooling in your case? Did you check your temps regularly. You can't discriminate against an entire company based on one card. I've had two bad nVidia cards. The FX5500 and GeForce 6100. Both cards gave me constant crashes and the drivers sucked. The 8800s are good cards, but IMO they're too expensive for what you get, when you consider the fact that DX10 is worthless until Crysis. Intel? That depends on the processor. Anything with Pentium or Celeron in the title=sucks. Core 2=awesome. Core 2 saved Intel, because for several years, the P4 got owned by the Athlon XP/64. Great! Shame you won't have them all arrive at once, I'd hate to knowingly have access to better components and not be able to use them.

Hmm...turning it on/off is a good option, but I still think it should be on by default. I mean, anyone can get the basic idea of GTA. One button to run. One to shoot, etc.. But if the information is correct, then we're gonna have to learn the new maneuvers. Besides, they are included in missions. What's wrong with that?

Of course there'll be more members, lots of people will get the game and come the forum for information and help.

True, but then again you could say that Christmas is weird to celebrate because Jesus Christ isn't born every year, they say it happened a long time ago. Same thing with Easter, Thanksgiving, etc... But whatever, I watched a fireworks show on the 29th, it was pretty good because the house I was at was right behind where they were set off. And of course an excuse to eat a lot. BTW I'm really surprised Righty didn't reply to this.

No, it disables the achievements in the Xbox 360 version.

What? That article clearly says multiple times that Shadowrun will run fully on Windows XP by replacing a few .dll files. That is full implementation. How is an OS that takes this long to get industry support "pretty good?" You know why Halo 2 PC failed? Because it was for Vista, and since so few people have Vista, nobody plays it. Now if MS had done been pricks about it and gave XP support to the game, it would be popular like Halo 1 for PC. Wow, 3.5x the amount of memory consumed for a "cool-looking" UI with little to no new practical features. Unless you count searching your computer like what Spotlight in OSX does. But Google Desktop does that in XP without such a steep memory increase. System requirements are a bitch, aren't they MS? Wow, Vista's been out for about eight months, and nVidia nor ATi can pump out a decent driver that fixes these performance issues? That would be a big problem for sure. Sauce Anyway good for you Chris, as long as you're upgrading it won't hurt.

You don't need to get Vista, it's already been proven that DirectX 10 games work on Windows XP. Vista is useless.

Moved, try looking around the Viceport area.

Perhaps clear your cache. Or use Firefox.

What are you eating/drinking right now?

"Cuppa" redirects to tea on wikipedia so I'm guessing it's tea. -

Bobbs, a.k.a whoopie pies, which are basically two semi-thin brownies separated by vanilla filling. Think a giant Oreo except soft and more delicious. -
Oh and it should keep track of what you shoot (memorable stuff anyway) in the statistics. Like in Scarface, when you shot somebody specific, they would act accordingly and where you shot would show up on screen. Same thing in GTA4, only it would count your shots in that particular body part in the stats, instead of appearing on screen. Left nut shot=priceless.

What are you going to do when GTA IV comes out first day?
chris82 replied to 7.62mm's topic in GTA IV Discussion + Help
Good plan, except I think we need to add more steps... 1. Take off plastic 2. Sniff package, books, and safety deposit box 3. Skim art book 4. Examine music cd 5. Look at manual 6. Lock everything besides game and case into safety box and lock it 7. Insert disk into Xbox 360 8. Profit by playing a few missions offline 9. Profit by playing online the entire night Btw, this is fitting for my 1,600th post right? -
Well, it's coded, modeled, textured, etc...in the UK but the animation and sound recording are done in New York. So it's made in both countries. Either way, that shouldn't matter, GTA hasn't traditionally been as violent as Manhunt, so I doubt it's even close to an AO-rating, although it would be funny if Rockstar put an easter egg in, maybe have two eggs going at it and you unlock it by changing the same variable that was changed to unlock Hot Coffee.

GTA IV Downloadable content for PS3
chris82 replied to Spidey-Man's topic in Episodes from Liberty City
They don't know, that information is NOT frequently updated. You should really only trust major gaming sites, such as this one, as well as Microsoft/Sony, and even they're slow to update, as pointed out by Win. Hell, that page even says the game supports memory cards. What? The console doesn't even have memory cards.
